Car TalkBusiness Opportunities Through Used Car Auctions - Auto Auction Mall by aamadmin(op): 10:29am On Nov 14, 2018
The benefits of buying cars through used car auctions are many. Some of which includes affordability, access to hundreds of thousands of car via an online inventory and the ability to buy from the comfort of your home or office and so much more. That’s not all; another insightful benefit is the income earning opportunities that access to a used car inventory affords Nigerians.

Nigerians have always turned to buying second hand cars because of the high costs of the new vehicles and the economic situation. The indigenously manufactured band new cars are still not fully trusted and the cost of importing brand new cars is almost equivalent to the actual cost of the car. According to a report by Deloitte, only about 10% of Nigerians buy brand new cars. In a section of that same report titled; Navigating the African Automobile sector, Deloitte confirmed the rise of the importation of second hand cars stating that;

…in the absence of affordable finance solutions, secondhand vehicles remain the more attractive option for private vehicle buyers. According to a representative of a leading automotive company, second-hand passenger vehicles accounted for 80% of sales in 2014. The share of tokunbos in the commercial vehicle market is even larger, reaching up to 90% of the market according to a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer.
Source: Deloitte Africa Automotive Insights, 2015.

With this level of car importation in Nigeria, employment opportunities started evolving and others which existed before, started expanding. Some of the job and money making opportunities available to Nigerians as a result of used car online auctions include:

Car Dealership
This is one of the obvious money making opportunities that Auto Auction Mall affords Nigerians. With the ability to buy cars for a fraction of their retail prices, it becomes easier to bring the cars to Nigeria and resell them at a profit. The profit is even higher when you sell cars in inner cities like Abuja and Benin that are far from the coast or ports in Lagos. The opportunity to make a profit of up to 500k or more on every sale is real and this profit may rise depending on the market demand of the car.

Car dealers may not make a sale everyday but Nigerians have a taste for luxury including automobiles. Car dealership in Nigeria has also expanded to shipping and car maintenance as well. Some states in Nigeria like Lagos, Benin, Kaduna have major dealers that sell cars at retail costs.

Spare Parts Dealership
The spare parts dealership is a section of car dealership practiced as an independent sector in the Nigerian automotive industry. The business entails the sales and replacement of vehicle components at both retail and wholesale levels. As a result of the increasing rate of automobile purchase in Nigeria and the general road conditions, the need for spare parts rose and birthed the spare part dealership business.
The beauty of this business is that you can buy damaged or salvaged cars from Auto Auction Mall, ship them into Nigeria, strip it for parts and resell at very profitable prices. It might be a dirty job but a trip to Ladipo will show you how seriously this venture is taken and how much profit you stand to make from it. So long as there are cars and the rate of purchase keeps increasing, Nigerians and people in general, will always need spare parts.

Uber and Taxify.
Uber and Taxify are electronic transport companies that aid transportation in cities like Lagos and Abuja. For these companies to function, they need suitable cars. The cars used for these transportation services are mostly cars bought from auto auctions as you would agree that it is rare to find serial Uber or Taxify drivers going to buy brand new cars to use for this service. The access to cheap cars online has given lots of citizens the opportunity to register with the company and make some money for themselves.

Agent or Broker.
A car broker is a person who acts as the in between connecting the seller, Auto Auction Mall, and the buyer to find the right car, and negotiate the cost with the seller on behalf of the buyer. They stand in the buyer’s stead to ensure a smooth transaction and receive a commission for their job. You too can become a dealer or a broker and earn commissions on every referral who completes a purchase. You can also buy cars with great deals from Auto Auction Mall.

The economic situation in Nigeria may not be at its best now, but with a little capital, you can start to earn passive income for yourself with the direct access that Auto Auction Mall gives you to dealer only and private car auctions in the U.S.

Imagine toks 2005 Toyota Corolla for only 620k even if na stolen Corolla self
If you dont understand how this is possible, a good start would be to ask questions instead of making misguided comments. You can check reputable online car autions such as Auto Auction Mall, Copart and IAAI to confirm these prices. How much do you think local car dealers purchase these cars (COST OF CAR ALONE)? It is the shipping costs and Nigerian customs clearance fees that makes a lot of used cars expensive. The cost of the car itself is NOT! Many of your local dealers rake in as high as NGN500k to NGN1million and you don't know any better.

That you don't know how this is possible does not mean it doesn't exist! Do your research well, a lot of our customers are pocketing the dealer's profits buying through us and you may want to consider this.

Also you most certainly missed this, "However, it is important to note that these are just prices of the car and do not include domestic and ocean shipping or auction fees. Without wasting much time let’s get to it."

Affordability is a significant reason why www.autoaauctionmall.com is your best bet when it comes to purchasing used cars from U.S auctions. Accessibility to dealer only auctions and private car auctions is another crucial reason that can’t be overstated. Everyone is looking for the best deal right? So you might as well go directly to your local dealer’s source. Here are ten cars you can buy from Nigeria for less than NGN1million.

It is true that salvage cars are usually the cheapest at auctions because of the damages and dents that come with them. However, there are also clean titled cars that cost a whole lot less than your local dealer will ever sell. It depends on your preference, to be honest. If you don’t mind the faults dents or damages and can fix it, perfect for you.

There are clean titled cars that are functional, have little or no damage like scratches or dents, and are sold for prices below NGN1m. Of course, they’re not the Benzes and BMWs but nonetheless good cars like Hondas, Toyotas, and Kias to name a few.

However, it is important to note that these are just prices of the car and do not include domestic and ocean shipping or auction fees. Without wasting much time let’s get to it.

BMW X5 2003. (Price as low as NGN 432,000.)

Kaycee9242:
hey are not eligible for a driver’s license yet. This will allow you to drive on the roads. Also, your car will carry the popular red “L” letter tag to alert more experienced drivers that you are still learning. This alerts them to be cautious and drive a little more carefully around you. To use the learner’s permit, however, the law requires that you have a licensed driver/instructor in the vehicle with you at all times.

2. Engine Check and Change of Oil
Buying a used car requires due diligence and close attention to oil and fluid conditions and levels in the car. As an unspoken rule, it is safer for your pockets and your car engine to do a general oil and fluid change before you start using your car.
Regardless of what the car inspectors say or descriptions provided along with the car on Auto Auction Mall, it is essential that you double check that everything is right. Hire an auto mechanic to conduct a proper inspection of the engine. As for the oil, it’s hard to tell when it was last changed, if it’s terrible, or if it’s got any left. So for the sake of all the moving parts of the car, ensure that you change the engine oil.

3. Tyres

Tyres are the legs of your vehicle. However, those legs come with an expiry date. Tyres usually expire four years after the date of manufacture and failure to change your tyres after it expires, will put you at risk of having fatal accidents caused by a blow-out. This is why the FRSC continually emphasizes the need to check your tyres. It is possible that you have bought a new car whose tyres are just about to expire, for the sake of safety, check your tyres today.
The date of manufacture is usually on the body of the tyre and is easy to find. It is a four-digit number in which the first two signify the week in the year, and the last two signify the year. For instance, 1618 signifies the 16th week, (last week of April) in 2018. This means that the tyres will expire on the 16th week of 2022.
Please note that the numbers stand on their own and are not attached to any alphabets. It is imperative that this inspection is carried out, both for safety reasons and to avoid being harassed by the authorities.
The condition of use also determines how often your tyres should be changed to avoid costly and fatal incidents such as tyre blowouts. Since there is no way to verify this, a safer approach is to do a full change of your tyres. It might cost a buck but the confidence of driving on new tyres whose condition you can vouch for far outweighs the risk and dangers that come with the guessing game you’d have to play with tyres whose conditions you’re unsure of.

4. Bodywork and Repair
Depending on the level of damage, if you bought a salvaged vehicle, you will almost always need to fix it before you can start using it on the road. Buying salvage title cars is not always a bad experience as most Nigerians think, it ultimately depends on the purpose for which you need it.
In some cases, salvage title cars may be cars with just body dents, damages, or mechanical faults that the insurance and auction houses deem to costly to fix and as such are willing to accept a lower price. Salvage titled cars are also badly damaged cars that still have parts that can still be useful as spare parts.
You may be wondering why people would buy obviously damaged cars but they do have their benefits and depending on purpose can be invaluable. First, the most obvious reason is the overly affordable price. Cars that have some sort of damage or another are usually sold at a really low price and most times, are auctioned, just like it’s done at AAM.
Secondly, some of these cars aren’t really that bad, in fact, their engines are usually still intact. It just turns out the car might have been in a minor accident that damaged the body parts and the insurance company felt it would be better to sell it off and recover some money instead of spending some to fix it.

Final Steps
Whether new or used, most of the steps outlined above are essentials if you want to drive your car with no fines and run-ins with the authorities. What is common to all the steps above is that you do due diligence and avoid falling into the hands of fraudsters and fake artists. Go straight into their offices and where appropriate ensure you are speaking with someone behind a desk in a publicly recognized office.

It is also usually to have to part with a little more than your budget or that the official website of these licensing bodies says. Sad as it may be, it is the usual occurrence in Nigeria if you wish to drive your car with zero hassles. Buy used cars at a fraction of their retail price from Auto Auction Mall today.

Car TalkMaintaining Your Car: Five Key Things To Consider When Servicing Your Car by aamadmin(op): 11:39am On Nov 09, 2018
There’s hardly anything mechanical with moving parts that doesn’t require some sort of maintenance. From mobile phones to household appliances and laptops or gas cookers. Automobiles, more than anything else, need maintenance. Maintaining your car should be your priority.

Maintenance is popularly referred to as “servicing” in the Nigeria. Sadly, Nigerians are fond of stretching the maintenance schedule fartoo long, so much so that critical damages start to occur before they give it the required attention.

Before we go into the things you must check out during your maintenance routine, here are some of the typical car problems you might encounter.

Auto Conditions and Common Car Problems In Nigeria
There are quite a lot of car issues that can set you on a search for professional automobile intervention. The number can easily double if you’re Nigerian. This is in part due to the unfavourable roads, dare devil drivers, and individual driving style. Common problems any car owner will have to contend with regularly or at one time or the other while using their car includes;

- Mis-aligned wheels and flat tyres
- Electrical problems caused by previous owners of a second-hand car.
- Clutch burn outs.
- Wheel bearings and ball joint issues
- Steering rack issues
- Expired batteries.
- Corroded springs causing defection on starter motors.
- Fuel issues ranging from leaking busted pumps and bad injectors.
- Brake failure.
- Coolant leaks that might have been caused by a malfunction in the cylinder head gasket.
- Broken A/C condensers.
- Faulty window regulators.
- Overused spark plugs.

Maintenance Schedule Per Car
A maintenance schedule is a planned out list of maintenance actions to be carried out on a car at specified times.
Different cars based on their make, model and year of manufacture have different schedules for maintenance. However, there is a general and advisable way to determine when to service your car and it is by engine mileage.

For every 3,000 miles be sure to check the following;
- Automatic Transmission Fluid
- Power Steering Fluid
- Tire Inflation and Condition
- Engine Oil
- Battery
- Cables
- Exhaust
- Belts
- Engine Air Filter
- Hoses
- Dashboard Indicator Light On
- Lights
- Windshield Washer Fluid

In the next 6,000 -7,000 miles
- Oil and oil filter
- Transmission fluid level
- Coolant
- Windshield Washer Fluid
- Windshield washer wipers
- Power Steering Fluids
- All Exterior Lights
- Tyres.

For 9,000-12,000 miles

- Automatic Transmission Fluid
- Battery and Cables
- Belts
- Dashboard Indicator Light On
- Engine Air Filter and Engine Oil
- Exhaust
- Hoses
- All Lights
- Power Steering Fluid
- Tire Condition
- Windshield Washer Fluid

For 12,000-15,000 Miles
- Automatic Transmission Fluid
- Battery and Cables
- Belts and Brakes
- Cabin Air Filter
- Chassis Lubrication
- Dashboard Indicator Light On
- Antifreeze
- Power Steering Fluid
- Engine Air Filter and Engine Oil
- Exhaust
- Hoses
- All Exterior Lights
- Steering and Suspension
- Tire Condition
- Wheel Alignment
- Windshield Washer Fluid and Wiper Blades

Five Key Things To Consider When Servicing Your Car
Engine Oil:
This is one of the most basic maintenance routines. You don’t need to have auto repair knowledge to be able to check levels and see that the oil has changed colour. The oil in the car helps to ensure smooth movement of engine components and smoother rides. Bad oil will wear your engine parts faster causing friction and costly damages you’d want to avoid

Tyre Condition:
Tyres that aren’t correctly inflated stand the risk of blowouts that can lead to fatal accidents. In addition, the wrong tyre pressure as a result of over-inflation affects the efficiency of your car increasing fuel consumption. Ensure that your tyre has the right pressure especially when being pumped. When your car is due for a service ensure that your tyres are checked.

Wheel Alignment
If your wheel alignment is off, you would notice your steering wheel and the car will seem to work in opposite directions. Whether you have this issue or not, ensure that it is checked to avoid any future potentially fatal occurrences.

Wheel Balancing
Your wheel is out of balance when you move at certain speeds and feel your car vibrating. Usually, you’d also feel like the wheels are wobbly and feel like a particular side is heavier than the other. Your mechanic can solve this problem by placing the wheel on a balancing machine and most likely adding lead to the lacking side to balance it up. Driving feels better when your wheels are balanced.

Brakes
Waiting for your brake pads to damage before servicing them is a dangerous and potentially fatal decision. Brakes are the components that allow you to stop the car and prevent an accident. Without them functioning properly, you’d be at risk. So ensure that you check and replace them whenever you go for your routine servicing.

Advantages Of Monitoring and Maintaining Your Car
Ensures your safety
Whatever happens, your safety is more important than anything else including the cost of maintenance. Servicing your car regularly prevents component damage and allows you to enjoy smooth rides free of accidents.

Saves you money
It might seem like preventive maintenance is a lot more expensive. It’s not. It’s always cheaper to carry out preventive auto maintenances than maintaining to fix a problem. In fixing a problem other problems can arise and ultimately cost you more. Worst still, the problem might just refuse all solutions ultimately leading to costly replacement and overhaul.

Increases your car’s lifespan
Just like every other gadget and even the human body, lack of a maintenance culture will cause the car to deteriorate more rapidly than usual. Sticking to a regular maintenance schedule will also help to expand your car’s lifespan.

Increases resale price
Most Nigerians resell their cars when they want to buy a new one or just need a change. It will obviously be more difficult trying to sell a car with faults and where possible will be severely underpriced. Maintaining a good car servicing culture will make your car look really new even when its three years old and give you maximum value whenever you chose to sell off.

Consistently monitoring the state of your vehicle helps you notice when something is about to go wrong and allows you an opportunity to fix it before it completely breaks down. As mentioned earlier, failure to monitor your car and afford it proper maintenance will expose you to risks of accidents, damage of significant car components, and possible permanent irreversible damage.

Yes we do sell salvage cars, but also clear, clean, rebuilt, repossessed and original title cars.
One thing you should also know is that people and local dealers often prefer to buy salvage titled cars because of the low cost of the car and the low labour costs in Nigeria. Also, it helps them maximize their profit.
I guess that is why salvage car seems more popular

It's not compulsory to change fluid as most cars usually have the next service due date written on the screen. Some cars come with very new and good tyres too.
You are 100% right and sometimes you get lucky.. nobody wants to spend unecessary money.... BUT

Would you rather risk an engine problem or a blow out on probability and a maintenance job that you personally can't vouch for and have only a document to show for it or just be safe than sorry, take precautions, change them out and be 100% personally sure of the condition of your car?

If you buy a car like the BMW 7 series (750li to be specific) 2005 upwards that is expensive to maintain with scarce parts you won't need to be told twice.

Based on your experience maybe, but often times this is not true. So long as you're not buying from shady sources, you should have no issues. The U.S auto industry for example is highly made up of used car transactions.
Ultimately it is up to your financial strength. If you can afford it, if not a used car from a certified source is your best bet.

THis might be so for Auction export but not for Auto Auction mall. On cars bought you save as much as 500k to 800k. YES buying from auctions is a lengthy process but at least the local dealer's profit remains in your pocket and you're not getting sold a salvage or flooded car with electrical problems passed off as a good used car. Plus there's no odomoter fraud (You buy a 2005 corolla and see 30k mileage and you think you got a good deal grin) or any such thing thanks to U.S. auto industry regulations

Your agent has just helped you clear your car from Tin Can and you’re driving home. Being your first car, you’ve had many friends talk to you about the next steps as per registration and documentation.

Apparently, you can’t just buy a car and start driving the next day. Unless of course, you’re willing to declare happy hour at the LASTMA or FRSC office. So what are the next steps after clearing?

1. Documentation
After clearing and before you drive on Nigerian roads, there are a few key steps that must be taken. The absolute first step is documentation. Filing the proper paperwork ensures you don’t find yourself on the wrong side of the authorities. There are at least six documents you must have before you can start cruising your newly purchased car.

- Driver’s License
This certifies that you are competent to drive on Nigerian roads. It also carries vital identification information about you for a variety of purposes. You’d have to undergo a driving test to get this and pay the necessary fees at the closest FRSC office. This process can take as little as two weeks to as long as three months. It is vital you go to the proper sources to procure your license so you avoid scams. Fake licenses would ultimately put you in trouble with the authorities. Don’t be discouraged by the long processing time as you would be issued a temporary license during the waiting period.
- Vehicle License
Getting your vehicle registered is another crucial step that must be done as soon as your vehicle is cleared… that is of course if you wish to start driving. You can get this by applying for it on the FRSC website or approaching the state licensing offices usually around or in the state government secretariats. As with your driver’s license, be careful as there are frauds that are on the ready to swindle unsuspecting people.
- Certificate of Roadworthiness
Many car owners, either forget to process this paperwork or ignore it completely… until they end up paying heavy FRSC fines that is.
This document certifies that your vehicle is safe to be driven on the Nigerian roads. For commercial vehicles, renewal is required every six months. For older vehicles, renewal is only required once in a year.
- Car Insurance
Auto insurance or insurance certificate is a document that guarantees that the vehicle has financial protection for any physical damage. This insurance covers cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The insurance is granted by the National Insurance Commission. As with other documentation, avoid fake, improperly filed auto insurance documentation. The road authorities in recent times have clamped down heavily on fake insurance paperwork holders. Not to worry though, there are publicly accessible e-avenues for the average Nigerian car owner to verify this. Visit Nigerian Insurance Industry Database Portal to verify yours.
- Proof of Ownership
This is another important document that must not be left out. It is issued by the Vehicle Inspection Office.
- Learner’s Permit
These are for prospective and current car owners who are just learning how to drive. They are not eligible for a driver’s license yet.

AutosHow To Buy A Used Car Safely: What The Experts Say by aamadmin(op): 11:57am On Nov 08, 2018
Buying a car is a thrilling experience almost all of us go through in our lives. However, the buying journey can get to be a lot more complicated than expected. Even if you have already decided on the car you want and have enough money to buy it brand new from a dealer, there are tons of things to keep in mind when you buy a used car.

The list of things you need to be careful about grows exponentially when you have a limited budget. This leaves no other options besides buying a used vehicle. Whether you are buying your first car as a teenager, a car to drive daily or even a working vehicle for the long run, there is plenty of things to consider.

One of the best reasons for buying a used car is that the upfront cost is going to be significantly lower. This is true even if the vehicle is just a couple of years old, since most cars lose around 40% of their value in the first year of use. Although that may sound encouraging, don’t think it is going to be easy or fast, because it won’t.

Choosing the Right Car
First, you should buy a used car that fits your needs and suits the use you intend to give it. Make sure it is in your budget range so you can afford it. The best way is to do some online and car-magazine research. This will give you an idea of prices for different models and segments. Remember that you also have to consider running costs. While cars with bigger engines tend to be cheaper, the running costs are higher. This makes them more expensive to drive and maintain over time.

Finding the Right Seller
The next step is choosing who to buy from. For example, buying from a used-car dealer will be a bit more expensive. But it might be worth it, since it gives you the peace of mind of knowing that the car has been inspected in full. You will be sure it works fine and won’t stop running a couple of miles after buying it. That is because dealers usually offer the car with a warranty and have to comply with the Sale of Goods Act. So, if the car has any trouble in the short run, you are covered. However, as mentioned before, it might be pricier, and the bigger the dealer, the higher the costs will go.

You could also buy a used car privately or online. In both cases you will have to look for things like ownership history, paperwork, prior tickets or costs hanging over the car. You should also look at the car’s general condition. Remember that when private sellers want to sell a car, they are not always 100% trustworthy or sincere.

They could be offering a car that is just miles away from having some serious issues, or even one that already has some issues that they manage to cover up for the first miles. That is why you should thoroughly check some particular aspects like tires, electrics, dents and scratches, glass, panel gaps, upholstery, fluid levels, wheel accessories, what you find under the oil cap, and the wear and tear.

Buying at a Car Auction
Another option is to buy a used car at an auction. In this case, you should do some homework beforehand. Get to the auction early, take a nice browsing tour around all the vehicles for sale and make a list of which models you are interested in. It would definitely be better if you already have a general idea of the price of that particular model at dealers and online sites. Always ask about the auction fees beforehand and set a budget you know you will respect.

If you’re at an in-person public auction, once the car is in the hall, listen to the engine for any signs of trouble. This will help you avoid nasty surprises once the purchase is made. Then, the last and most difficult part of the deal: bid firmly but hold your nerve and don’t rush it. Otherwise you will end up with a price out of your budget, and you will lose your chance.

Do Your Due Diligence

In each and every case, consider financial aspects like state fees, documentation fees. Take into account the costs for all the paperwork to stay within your budget. You should also always ask to test drive the car, if possible. This will give you a pretty good idea of what the car’s general state is and how it runs. And, if you have the possibility, the best thing to do is take the vehicle to your local mechanic in order to have it checked by a professional. That opinion is invaluable. It will give you either convince you to buy the vehicle, or a good reason for cancelling the purchase and look for a car somewhere else.

Last but not least, always pay attention to your gut, how you feel both about the car and the seller. If you detect anxiety or a rush to close the deal, stay calm and drive the negotiation at your own pace. Your social skills will prove worthy in a situation where the seller’s body language or way of speaking about the car set off your alarms and tell you something odd is going on. If you are not 100% sure about the transaction, just turn around and get out of there. A new opportunity will come to you, hopefully, a better one.

Of course, we also need to discuss online auctions, like ours.

Buying Cars from Online Auto Auctions
You should know there are two kinds of auctions, public and dealer-exclusive. As the name describes, the first ones are open to the public. However, they offer all kinds of cars, in all conditions. The second kind of auction offers a lot more cars, usually at lower prices. However, these auctions ask for a dealer license to participate.

One convenient way of buying at an auction is online auction sites, which can also be open or dealer-exclusive, But there is a workaround in this case, which are sites like Auto Auction Mall, which offer a list of cars for sale to the public from dealer-only auctions. It is like bidding on an eBay auction for example, but with a car. Always look for reputable auction houses to do this. When you do this, as you cannot inspect the car itself, it is even more important to research the history of the car through a service like CarFax.

AutosRe: Buying U.S Auction Cars From Nigeria: How Can I Be Sure Of What I’m Buying? by aamadmin(op): 12:09pm On Nov 06, 2018

when can we stop this autioning and after used cars in our country pls
It's actually not abnormal or peculiar to Nigeria only. It happens all over the world, very well in the US, and is the norm. As we have used car dealers, we also have brand new car dealers. At the end of the day, it is up to you and what you'd prefer.

But there's absolutely nothing wrong with buying a used car especially if you've got other cash intensive projects. For example, building a house, paying your kid's fees.

So you want to buy a car and are considering U.S auctions but not sure… read through thus guide for help you.

The possibility of saving hundreds of thousands or even millions is making Nigerian car lovers shifting to online and U.S. based auctions to source their cars. Shady dealers who may sell you a flooded car with electrical issues are also not helping and you would be lucky if you don’t end up buying a stolen car with Fake VIN all to maximise their profit.

You are not alone in option for U.S auction cars as many Nigerians are rapidly developing a preference for buying directly from US auto auction sites from Nigeria.

But before you start buying, bidding or attending live online auctions, how can you be sure of the condition of the car you are about to pay for? What assurance do you have about the condition of the car?

How Can I Be Sure of What I’m Buying?
The car inventory of most online auction platforms comes with as much information about the status of the car, mileage, and condition. There are also pictures to provide as many views of the car including the interior and the engine compartments. To provide an extra level of detail, cars in the online inventory as with other auction sites come with titles such as clean, clear and salvage to provide some information about the general condition of the car.

I Don’t Know The Statuses You’re Talking About?
With online and offline auctions, you have the option of buying either clean, salvaged or rebuilt cars. Clean cars are used cars with little or no damage. If damaged, there are usually minor dents and scratches. Salvaged cars, on the other hand, are cars that have been in an accident and have incurred some significant level of damages that though are repairable, the insurance auction or company has deemed it too expensive to fix. However, it is important to note that auction cars are sold on an “as is, where is” condition with no guarantees.

However, this does not apply to Nigeria because the cost of labour and parts is significantly lower than in the US. Rebuilt cars are cars that have had their damages fixed. The thing is, if you’re buying a salvaged vehicle, then there’s the possibility that your car will be in either of these conditions:

1. Vehicle Starts
When the status of the car you want to buy states “Vehicle Starts”, it means that as at the time of arrival of the vehicle to the auction company, the vehicle started with or without a jump and was able to run on idle.

2. Starts and Moves
This means that when the vehicle arrived at the clearing house it could start with or without a jump, it could be put into gear and could move forward under its own power.

3. Doesn’t start at all
This means that the car did not start as at the time it was brought to the auction lot.

If you are still skeptical, you have the option to go further and make use of car inspection services.

Car Inspection and Inspection Opportunities.
The auto auction companies can only give you so much information about the said vehicle. As an extra layer of certainty, you may carry out an independent inspection of the vehicle before going through with the auction. To do this, you will either have to personally inspect the car, ask a friend to, or hire a car inspection company to carry out the inspection.

Pros and Cons of Inspection by Family or Friends.
Pros
First of all, they are closer and will be there in time for inspection before the auction is completed.
Your family members or friends will be utterly honest about the status of the vehicle
Since they’re there, a physical inspection will be carried out on zero cost.
Cons
Your friend or brother might not know enough about cars to revert on the actual status of the car.

Pros and Cons of Inspection By A Car Inspection Company.
Pros
You get a professional auto mechanic from the car inspection company to advise you.
You’d be given a comprehensive report on all parts and components of the vehicle that was checked.
Some companies extend their services to purchasing and shipping.
Cons
It comes at a cost.

A simple google search will bring really great suggestions of car Inspection services You Might Want To Try. Having someone in the US to carry out your car inspection is okay, but hiring a car inspection company is safer. IThere are also countless other inspection services that may cost more or less depending on the level of inspection they propose to carry out. A simple Google search will bring them up. Whichever option you settle for, these car inspection services are the final and most trusted way to get final assurance about your prospective car purchase if the conditions and images provided on Auto Auction Mall car inventory doesn’t cut it for you.
