pls I have already got my Sa Visa bought my ticket too. pls I'm confused as to making hotel reservation and cos someone told me I have to pay cash as I could be disallowed at the point of entry if I did not pay for the hotel reservation in Sa. pls do advice me. thank you.

Hi, pls I and my wife applied for US tourist visa few months ago and we were denied. We have travelling experience though, we've visited south Africa n uk together. We used hotel reservation for the us application claiming that we don't know anyone in the us. Now we want to reapply but with a close frnd inviting us for his wedding, hew ready to give us written invitation plus his utility bill but we will still book n hotel cos we don't intend staying in is house during the visit. (he just got his permanent resident card a month after our previous app) that was why we claimed we dunno anybody then cos he had not gotten a status then. 1 Pls can we go ahead with d application using is inivitation? 2 will it not look like we lied in the first application that we don't know anybody in US. Pls I need advice. Thanks.

@aaamorg did u do thre processing in lagos. Abeg were your documents returned that same day or were they collected from you.

I did mine in Abj and none of the documents were returned to me.

Thanks for the response. Can I reserve an hotel and pay when I get to South Africa? Also about the flight reservation,can I pay for it after I have obtained or sure of the visa?

You don't nee
d to pay any bribe to anyone but ensure your documents are complete .The following are vital ;bank statement,letter of introduction,yellow fever card ,hotel,passport photograph reservation,flight itinerary and evidence of employment in Nigeria .

You can check university of kwazulu natal, university of Pretoria, university of Joburg, Stellenbosch university and so on. There are lots of cheap schools in SA but quality of academic work should also be a crucial consideration. Hence, I will advise that you check out any of the schools listed above cos they are relatively cheap and equally good schools too.

On your second question, I will advise you to just present a legitimate bank statement to avoid having issues. All the best

If that's the case, I don't mind presenting a legit statement but Pls around what range should the account balance be and can I use someone else's account statement ? Thanks for your prompt response @Yinksob002

Pls house, you guys ; @Samtol4, @yinksob002 and all are really doing great job on here. I have two concerns and I need help .

1. I want to study Biz Admin and Mgt for my masters programme, I really want to know the list of cheaper institutions in SA offering this course.

2. I want to know to what extent does SA embassy verifies bank account statement.
