Where is the competitive advantage here? The prices are very similar to their foreign competitions who currently hold a brand loyalty advantage over them.

The ONLY strategic advantage is for them to lower their prices to encourage local/indigenous market, focus on revenue rather than profits and enjoy an inevitable long-term economies of scale.

IMHO, the prices are too high for the average Nigerian living standard.

All in all, great move by Innoson!

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, the Nigeria’s indigenous first Made-in-Nigeria vehicles, today, Monday, the 11th day of December 2017, unveiled its new brands of SUVs. They include Innoson IVM G80, Innoson IVM G40, MPV, Innoson IVM G20 and 4×4 Pick UP-Innoson IVM Granite, all manufactured at Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Plant.

The historic event took place at Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Co Ltd, No. 2 Innoson Ind. Estate, Akwu-Uru, Uru Umudim Nnewi.

Dignataries at the event include the Olowu of Iwo Land In Osun State, A First Class Paramount Ruler, Oba (Dr) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Emperor Telu 1, Captains of industries and Federal & state government delegations.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday paid their last respects to Late Engr Lazarus Iwari Kalama-Sokobe, the elder brother of Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.

The burial of Late Engr Kalama-Sokobe which took place at Okrika attracted both serving and former top government officials from across the country.

In a funeral oration, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said the loss of a loved one is painful.

He said: "We never expected our late father to depart now. He lived a good life. The people around him indicate he lived a good life.

"We can only be remembered by our legacies. I urge those that he left behind to sustain his legacies by continuing with his positive traits."

Governor Wike prayed God to continue to prayed God to bless the family and give them the strength to bear the irreparable loss.



"May you be consoled by the fact that Papa was a good man with a big heart who lived a quite eventful and fulfilled life. We will miss him for his good deeds, generous spirit and exemplary life of service to God and humanity ", Governor Wike said.

Also speaking, Former President Goodluck Jonathan described Late Engr Lazarus Iwari Kalama-Sokobe as a faithful brother-in-law who acted as a father to his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan.

He said he enjoyed a fruitful relationship with the Late Elder Statesman, adding that the family will miss his love and loyalty.

Capital Oil boss, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday joined Gov. Willie Obiano who received his Certificate of Return at INEC State Headquarters Awka, Anambra state.

Recall that INEC declared Willie Obiano of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) as the winner of the election.

Zana Akpagu, the returning officer, said Obiano polled 234, 071 votes to defeat his closest rival, Tony Nwoye of All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 98, 752 votes.

Also receiving her certificate of return was Hon. Mrs Nkoli Mmegbuanaze for Idemili North State Constituency.

Popular philanthropist and founder Adadioramma foundation, Chief Dr. Mrs Nkoli Imoh (Adadioramma) has empowered over five thousand widows across Anambra state.

The program which took place on Wednesday in Ukpor, Nnewi South area of the state was flagged off to effect the lives of over 5000 widows and women across the state in her over hundred million naira empowerment fund.

This foundation had previously given out more than 100 cars and buses to different individuals across the state.

The foundation was founded in the year 2000.

The Anambra state First Lady, Mrs Ebele Obiano who was a guest at the event was overwhelmed by what she saw and enjoined other wealthy Anambra people to emulate Chief Dr. Mrs Nkoli Imoh.

A Skye Bank branch in Ifon, the headquarters of Ose local government area of Ondo state was on Thursday, robbed by a gang of armed robbers, who carted away an undisclosed huge amount of money and killing three policemen on the process.

The robbers were said to have stormed the bank premises around 3 pm, shooting sporadically to create a panic atmosphere.

The incident put a halt to social and commercial activities in the town for several minutes as residents living close to the bank ran helter-skelter to safety, while the robbery operation reportedly lasted for about 40 minutes

The robbers were said to have blown up the bullet-proof door of the bank with a substance suspected to be dynamite before gaining entrance.

The names of the three policemen killed by the robbers are: Inspector Jimoh Adeniyi, Sergeant Alex Samson and Sergeant Dara oluwole.

Meanwhile, a nurse working with Adelabu Hospital was injured and rushed to Federal Medical Center, Owo.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident and said the command deployed more officers and men in the scene while another team, led by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju, went to the area after receiving the information.

The official bus conveying players of FC Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club was on Friday involved in a car crash along Benin/Ore expressway.

The players were heading to Ijebu Ode for Sunday's match with Sunshine stars
No deaths were recorded but four people seriously injured were taken to the hospital. Others are in a stable condition.

Reactions have been trailing the recent report by president Buhari's spokesman, Garba Shehu who revealed that the number one citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria was forced to abandoned his office at Aso villa due to rodents.

Shehu was quoted to have said, “following the three months period of disuse, rodents have caused a lot of damage to the furniture and the air conditioning units.”

Buhari has since been working from "home" instead of the "presidential office"
