PoliticsShame On Nigeria! Do You Know 25% Of UAE Federal Gov't Spending Is On Education? by AboveTheRim(op): 8:14pm On Mar 25, 2022
Apart from man-made architectural marvels and adventurous wonders of the country's natural environment, the oil-rich United Arab Emirates, which consists of 7 Emirates such as Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah, Umm al-Quwain, and Abu Dhabi as its capital, is also rapidly progressing as one of the world's leading countries with global education standards. This is evident in the country's technological and economic advancements over time, which were engineered by its product.

The United Arab Emirates has a literacy rate of 90 per cent, making it one of the best in the world education index, thanks to the government's commitment to education, with the federal government spending a whopping 25 per cent of its budget on education. International students should take advantage of the UAE's highly technical, innovative, and self-learning curriculum.

The quality of universities in the UAE is among the best in the world, with a curriculum modelled after the United Arab Emirates Development Plans and an emphasis on innovation. There are numerous English programmes available at various universities in the United Arab Emirates, and learning or having a fluent understanding of Arabic is not required. The Emirate is constantly making significant efforts to improve its nationals' English fluency. Normally, UAE nationals can study for free, whereas international students must pay tuition fees, which may appear to be high, but the prospect of numerous scholarships and the ability to work part-time on a student visa makes it worthwhile.

Universities in the United Arab Emirates have high global rankings, with the most prestigious being Khalifa University, and others including United Arab Emirates University, University of Sharjah, Zayed University, American University of Sharjah, American University of Dubai, Abu Dhabi University, Ajman University, and others offering Bachelors, Master's, and PhD programmes in a variety of disciplines.

APPLYING FOR A STUDENT VISA AND PERMITS
A student visa is required for international students to study in the UAE. However, such student visas must be sponsored by either a higher education institution or a local relative, with a one-year validity period and the option to renew annually.

5 ESSENTIAL TIPS YOU MUST CONSIDER IF YOU WANT TO IMMIGRATE PERMANENTLY

A lot is going on in the world right now, including the post-COVID-19 era, inflation, financial crises, terrorism, health concerns, global security tensions, dwindling economies, and other factors. Do you intend to settle in a developed country permanently? Don't worry; it's just another stage of life that brings with it a lot of anxiety, mixed feelings, and challenges.

According to UN 2020 data, the top ten migrant destinations are the United States, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, France, Canada, Australia, and Spain. Every day, people plan to migrate to other developed countries in search of greener pastures, to avoid government prosecution, to advance their careers, to avoid terrorism, and so on. It is not always simple, and deciding to immigrate is a major decision anywhere.

We have compiled a list of 5 essential tips that you should consider if you plan to migrate to another country. It will not only guide you but will also provide you with a roadmap for executing your trip abroad flawlessly. So, take a deep breath and pay attention to these tips.

1. Make sure you have a skill: Deciding to move abroad permanently is difficult, and you'll need to make drastic, difficult decisions to help you settle down in your new country. Having a 21st-century skill is a step in the right direction. Skills are practically in demand everywhere; indeed, prosperous economies are predicated on people who are talented and efficient at driving the economy. If you're moving to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, or Singapore, be sure you have in-demand expertise that will help you adjust quickly to your new surroundings. From IT skills like software development, UI/UX design, and digital marketing to offline skills like driving, haircutting, electrician, auto mechanic, plumbing, welding and fabrication, and so on, make sure you're proficient in at least one of them.

2. Law and Culture: You do not want to migrate to a country where you are unfamiliar with the culture, laws, and governmental processes. Every country has its own unique set of laws and politics. What is legal in the UAE may be illegal in the United States. The governmental processes in China differ from those in Australia; you must be informed with such ideas and knowledge to determine whether they are a good fit for your personality. Similarly, being familiar with the country's local culture will allow you to interact well with the locals, celebrate their holidays, make local friends, and express your thoughts.
