kpas4kpas2:You kept terminating my calls without saying a word. |
Still needed. |
kpas4kpas2:All right. |
upsupa:Payment depends on the portion of work that can be completed by workers per day. Thus, it is not fixed. If you have workers, we could meet physically so that we can discuss about payment and other necessities in details. |
Our crop farm is at Oba, Obafemi/Owode LGA, Ogun State. We need two farm workers to stay on-site and work with us throughout the year. Their basic activities will be clearing, ridging, planting, weeding and spraying. If you deal in bringing workers from Benue, Cotonou etc. or you know anyone whom we could contact, please kindly let me know. Thanks. |
Offer still available. |
I have never enjoyed reading any other fiction writer as much as I do with Achebe. Just now, I smiled sheepishly when he said: "...an Englishman might grumble about his weather but did not expect a foreigner to join in." I have to go back to reading him. Bye. |
Chenult:It is sickening enough that you asked us to make a life decision for you. So it could not be more surprising seeing people turn themselves into judges telling you what you should do and what you shouldn't. They call some courses petty, useless, irrelevant because they think those courses will not get you any job after graduation. This is unacceptable. Don't listen to them. Any of those courses will make you a good source of income if you "master" it better than 99% of those who studied them simply because they made the same mistake of asking people to choose for them or because they had no choice since JAMB had denied them their course of choice and gave them those courses. My question is: which of these courses do you think you can master effortlessly and become better at it than anyone else? That is the course you should study. What this means is that after graduation, you'll be bold enough to walk up to any employer and give them a unique solution to their problems with your knowledge. Those who are telling you their certificates are useless can never be able to do this because they were never able to achieve the mastery of their courses. The employer will either employ you because what you have to offer is irresistible or fire one of their staff and replace you with them. Another way of creating a good source of income for yourself would be by putting your knowledge into use and doing something on your own. In summary, go for any of those courses that you can master better than anyone else and kick everybody's *ss in your class. Don't be concerned about whether you'll secure a job in any field for now. Fight for today. Tomorrow will be better. |

Nairaland is a great platform. But some people are bent on making it hellish for its members. In any sane society, you would expect a simple question to get helpful answers or where possible, silence ( when people don't have answers). Also, in any sane society, people's personal opinions are either respected or criticized constructively. But when you come to Nairaland with your questions and personal opinions, some people who have no idea whatsoever concerning them would immediately condemn you, throw insults at you and in some cases, rain curses on you. Don't ever make the mistake of quoting them to throw insults at them too. Just ignore them and find answers to your questions elsewhere. That is how to kill them. They would be waiting for you to quote them so that the unnecessary argument and insults can continue but they would never get it. I was shocked by the statements of the first person that commented on this post. But like I already advised, it's better to always ignore such persons and find answers to your questions elsewhere. If you have glaucoma and are curious about my questions and opinions, you will find these screenshots helpful. I got them elsewhere.

Worldwide, medicine believes that glaucoma is incurable. So when you visit the hospital and get diagnosed with glaucoma, the best they do is place you on eye drops that can help maintain your intraocular pressure within the safe range and ask you to keep coming for check ups - iop test mostly. But I think there should be lifestyle habits that can help improve glaucoma without being totally dependent on eye drops. I am also wondering if there are certain herbs that could help a glaucoma patient. So I decided to throw the question here and get answers firsthand from people who have suffered or are suffering from glaucoma. PS: Please don't tell me Nairaland isn't an hospital. I know that myself and I visit the hospital a lot. But doctors don't know everything. In fact, I onced asked an opthalmologist if there were lifestyle habits that could worsen glaucoma and he said no, ignorantly. Additionally, there are other safer and better ways of treating certain conditions that are, unfortunately, not practised in modern medicine. Dominique, moving this to front page could get me and other persons more answers, please. |

DON'T MAKE SWEEPING JUDGEMENTS You can't deny that some of the most counterfeited logos in the world are simple monograms. Some designers may not care for monograms but they sure do have value. This is undeniable. Chanel, Louis Vuitton and many other long-term highly profitable companies use crests and monograms in their identities today.
|
Don't put too many ideas into one logo.
|
SOME QUALITIES OF A GOOD LOGO Unique: This means standing out from the crowd. Your logo should fit in your industry and still stand out from the competition. Simple: Makes it easy to understand and to remember. Simplicity, however, doesn't mean it has to be dumb. Creative: Always leave a touch of creativity in your designs. Versatile: Flexible enough to use in various circumstances. Fitting: Make the appropriate logo for every company. You don't want to make an overly serious logo for a toy brand.

New project! LOGO DESIGN PROJECT FOR UNIQUE TILERS
|
I designed a logo for Unique Tilers - a floor and wall tiles' installation brand. The mark is a monogram that is simple, memorable and functional. When you look at it, you see something that resembles a clean and orderly arrangement of three pieces of tiles (which depicts that the brand is an expert at what it does). They also combine to form letter U, the brand's initial.

COLOUR PSYCHOLOGY IN LOGO DESIGN Let's quickly talk about your logo and the colour scheme of the brand's industry. Do you want to conform, for instance, by using yellow, red and/or white for a fast food brand or you want to stand out (contrast) like Tacobell, by using purple in the same fast food industry? Standing out is not always a good idea. So while trying to do it, you should always consider what the colour says psychology and whether it fits the brief.

LOGO DESIGN AND THE 3-SECOND TEST I like to start with this because it's both funny and interesting. And many Nigerian designers don't usually put it into practice, too. In logo design, there's a test popularly referred to as the 3-second test. Here is how it works: When a designer finishes working on a logo, he presents the logo to another person and the person observes it for just three seconds. The logo is said to have passed the test if this person can reproduce it on a paper or describe it so well that someone who has not seen the logo would be able to reproduce it. The aim of the test is to check the memorability of the logo. Does your logos always pass this test? |
