When a believer is saved, it is the spirit man indeed that is saved, while the soul is not completely saved, Rom12v2, we can see clearly that Paul was addressing believers that are already saved, that is the reason why one is still susceptible to some sinful tendencies. The concept of the doctrine that once saved forever saved is a doctrine that has been existing even right from the bible. This doctrine is called the doctrine of the Laodiceans from the seven churches in Asia Minor. The word of God has already given us clear answers to these questions, Hebrews 10:26 tells us that " if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of truth, then there is no sacrifice for sins left " and Jesus mentioned that the ones that love him are the ones that keep his commands(John14:21,23). 1 Like |
