Great analysis. The arrogance coming from Atiku and Elrufai and a lot of northerners is pushing us towards southern solidarity, despite Tinubu being a thoroughly undesirable element. |
yarimo:Because Atiku does not do fair primaries |
AMINDA:Except it's Obi, ADC is DOA |
Streetinvestor2:Hahaha! You are a comedian |
olabrad:I wish I have an answer for you. Tinubu is a disgraced and failed president. |
sirchim:I quite understand. Tinubu is a disastrously FAILED president. |
WhizdomXX:You do only 1 term of 6 years Or you do 4 years, leave and the recontest after 4 years or more. In summary, you can not succeed yourself in power. |
Justnation:I am an Igbo man. The North is arrogant and should not be rewarded too soon |
10 reasons I can consider Tinubu in 2027. 1. Create a new state for the SE zone before June 2026 2. Release Nnamdi Kanu before June 2026 3. Pass a law in 2026 that clearly states that power will rotate among the 6 geopolitics zones, moving south-north and north-south until all zones are covered and then the process comes back full cycle 4. Pass a law in 2026 that limits the presidency to either a single 6-year term or a non successive 8-year term of 4 years each. The key here is that the president cannot succeed himself. 5. Pass a law in 2026 that mandates all electoral process to be digital and banning manual vote counting and transmission on election day. 6. Pass a law in 2026 that allows the INEC chairman to be appointed via election by all registered political parties, each having only 1 vote. 7. Provide 247 electricity in NG by June 2026 8. Raise the minimum taxable income to 2 million Naira per annum 9. Declare Sharia law illegal and enforce the declaration 10. Build 2 animal ranches in each state and hand them to the state governments, and thereafter ban cattle trafficking beyond the ranch borders. Can Tinubu deliver? Only 2026 will tell. |
I am an ardent fan of Obi. And I am also a strong supporter of North-South power rotation which I think should have been constitutionality by now. |
More than anything else, I stand for a southern president until 2031. A Fulani from the North could not be president for 8 years only for another Fulani, or any other northerner for that matter, to return to power after 4 years. That being said, I am not excited by the ADC "NOISE". If the ADC wanted to zone the presidency to the South it would have done so a long time ago. The PDP already did, but PDP is dead. Therefore, I can make some permutations for the 2027 national politics, as follows: 1. Atiku will NOT step down for Obi in the ADC primaries; he will buy the delegates with money and go on to "win". 2. Obi will realize that on time and defect to another party before the ADC primaries, taking his Obidients along. 3. Obi and Otti will regroup 4. Their new party will be ZLP 5. Obi will contest for the presidency in 2027 6. Both Obi and Atiku will be rigged out, again, by the APC. Taken together, this is not a prophecy nor a prediction. It is a comonsensical permutation. Epilogue: The North and Atiku must be denied the presidency in 2027 by all means. If not Obi, then, SADLY, it must be Tinubu. Notably, after that Atiku will FINALLY never be able to be president in NG. His perpetual political greed will come to a permanent end, and he will be remembered as a national political villain, worse than Buhari and Tinubu. He destroyed the PDP and will destroy the ADC. |

Ibrahim1985:Youruba is easily the most bigoted and tribalistic in Nigeria. The prevention of non Yoruba voters in Lagos in 2023 is a tiny example of that. |
CodeTemplarr:Story for the gods. Yoruba and tribalism/nepotism/bigotry are like 6 and half a dozen. |
Nigerian popular ethnic groups and their main flaws. I wish that we can take the highlighting of our flaws in good faith and work on them to improve ourselves. 1. Yoruba = unrivaled bigotry, nepotism and tribalism; lots of social ignorance; penchant to sit on the fence and lacking in ideological beliefs; deceptive and hypocritical. 2. Igbo = prone to emotional immaturity; inconsistent (sometimes mobbish, sometimes extremely self centered); inability to look inward and pivot accordingly; unnecessarily loud and boastful. 3. Hausa = close-minded naivety bothering on foolishness; inability to take critical decisions; group mental laziness and backwardness, extreme mob mentality. 4. Fulani = heartless, souless and murderous; unthinkingly conceited, scheming; given to extreme violence and unrivaled narrow mindedness, nepotic and hypocritical. 6. Kanuri = religious fanaticism, conniving and hypocritical. 7. Bini (Edo): shallow mindedness, not given to depth 8. Ijaw = quick to anger, impatience, vengeful. 9. All Nigerian groups = lovers of vanity; unwillingness to adapt and stick to a philosophy; doers of anything for the stomach; inability to reason with one another; general religious zealotry. Note: If your ethnic group is not mentioned specifically, don't rejoice. Yours share among the flaws of others, depending on geographic proximity. |
A little birdie just sang in my ears that presido Tinubu is muling the division of Nigeria into north and south, with the condition that he will be president of the south unopposed in 2027. Good or bad idea? Me: anything to pemanently japa from Fulani madness is considerable. Tinubu, please go for it. |
Putinofrussia:Yoruba are confused religionists that are unequally yoked among them. It's like evil and good dragging the same space. Now evil is winning in SW as Islamic terrorists, many of them Yorubas, are turning on their own people. Sharia is coming there, steadily. |
ElSudani:Yorubaland today is the least peaceful in the South. The South East is more peaceful today |
mascot87:Address thetopic. Thanks |
IbnB:I wasn't. But even when I am high I make more sense than 100 of you combined. |
The Yorubas pride themselves as a people who accommodate both Muslims and Christians in one unit, making them religious hybrids, arguably, the only ones on good old planet earth. But they ignore one salient point that when you are a hybrid, you lose certain original qualities from both parents. You can ask the breeders and geneticists in your realm to explain that to you. The hybrid nature of Yoruba religious inclination is why Tinubu is helpless today in tackling religion-motivated killings in Nigeria. It is also why 99% of the Christian pastors and adherents who deny or downplay Christian genocide by Muslims are Yorubas. You see, the North has taken a stand. The East and South South have taken a stand. It's easy for them because they are either "this" or "that", and not "this-that". The Yoruba are having a hard time taking a stand because they are "this-that" (hybrids). Again, hear ye me, hybrids come with certain new qualities but they forgo certain original, sometimes important, qualities. Hopeyougeritbutifyoudontgeritthenfogetaboutit. |

3am On Oct 29 Of Wole Soyinka and his visa Wole Soyinka once said he will tear up his US Green Card (GC) if Trump becomes president. Now, we hear about a permanent ban of his tourist visa, usually a B Category visa. To the best of my knowledge, you cannot have both US GC and tourist Visa at the same time. Did Soyinka lie in the past about holding a US Green Card at the time he threatened to tear it? He lives in Nigeria, and not in the US. The purpose of a GC is to enable you live permanently in the US, though not as a citizen. Did Soyinka really destroy his GC after Trump became president and then applied for a Visa that was later (recently) revoked? Or was his GC already revoked long time ago because he abandoned the US permanently to live in NG? Hence, he held only a tourist visa until lately. Soyinka, Soyinka, Soyinka, igba melo ni mo pe yin?😀😀😀 (How many times I have called you?). You cannot be lying to your children at your age.😀😀 The truth is likely that you didn't hold a GC at the time you threatened to destroy it because you already lost it by abandoning the US long time ago. The US likely revoked the visa which you resorted to obtaining after losing your GC because they found out you made a false claim about possessing a GC. |
