olabode89: Super cool and interesting!
It focuses on sales and sourcing in a business to business context. The program is super stressful though.
I don't know any one in LUT Okay. Thank you very much. |

olabode89: Great.... I am studying same course at TUT. If you get Aalto's admission that should be your number 1 choice. Hope say u get first class o or else make u forget Aalto o. IEM at Aalto is extremely competitive. In case you think say the first class thing no serious see an email i got from Aalto last year;
Kekko Karoliina <karoliina.kekko@aalto.fi> 4/8/15
to me Dear XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, Thank you for your e-mail. Please find below further information on the selection decision made. The reason for rejection used in your case, “The academic performance of the applicant does not meet the programme requirements” meant that despite being eligible and fulfilling the general eligibility requirements of the programme, your previous study success (gpa 4,35 from Obafemi Awolowo University) was not sufficient for selection. As stated in the programme-specific evaluation criteria (http://www.aalto.fi/en/studies/education/programme/industrial_engineering_management_master/#admission_requirements), the programme is looking for students who have achieved consistently the best grades throughout the degree studies (very high weighted average grade or GPA). Unfortunately, your previous study success did not fulfill this requirement as a gpa of at least 4,5 would have been required in order to proceed to the 2nd phase of the selection process. I hope this clarifies the selection decision made. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors! With kind regards, Karoliina Kekko ********************************************* Karoliina Kekko (Ms) Planning Officer, Master Student Recruitment and Admissions Aalto University School of Science (Aalto SCI) Konemiehentie 2, room A218, Espoo P.O. Box 15400, FI-00076 AALTO, Finland I didn't know getting into the programme is very competitive until I saw the admission results from last year! It has the fourth highest number of applicants... I was so shocked. Well it's all in the hands of God now! Wow! Even with your high gpa. It's great you are in TUT. How's the course like? And do you know anything about LUT? It seems good as well. |

olabode89: Job prospects are quite bleak at the moment as it is in other parts of Europe. Guys with strong IT and programming skills have the best opportunity of getting a job at the moment. The best bet for other guys like myself are through Master thesis positions at Companies (quite difficult to get too) and also multinationals such as Kone, Nokia, Kalmar, Metso, Neste, Vaisala, Wartsila, Microsoft etc. as they do not require working knowledge of the Finnish language. Igboro no dey smile o, even them Finns are not finding it easy. I am currently searching for summer jobs in the summer, I don apply to 10 companies and i think say i dey super proactive. I spoke with a Finnish classmate and he told me that he has applied to about 25 places, so you see say no be play play matter. O Lord! Hustling! How about pursuing a phD? Is that equally competitive?! |

Day by day...it's getting closer to admission results day! I'm staying positive but I am slightly worried about the job opportunities available after studies. Can anyone shed light on this issue?
When should we be expecting to hear back from them with regards to the interview? (some courses stated that they conduct interview for students that pass the preliminary stage)
I wish everyone all the best! Xx |

Decker: Look bro, first things first. I'll advise that you don't relent in your hard work and search for a job, but you shouldn't make the mistake of doing all this with the mindset of winning your girl back. To be honest with you, the girl made her decision and she chose someone else, someone more financially capable over you, despite the long way you the both of you had come. It's kind of sad, I know, but it's her choice and she has her reasons. She has told you she has moved on and I think you should too. Things like this happen at some point in our lives and when this kind of things happen, the best thing to do is to just wipe the dust of pain and regret off of you and move on with your life. That girl betrayed your love and friendship, all on the altar of having a better life. That tells a lot about her character and what exactly it is she wants from life. Even if you do win her back, which is highly improbable, what's your guarantee that she won't leave you for someone else in future when the going beings to get tough?
The thing about love is that it makes you think that person you are in love with is the best person out there, but that's not true. You might think that no one can be as pretty and fun and smart and all those good qualities you admire in her, all in one, but there are actually other girls like that out there, better girls. And out of them, there is one for you. But in other for you to see them, you first have to remove the scales of supposed love from your eyes. So, stop crying like a baby and get this girl off your mind, free yourself from all the negativity and keep looking for a job and I know you will find one. And when you do find one, work hard to be established in it, and along the line, you will find the right girl who really deserves you. You have said it all! |

Don't be fooled! The west don't want our progress and they have started making a mockery of our new president and his wife!
Are you telling me that she already spent out money to buy watch or I don't understand the big deal. This is where you will find BBC- biased and picking up stupid stories like this but when good things happen in Nigeria they will be mute. |
Islam › Re: Is It Ok For A Muslim To Look For Only Virgin to Marry? by Abbies: 2:09am On Jun 04, 2015 |
AsSalaam Alaikum,
I think you have just mistepreted a few things and you also have a typical nigerian boy mentality.
First of all, you need to pray to Allah SWT to grant you a righteous wife that will be beneficial to you in this life and the hereafter. Second, what if she is no longer a virgin because she was raped or a hymen broke by doing sports etc. Third, a good woman who has sought for Allahs forgiveness and has not gone back to her old ways - ie sleeping around and how do you know Allah hasn't forgiven her. She might even have a better character than a Virgin.
So i will urge you to keep praying profusely to Allah and whatever woman he sends your way you should be able to know. Because this your mentality might cloud your judgement.
May Allah forgive us all our sins and May He forgive me if I have said anything wrong.
salaam |
