MayorofLagos:

No one ascribe feat to Igbo but what you people ascribe to yourself, three quarters of it lies and embellishment.

Chinua Achebe started the movement to change your tribal identity from Ibo to Igbo. He was ambitious in claiming role for yanmiri in the Moremi classic and connecting Ibo to Ile-Ife. He was successful in renaming your tribe but attempt to connect Ugbo referenced in the classic with your tribe failed. The aim collapsed when historians and anthropologists pointed that the Ugbo mentioned in the classic is a native Yoruba people now domiciled in Ondo, and not yanmiri.

Another Igbo embellisher is Catherine Acholonu. Wherever greatness of Yoruba or other noble tribes is mentioned in African classics, Acholonu invented a parallel for Ibo and insert it in revisions. If it became known tomorrow that ancient Yorubas travelled on two wheeled chariots in the 16th century, within two years you can bet that Ibo will reveal they rode chariots too and with publications, written by no one but Ibo, to support the falsehood.

Your purported greatness is what is self-claimed, opposed to discovery made by independent outsiders engaged in historical research digging up antiquities on Ibo greatness.

Bunch of frauds! angry

Married to an Igbo women, assaulting Igbos together and always to loud. He is very quoted by youthful Yoruba's in my nairaland circles. I wonder: is he useable as a reference to Yoruba thought patterns of the moments.

there was no coup.
There were assassinations.
They were branded Ibo coup.
That's where our problems of trust and domination started.
Everyone one was scared of Ibo need to colonise anywhere they find themselves. Hence reprisals
so basically the Igbo's committed no direct offense, right?

how old are you. who started the killing. read your history well bfor coming online to misinform ppl
there was an 'igbo coup' and then a counter coup to balance it. Try accounting for the war on igbos. Stop leaning on age. That is not making you look so clever.

but nzeogwu who started the killing is not a war monger and ojukwu who marched into Lagos instead of stopping at onitsha
Nzeogwu was an igbo general- counter coup counter balanced the 'Igbo coup'. Then the civil war. Think of it we may still have some retribution for y'all to answer to

Its not naive, its rather simple and plain. The state will resist all attempts at disintergration and will resort to force if necessary
what is a state? A British economic interest? Or a home of homogeneous people?

Buhari- undisclosed but pretty sizey
Ty danjuma- 2 whole oil wells in south south
Obj- otta farms.
The only one I wonder is adekunle. He killed the most of us but died rather poor

Forty years later, Gowon(the war monger) says Nigeria is better without Igbo's. Wow, he killed 2 million of us (at least, while forcing us back)

Far from bigotism. Igbo's were really killed. Even before the civil war. In the 21st century too

Sincerely, save for Niger delta avengers. All targets are on Igbos basically or up stem or have Igbo's as one amongst the targets embarassed. Sometimes the NDA is twisted to igbos too. Establishing this will be a good start to answering this
