acidosis™:You forgot the most important.., rent per anum and be ready to pay 2 years - 700k to a mill, depending on location. |
onatisi: my brother i believe you dont know much about gabon,so i will just give u some points,NOONE CAN DISPUTE THE FACT THAT NIGERIA IS ONE OF THE RICHEST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD IN TERMS OF NATURAL AND HUMAN RESOURCES BUT IS THE RICHES REACHING THE COMMON MAN?that is the difference between gabon and nigeria, omar bongo their late president made the people very very very comfortable to the extent that they didnt even mind how long he ruled them, when i went to gabon i saved 100us dollars equivalent in thier cfa francs in a week just working at the ilaje fishing bay at pont nomba apart from the fact i was feeding three full square meals daily and paying my room rent without any difficulty and those i met there were even telling me at that time that i came at the wrong time that gabon was spoilt.most ibo traders take kaikai and garri to gabon to sell at almost triple the price it is been sold in nigeria ,to sum up this point gaboness or the people of gabon are verry very very comfortable, the only two things they know is makossa music and regab beer.strangers serve them ,pls note all this past experience of mine happened in 1997,i dont know what might have changed.but there are many nigerians living in gabon that if you offer them usa visa they will curse you.you cant sit in lagos or the west and be fully informed about gabon or cameroon ,you have to meet ppl at akwa ibom and calabar to see trader trading between these two countries .if you believe nigerians live better than gabones well you are free to express your own opinion or do ur finding but what i saw and experienced is what i am telling u.which is GABON WAS AND MAYBE STILL VERY VERY GOODThat was 15yrs ago, Gabon is now desolate.., only viable for drug dealers, Human traffickers, in short Gabon is now a trans-route for criminals. The only thing they had going for them was the relative peace, but now even that is no more. ![]() |

HNosegbe: Government will continue to pay little or no attention to the state of our health sector until they are required BY LAW to visit only hospitals in the country. Where a public official chooses to travel abroad for treatment, (s)he should be made to pay for it from his/her pocket.GBAM!! ![]() |
kayswag100: in 2day's Nigeria? He is an Ijaw Man, He has applied to the FG for license to build a $30b refinery in Bayelsa, the president's own state. I can say he has shown a genuine intention of goodwill. Plus he has played the "President's brother" card. Besides when seriously considered, it makes good biz and economic sense. within 2 yrs they should make enough to finance their refinery project. cos at #75, they'll have the market. |
...waiting and watching. ![]() |
Former Information Minister and Chairman of South South Assembly, Chief Edwin Clark in his presentation advocated the abolition of states and the entrenchment of zones, as federating units as canvassed by Chief Alex Ekwueme during the 1994 Constitutional Conference. The Ijaw leader dismissed the present 1999 Constitution as a military document that should be subjected to rigorous amendment at a national conference. “I agree with those who say there must be a new constitution. A situation where some zone have six states and another five, let us review it, based on experts advice—not on sentiments. “The thirty six states governors have no initiative, they only come to Abuja at the end of every month to collect from the Federation Account, thinking that will solve the problems. “I think we should abolish the states and strengthen the zones. We need a national conference, because the National Assembly is arrogating to itself, the power to look at the constitution. “Let the federating units meet and submit their deliberations to the National Assembly. What we have now is a military document; we must deliberate so that we can have a federation of equal partners. “So, I believe the six geo-political zones, suggested by Dr. Alex Ekwueme should be the federating units of this country.” Totally agree with Edwin Clark here, this is the only way forward. |
Nice one sistah, carry go! ![]() |
Good move, at least a good place to start. There are still those in government and house of assembly who believe that the executive was wrong in accepting the ICJ judgement and ceding Bakassi to Cameroon. |
tissot84: NEXT BIDDING ![]() |
take dat: This bidding is fraught. One would have thought State govts would join in the bidding exercise partnering private firms. This is more like a monopoly or why should be a company take over 4 discos in two or three geo political zonesIf state governments own power generation and distribution stations then they are no longer private. Government at any level has no business being in business. |
As long as due process was adopted, then this is a welcomed development. Federal Character principle should not apply to strategic and key sectors of the economy, only qualified and capable bidders should win. Efficiency and competency cannot be compromised. |

chucky234: Visionary president? Alomo bitters is bad to your health, desist from drinking alomo/ogogoro mixture because its causing more damage to your brain leaving your sense of reasoning in a terrible state.Valid point bro.., but you dont have to be this rude, sarcastic and pessimistic. You end up not passing your message and stirring up confusion instead. Don't let us digress from this good news. ![]() |

sleek29: Ibos, the most cunning people in the world, the reason why foreigners hate nigerians, the dupe everywhere, from fake drugs to substandard products and all claim to be businessmen, please can one find one clean ibo businessman? Always seeking to cheat the next man, go to ghana and ask why they hate nigerians, go to SA, just go and find out why they so much detest nigerians, I really want that to change to biafrans, the only tribe where parents don't question or investigate the source of their children's wealth. I just love the peace I enjoy in lagos during december when they have made their 'pilgrimage' to the east and pray they don't returnAnd the Yorubas are saints, they dont do yahoo-yahoo and yahoo+, Yoruba that will build a house and live in the BQ and rent out the main building to an Ibo who is willing to pay any amount. Yoruba men who would build houses in lagos and rent same to 50 different and run away after collecting money from all of them for the same property? Or the ones that will set fire to a market just because the ibo traders and successful and can afford the shops where they can't? Take a chill pill dear.., don't be so bitter, its not good for your health. ![]() |

CyberG: I think the judges should do justice to this case, so let us see. In my opinion though, let the ibos secede but their will be conditions which will NOT be negotiable:Why should a land not up to the size of Benue State threaten you so much.. ![]() If nothing good will come out of the separation why are you so AFRAID! to let Biafra go ![]() |
mu2sa2: Bukar Ibrahim hits d nail on the head. We hav seen how poverty & injustice led to violence in d Niger Delta. D violence in the north east is largely a product of poverty & injustice and cannot be stopped by more violence. JTF is now becoming a problem than a solution - the same way that NATO has only brought misery rather than succour to Afghanistan. D insecurity in the north east requires imaginative and concerted effort to ameliorate the dehumanising poverty there by all govts - FG,states and LGs. Bukar Ibrahim may hav put it bluntly but he is saying the truth- abusing him on nairaland doesnt alter the truth. As already pointed out by others, what is the contribution of the North East to the Nations Economy to justify their demand for equal share of the budget? The poverty in the North East is caused by their own leaders- Governors, Senators, LG Chairmen etc...what have they done to better the lives of their people ![]() |
