It is a secular federation that allows each state some level of legal independence...

That is the balance of our system.....unity (as in one nigeria) but in diversity.... I hope you get this?

I learnt that anyone who could speak Hausa or Fulani from outside Nigeria is allowed into Northern Nigeria and considered their brothers and sisters. Now, the entire country is paying the heavy price for something people in the South know nothing about.

It's even more disturbing that security operatives know those sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria but won't expose or prosecute them because they are influential people. This nonsense can only happen in Nigeria, and no sane person should tolerate it.

I understand your point, but what is happening now is not nepotism, it is balance. For years, other regions had their turn and enjoyed the advantages of leadership without calling it favoritism. Now that the south west is being recognised for its consistency,contribution hardwork ,suddenly it is nepotism ? that is not fair reasoning.

Breaking up wont solve our issues, building together with justice and competence will.

Sharia court is part of the problem.

The problem isn't the shariah court itself...it is how justice is being handled in this country...

Even without Christian court, corruption and bad leadership still exist everywhere..

We should stop blaming religion for what failed governance and selfish politicians have caused.

Once leadership becomes fair and accountable, both shariah and secular courts will work better for us.

The shariah council are only defending what they believe in.....and that's understandable...

But both sides need to calm down..Religion is not our enemy ..it is the people who misuse it..

Let's focus on the real problems tearing the country apart..instead of dragging God's name into politics..
