SportsRe: Bash Ali Reacts To Evander Holyfield's Invitation To Nigeria, Slams Lagos Govt. by Abolore3(m): 11:11am On May 29, 2017
Invitation of the World boxing legend is good for Nigeria as he has clearly contributed in no small way by donating 3 million dollars to assist in building schools and well equipped gymnasiums. However, the whole arrangement of his invitation was not tidy. Local boxing legends could have at least been invited as special guest and recognised while Holyfield will be the focus of the event. I am aware of the organisers perceived risk that some of our local boxer could capitalise on the gesture to complain of neglect, and even go overboard to start equating themselves to the guest in their speeches or even hijack the event and turn it into some political or publicity stunt hence their avoidance - however that clearly backfired... I think they could have managed well by incorporating our boxers into the programme with clear explanation of government's objectives, which am sure will takeaway any ill feeling to gain their support. There is certainly much lesson in how this event turned out for similar ones in the future.
PoliticsRe: Igbos' unfair blame Of Yorubas For the Failure Of the Biafran Experiment . by Abolore3(m):
Very simple - Only Igbo born or descendant that are grateful, thankful, wish Yoruba people well, wish us progress, peace, bless Yoruba people and Yoruba land shall prosper in our land.

Any non-Yoruba and their descendant that live in Yoruba land, make a living, finds livelihood on Yoruba land and with her people, breath the air of our land, eat the food of our land, drink of water yet does not bless Yoruba land and Yoruba people, is ungrateful to Yoruba land and Yoruba people, harbour evil and negative thoughts against Yoruba land and Yoruba People, wishes and speaks evil against Yorubaland and Yoruba people, seek to intimidate, harass and usurp any Yoruba person our soil, seek to cause confusion and destruction - such person or group of people and their descendants shall Labour, Toil, Sow, Produce, Invest, Harvest but never reap from the fruit of their labour. They shall seek but never find, they shall come into the Yoruba land and leave with nothing, they shall find know no success and prosperity in Yoruba land.

But should they be grateful and express their gratitude openly, bless the land, bless the people and wish the people prosperity and progress, only then will they prosper in the land (Amen).

Car TalkRe: Nigeria Now Producing Armoured Vehicles (photo) by Abolore3(m): 9:30pm On Nov 18, 2013
Good start, kudos! These guys might not have fully automated factory like in China or Europe but their ability to produce the vehicle with crude equipment, shows a lot of determination and doggedness that is required if you want to produce anything in a country like ours. For this reason I commend them. I don't care if they import knocked-down parts and even fit it by hand; all that matter is, they have started and can only improve. And if the work space is your problem, it would serve you well to know the best inventions/products started from ordinary people's private garage/backyard... This company is really doing well and I can tell they are going places see this

As for those of you calling this a Technical School Project, am so ashamed we still have myopic people like you who will never see, appreciate or promote your own! Why is it that you won't just give the ones' trying a breathing space rather than bad mouthing at the slightest opportunity! I just hope it would not be too late for us in Nigeria to realise acquisition of technology is race... If we don't start from the crude, we would most certainly continue to be dependent on other countries for even the lowest of technology to our disadvantage!

Forget the technology transfer crap, the Asian Tigers never had any, and they can tell you better... When the chips are down, we will all know where we stand in the grand scheme of things. Already reality of this is hitting us hard - I only hope we will wake-up and not continue to be zero-class citizens of the modern world...
