Hi Nairalanders,

Just to share a bit of my madam's experience at POE and delivery.

This was our second missionary journey. I must say that this forum has been very insightful.

We applied and got our visa as normal under the appropriate category. Bought her ticket and that of our daughter, though she felt the date I fixed her flight for was too early (I set her departure for 32nd week). On getting to Dallas CBP Officer tried to deny her access but he failed (all her documentations were intact, zero balance, accommodation receipts, doctor's communication, cash, accommodation booking, my letter of consent, copy of my Id card and employment stuffs, e.t.c). Finally he stamped her in for 6months .

On getting to the extended accommodation after week 1, wifey wasn't comfy with the room because there was no sufficient space for my Daughter to play, so the search for a bigger accommodation service. She found one a 2 bedroom apartment (though not through airbnb) via asking around. She went to inspect it and took pictures for me to approve though it was twice our accommodation budget I agreed and She moved in. Did all her registrations at the hospital and also continued her search for birthing center (she started this before going) because she wanted water birth. She got one, registered and paid, then went for series of tests (some paid some were included in the bill). She was advised to get "Salus-Haus Floradix Iron ..." and eat lots of veg, reduce fruit intake. She followed all advises.

Just after her 3rd visit to birthing center she went to Walmart to buy more veg for the week, on getting to the house she went into labor (38th week). Only my daughter, herself and Jesus Christ in the whole building. She picked up the phone to call new friends made via the church who can take her to the hospital (she said my daughter [1+] was just crying mummy mummy), in less than 3 minutes her water broke only to find out that new baby was already wanting to arrive, so she dragged herself to the bathroom and turned on the shower while she wait for help and uber(she had already called uber ride) but in less than 10 minutes she had delivered the baby with Dr Jesus (no tear). Shortly after the new friend came in and they simply went to the birthing center for checks and the normal things there.

Mother and baby are doing fine, went back home in less than 6 hours .

Sorry, tot you said your wife was applying alone? Anyway, tell her/you to read this thread from Part 1 to at least part 3.

You have about 3 weeks to your interview. Trust me you'll be better informed on what the VO's look at for after reading.

The reason? State what was stated in the denial form.

at shrekandfiona and babatawi Thanks i have been able to get 11th of September but the interview will be in Abuja hope it wont be a problem cos i first applied in Lagos and was denied. What is the idea of the reason i should put for denial?

The only way you can get a closer date is if you keep checking after intervals,this had happened to me sometime ago,the 1st time i checked, i got a date of 6wks ahead,i dint give up till i got a convenient date of 2wks ahead and i booked my appointment for 2wks ahead. so keep refreshing the page Until you get a closer date. Also check at midnight

at shrekandfiona and babatawi: Good morning please i tried reapplying and the what i get as the first available appointment day is 3rd of october and her EDD is 28th September .
Is there anyway i can get early date between now and first week of september ?
Should i still go ahead or just cancel the registration?
Please i need your informed decision.

Hello abdulmaj, you sound desperate. Please relax and take a deep breathe.

Yes you can reapply, since your wife applied alone and was denied, maybe its time you applied with her.

Work on your transcript. What you posted is poor, there was nothing convincing in that transcript.

You both own a farm. Talk about it with pride as a tie to your home country. Like this: We both run a farm & fishery and we supply agricultural products and equipments to federal establishments, hotels, traders etc. We also train and equip upcoming farmers etc modify this in your terms.

Increase your budget and make sure you have an evidence incase they ask to see.

Do you have good travel history together or individually? That can also be used to assess you.

Read parts 1-3 and pray hard.

Thanks and God bless i am trying to know if i can still try again cos is time frame not that i am desperate. Besides she applied with my son and i guess the denial was due to the fact that she was going with my son alone...So i will make her apply alone. If there is any further assistance need i will consult you..

Sorry for the denial. Are you same with abdulmaj? Similar transcript.

1st thing, increase your budget. For a family of 3, 15k is really low for birthing.

2, work on your ties. As it is you both run your businesses. Speak about it in a way that will convince the VO its sufficient to bring you back to naija.

3, Apply alone. Let your hubby and son serve as a tie back home.

4, Read parts 1-3 and pray for God's Favour

Good Morning my wife went for her interview today and she was denied.
The question is can we reapply cos she is in her 33rd week going to 34th week. Can we reapply
and get a new interview date before she gets to her 36th week ?

Let it be the first thing you ll tell the VO on the day of your interview. Simply say there is a mistake u ll like to correct on your application form and spell it out!

Good day. Pls I need your advice on my issue. My wife is having her interview on the 15th August 2017 which is next week Tuesday we just discovered where she filled in as salary for 23,000 was 230,000 that reflected on the completed form. Is there any way to correct this mistake ? Thanks in advance
