Please I need advice/ anyone’s experience with the 48hours or 96hours UAE visa. Do I need an agent or emirates airline can issue the visa? Thanks. |

babyfaiz: You are welcome, great to hear about the visa alerts and hoping for a positive outcome on the refusal whenever she reapplies. |

babyfaiz: Yeah, the first update gives a lot of relief when you think of the time and cost, I am quite hopeful that your family will get the visas. Lol, the kids are definitely 100% more excited about the holiday. So sorry about the refusal… is she officially adopted? The immigration laws ought to take that into consideration. I am sure someone on this thread will have an advice/share experience on how to deal with it. |

babyfaiz: Yayyyy, good news. I have been waiting for your update on the collection mail. It means that our projection last week was right. |

MJ01: Good morning, I have no idea, maybe another person on this thread can help. I only saw the price on wakanow’s Instagram page, please contact them. 1 Like |

nwaogukings03: Lol, I don’t know. Maybe a couple of hours, but definitely not 6months (You are unlikely to even get 6months on the Schengen visit visa as a first timer). |

Oloweh: Yeah, you need a transit visa now(since brexit). I saw wakanow advertising for 39, 525, you can check it. |

Blumokinney: Please check the first mail you received from UKVI when you applied, the mail has the link to track your application. 1 Like |

CarrilT: My biometrics was on May 5th, Lagos VI VAC. I just picked 3 passports up with visas, still waiting for one. Yours is on the way too by God’s Grace. |

askari01:Good evening, I think you could have been more sensitive in your response, the poster is clearly hurt/ annoyed due to the refusal. Also, It’s possible to work in an organization where your emoluments are paid in tranches, and that was his explanation (a job and his personal business), it doesn’t mean that he was trying to boost his account. I will suggest that the consulting firm should have its own bank account, for a clearer picture of the poster’s income. It will also help decision making because he can decide to use only the salary account for subsequent visa application. 1 Like |

babyfaiz: You are welcome, your posts also kept me sane during the long wait(still waiting for one more). My last application was in 2019 (short term study visa), the visa expired in 2020. I think they are struggling with the huge number of applications. Hopefully, yours will be out next week, nairaland also opened my eyes to the mistakes I made, my deposits were not explained too (mostly salary but different narration besides monthly). |

Biometrics: May 5th VAC: Lagos VI 2 paid mails: June 10, June 17 (being considered, awaiting decision) ‘Family Visa’: 3 ‘renewals’ and one fresh application Collection mails: June 24th (for 3 ‘renewals’, fresh application is yet to move on the tracker) Yet to pick our passports. Thought to share my experience to encourage those that are yet to get any update on their applications especially for families. I am new on Nairaland, the experience sharing on the posts here kept me sane, I was always looking for people who had similar experiences with me, I had some peace when I found Babyfaiz and Primetouch’s posts. I have never experienced this long wait before, it was tiring. Also, I made so many avoidable mistakes (worsened my anxiety) that Nairaland could have saved me from: 1. Ikeja is a better alternative, VI came with extra cost 2. Self- upload of documents(first time): I didn’t attach any copy of our previous travel history. I have 20 years of UK travel from my teenage years (6 months, 2 yrs, 5yrs, study, post study, 5 yrs, short term study) 3. No letter from my employer 4. No cover letter Also, I learnt from Nairaland that each new application is treated as a fresh one, so one must do due diligence every time. Thank you everyone for always sharing, this place is a goldmine of free information. 3 Likes |
