Pierocash:
Mr Lai Mohammed, nobody is justifying the killing of security agents, but however, there is what is called "causality" in philosophy, that is "cause and effect".

You can't thread the den of a lion and not expect some consequence. The murder of security agents, looting ,and vandalism that took place was an aftermath and reprisal attack after the toll gate shooting of innocent protesters.

The protest was peaceful until you and your likes started sponsoring thugs to kill and attack protesters, the final stroke that broke the Carmel's back was the lekki shooting.

For every action, there is equal and opposite reaction
This has always been my submission...
You don't expect me to keep silent wen u killed my brother...
The government caused d violence.
The protest was peaceful until that night...

What happened showed us that wen we are ready to take this country from them, they will run away.

Where were all the politicians wen dy violence began? Where were the policemen too?
They will kill but how many will they kill before we overpower them?

The Federal Government has described the decision by Oyo State government to reopen schools from June 29, 2020 as insensitive.

The government said that this could increase the number of COVID-19 infections in the state.

Minister of State for Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, stated this during the briefing by the Presidential Task Force on covid -19 on Monday.

Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde had reeled out plans to reopen schools, worship centres and others against the federal government’s directive on closure of schools.

The minister said the Federal Ministry of Education did not give out any guideline to the state government to reopen schools.

Nwajiuba noted that the primary responsibility of state governors is to secure the lives of their citizens including in the face of a pandemic.

He added that like all other sub-nationals, governors were under the constitution of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

While stressing that government could not afford to reopen schools at this time, the minister noted that reopening of schools could lead to the exposure of teachers, the students, drivers, cooks, vendors and their family and friends to the dreaded virus.

Nwajiuba said: “Out of the 774 local government areas in Nigeria, there are actually few local governments with a lot of this burden and therefore it is easy to get the perception around the edges of the country that some things are not happening because they are not happening within our immediate locality.

“But we must appreciate that the primary purpose of governors is the security of his citizens. Public health is key and primary and in that primary security delivery, they (Governors), are always extremely cautious in making any pronouncements around this because the education sector holds the largest number of infrastructure in the country; a good 138,000 primary schools around the country.

“There are clearly 600 all kinds of institutions awarding certificates all around Nigeria there are just lots of it. And at any given time in Nigeria, there are 2 million people attaining one form of education or the other.

“For you to even begin to decide to unleash this in the public in the face of a pandemic is to be a very bit insensitive.

“The least we can do at the moment is to keep our children, our most priced assets, the future of Nigeria under lock and key first. When we are sure that it is safe to release them, gladly we will.”

The minister also said the ministry was in discussion with examination bodies on how final year students could sit for their exams.

He said similar meeting was held in the Gambia on Monday to decide the fate of students waiting to write the West African Examination Council (WAEC)

The minister also said the students would be expected to reconvene for a revision session ahead of the final decisions on WAEC.

“We have finished meeting with WAEC; they are communicating in Gambia at the moment. When we get feedback from them we are struggling to see how we can bring the exit year children briefly to come to a revision session ahead if whatever these assembles have agreed.

“Parents should be rest assured that we will do this with utmost care and only in places where we can be able to institutionalise and be able to use the facilities to be able to help these children.”

On the outcry by parents on payment of school fees in private schools, the minister appealed to school proprietors to desist from doing so.

He urged them to approach the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for salary support loans to be able to pay teachers.

According to him, most parents were already stressed from spending more on feeding and struggling to balance work with attending to their children at home and as such, were not willing to pay for physical classes that were not holding.

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by ABDamola(m): 10:31am On Jun 18, 2020
niyogeol:
From your brief, it doesn't seem like you understand the Express Entry process.

1) Getting married before or after applying is a non issue. What matters most is for you both to have a competitive CRS point that would fetch ITA.

That said, with your MSc, if you can max out IELTS, have at least 3 years of work experience in NOC 0, A or B, and not more than 30 years old, I have no doubt that you will stand a great chance of a high CRS point that would fetch you ITA asap.

So beyond writing IELTS and doing credentials evaluation, play around with the CRS calculator to know who can be the principal applicant between you and your fiancee. Depending on who is younger. Age is a big factor in this journey. For IELTS, simulate with LRWS - 8, 7, 7, 7. Note that it is desirable if you can score higher than this in IELTS. Your spouse should also write IELTS and evaluate her OND and HND. She should also aim to score minimum of 8, 7, 7, 7 in her IELTS. Her evaluation will count as two or more certificates. So it is a plus. And for you, only evaluate your MSc degree.

2) If you choose to apply as a couple, marriage certificate is one of the documents you are required to provide.

I hope this helps. Cheers.
Bro, Thank you for response. Your first paragraph got me. I dont understand the express entry process.
I am 31years. And I have 5years work experience.
I simulated on the CRS with the minimum score as you said and the score was 480.
Is this okay?

Please house,

Though I am not married but I have a fiancee which we are both at the final stage of crossing to marriage. I know if i apply as a single and the PR is successful, that means she will be in Nigeria and I will be in Canada.

I want her to do her international passport in my name and she is also willing to do it. Also, l want to apply as a married man.

I have Bsc, ICAN, Msc and she has ND/HND.

My question:
1. If i apply as planned, will there be any consequence?

2. Is it that marriage certificate will be one of the requirements?

Thank you all.
