I think this is about people who make our world today by not giving up(Abraham Lincoln, ford) not people who became what they are today by not giving up(jayz, Oprah, jordan), am expecting the likes of Martin Luther king, Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, John F Kennedy, Tim Berners Lee (Credited with founding World Wide Web), Mother Theresa, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, Eleanor Roosevelt (helped to draft UN declaration of human rights), Alexander Fleming, Vasili Arkhipov and Stanislav Petrov (Preventers of Nuclear War) to mention a few.

FamilyGender Inequality - The Roles Of The Alpha Male In Violence Against Women by abeloureal(op): 7:31pm On Oct 14, 2016
I decide where I take my bicycle. How I ride on it and exactly when I want to. I might be unduly careful how i ride on it at first because it is still sparkling clean and I have many friends who would die to get a ride. Choosing whom among my friends who ride on it is my decision. After all he who pays the piper calls the tune. An abrupt loss of interest in my old bike might seem unbecoming after some jolly good rides over time. The dream or fantasy of getting a new bike might be all I could enjoy riding the old one. Fancy seats, colorful body and other sophisticated body parts are improvements on the new bicycles in town which might leave me with no choice than to thrive to having a new one and dump my good old bicycle.

Many women today are these bicycles on which men have total control. It's a man's world i guess. Men own, women are owned. How about owning each other?. 'Helen Mirren' (hollywood acress and sexist) was hilarious with her words but she did explained the simple meaning of dominance or maybe authority of the Alpha male. She said “It annoys me when I see men with an arm slung around their girlfriend’s shoulders. It’s like ownership.” The statement is not too discrete from the action itself. I have always thought it was wholesome - love, but, the intent to do so may differ. The time, the situation at hand alongside many other external and internal factors are pointers to the sacrosanct conclusion that it is love or otherwise according to the assertions of Helen Mirren above. Women too are no better. They can be easily switched above the table and meandered by the dead air from their place of solace into distress - like "ping pong".

UNICEF describes that gender equality "means that women and men, and girls and boys, enjoy the same rights, resources, opportunities and protections. It does not require that girls and boys, or women and men, be the same, or that they be treated exactly alike."
UNFPA stated that, "despite many international agreements affirming their human rights, women are still much more likely than men to be poor and illiterate. They have less access to property ownership, credit, training and employment. They are far less likely than men to be politically active and far more likely to be victims of domestic violence.

Many are of the opinion that gender equality is a fight against men by women. The above brief but detailed definition is however enough to change such erroneous mindset. It is as we know it today a fight to further push women into political offices which no one would deny but not insane. It goes beyond that and not even the most important in the world we live in today. One thing we have failed to understand is what it was before and what it is now. It is now like taking out that cassava tuber with a go-to-hell - because you have the tool just like a saying that 'if hammer is the only tool in your hand, every other things look like nail'. It is not even a 'fight' if I must be sincere. It is a cause. It is a legal demand not a legal war. The rationales for the demand of what rightfully belongs to them are not many but inviolable and seemingly unassailable. Partial or total discard or neglect of this demand is an outright vile against women. They, however, today want this because they feel cheated but beyond that, they were for long sidelined and kept outside the circle. How can a man own a woman? Oh! Of course he paid her bride price just like he owns the school after paying his school fee.
The UN describes violence against women as "any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or in private life". The earliest form of violence against women is the Female genital mutilation. Early marriage (Child marriage), forced marriage, wife-beating etc.

An upbraided woman might see the worst coming the moment her husband's form of rebuke or chastity turns into a brawl with over a million veins on the neck of her husband becoming more conspicuous like never before. There are stipulated punishments to a variety of wrong doings starting from the family - the small world, to the larger community. You can spank your kids, at least, the African society still welcomes that (it is being frowned at by some educationists) but why beat your wife? Many men are quick to strike their women as if the marriage oath is in full support. Most of these men with this 'quick to hit' action have anger problems or maybe spiritual problems shouldn't I be naive and they are mostly pooltroons who will chicken out of a duel with their male counterparts. They have chosen to abuse the physiological make up of these 'weak vessels' but unknowingly to them, they (abusive men) are the effeminate ones.

'Payback rape' is a common bestial debauchery in some countries to a woman as a punishment to an erring family which they see as a comeuppance to the immaculate woman. In 'payback rape', a female member of the offending family is raped or dragooned into having sex as a punishment for the errors of one of the members of her family. So do some see their wives as their property. A speaking property, mobile, breathing but not that that is to be grokked. A man can have his wife whenever or wherever he wishes to do so. Albeit the woman may not want him, but the woman is his property anyways - Marital rape. How will you seek the permission of your couch to sit on it or your trousers to where them? They are yours and should always be at your service but the kids may play with the any of the household sharp objects (pin or blade) and leave it on the couch for you to sit on. So maybe sometimes you need permission from your property. Your woman does not even get the honor to decide with you. You decide for her. When your poor decision has backfired on not one but many other people who are directly or indirectly linked to it, you still find the woman culpable forgetting that it was your call in the first place.

Some men back their violence with Religion but Religion does not in anyway support this. After much brutal action against a woman, a wife to be precise, they seem not to have a choice because they do not see divorce as an option. She's my wife she can't leave. She is mine. In reality, these women are so because all they could see or think of themselves are described in the words of Haruki Murakami - “ I am living in hell from one day to the next. But there is nothing I can do to escape. I don't know where I would go if I did. I feel utterly powerless, and that feeling is my prison. I entered of my own free will, I locked the door, and I threw away the key". If it were in wrestling that would definitely be called "No way out". There is always a way out. At least not without a prior understanding of the words of Rachel Cane. She said “ What are you going to do? Are you going to live in the dark, locked in here? Afraid to look out, answer the door, leave? Yes, he's out there, and he's clearly not going to leave you alone until one of three things happens: he hurts you and gets arrested, or he makes a mistake and gets arrested, or you stop him. Women are always at the receiving end here with no obvious sign of cease of the bully unless the third option where you just have to stop him is adopted.

The kitchen is the woman's industry. Many men appreciate the work from the kitchen but not the work in it. Men have forgotten that this women's industry holds the collection of the most dangerous weapons in our homes today. Can you mention them? Knife? Very dangerous. Even a fork can do the magic but they wouldn't use them against men as many as they are. Men have just one over them which they use against them. Women are not only to be heard but listened to just as many women would say even as many would say that men are supposed to understand them.
Stop domestic violence against women. Gender equality is not male chauvinism.

Well, I would say that the punishment is a normal thing in Nigeria but then the sane thing would happen if it were to be in the US. Abstinence over "wise action" - that is the message at that point of anybody's life.
EducationRe: A 2:2 In These Universities May Equal 2:1 Or First Class Of Other Universities by abeloureal(m): 4:30pm On Sep 29, 2016
Should education be appraised on the strictness involved before the reward or the quality of the education?
So tell me, a third class in Harvard is equal to what in the above universities.??
So u think a PhD program that lasted 8years is strictness (one of my lecturers ordeal) or stupidity and mediocrity.
I hate people saying this poo. Upon the whole wahala we put ourselves now....Nigerian universities for Africa is nothing but rubbish.. You better stop this rubbish comparisons because every student has their own story to tell. A university is only better than the other by qualitative education and pragmatic approach to human problems not outright wickedness that u call strictness.
