Yes, that’s the same problem I am talking about here. Adeola was born in Alimosho like other igbos, Hausas and other Yoruba tribes and he represented Lagos his birth state at the federal state many times and have now chosen to go to his original lineage and ancestry state to contest governor after reaping political fruits of another man’s land. Lagos is not a no man’s land as it has its own unique features and cultures you don’t find anywhere n any other state in Nigeria from masquerade to names they bear etc if any Yoruba person tells me their name is Taiwo Rodriguez or Tunde Micheals or Olusegun Coker etc automatically I know already that 9 out of 10 they are from Lagos State. Everybody who cannot trace their lineage and ancestry to Amy family in Lagos is not from Lagos state. Lagos is not a no man’s land

You cannot go to Oyo state from oshun or from Anambra to Enugu or from cross river to Delta and and meddle in their politics not to talk of becoming governor so why would such apply to only Lagos state and that what the indigenes are complaining about for everybody to go back to their state and become whatever they want to become there

Yes anybody that cannot trace their lineage or family history to original Lagos families must shift and allow the indigenes of Isale Eko to enjoy their land like other people in other states like ekiti , oshun, edo , anambra, Imo etc

Anyway, to the point you made, clearly the people of Yorubaland are not as fixated on states or towns as we have seen Ndigbo aggressively are.

Bear in mind the same Awori that are rising up now over that Igbo HOR character will not do so if it was a Yoruba person from elsewhere and the list was full of Yoruba people from elsewhere.

First off, they won't know based on names and secondly, a Yoruba HOR person will not be that silly and blatant. That might be why Yorùbá's from all over Yorubaland live in harmony with each other especially in Lagos.

Why does Yoruba oneness only apply in sharing Lagos state( former federal capital with a lot of resources invested by FG over the years and development from people from every part of the country) resources if you guys are sincere? Why doesn’t the same apply to other non fortunate states like Oyo, oshun , Ondo, ekiti…? Would a man from ekiti leave his state and do the kind of ursupation we see in Lagos today in oyo or Ondo etc?

You are wrong, other tribes people left their own region and went to Western region so there is a huge difference.

People from Osun for example that were in Western region have a right to attain office in Oshodi-Isọlọ which was in their region and which was never part of any Federal capital.

Awolowo's government spent money on their region, a lot actually to develop places like Oshodi-Isọlọ, that money was not returned to the region or the state governments that made up that former region so their people have an inalienable right to stay put unlike others.

Oshodi-Isọlọ was firmly in Western Region, not even on the border sef. It also was never part of any Federal capital so your argumentd are superfluous.

The dumbest set of people in Nigeria today are the current members of the National Assembly that passed the Electoral Act 2026. Those people are incredibly foolish. I read how they made it impossible for even themselves to move to another party upon failing to get ticket at the primaries of their party and knew that these people were either hypnotized into passing that law or were too dumb to understand the implications of what they passed. Before now, there was nothing like if your name is not on the register of a particular party submitted to INEC, you cannot vie for primaries in the party. It made it easy for them to loose primaries in party A and move to party B the next day and get ticket to contest and win. Today, with the new Electoral Act, Every party must submit membership register to INEC not less than 21 days before primaries and if your name is not in the register submitted to INEC you cannot be nominated by the party. The implications is simple, once INEC receives your party's membership register before the primaries, it is over for you. Whoever the Governor gives ticket through consensus is binding on you and you cannot disagree and go to another party to clinch the ticket because your name could not have been in the other party's membership register. They enslaved themselves.

That means most of the rivers state senators and reps are not coming back
