ok thanks bro
PhonesRe: Tecno M5 discussion thread by Abtundex: 7:15pm On Dec 25, 2013
Qunlexus4u: CAUTION: ur phone must be rooted and it is strongly advisable u install and port cwmr on ur phone before u do this
* download and install exposed installer u can Google search it.
* open the exposed installer then click on framework
* u see some numbers under active in red colour now click on install/update then click on soft reboot.
* now open that xposed installer again the numbers in red should be in green by this time
* now press back button and click on download then scroll to where u will see gravity box click on it and scroll down u will see download click on download and install it after the installation quit the xposed installer and move the gravity box to ur internal memory (It's not compulsory but I have my reason for this)
* now launch xposed installer back and click on modules then tick the gravity box then press back button then reboot ur
* now when ur phone comes up after reboot open the gravity box (not from xposed installer this time) launch the main gravity box installed on ur phone now go to display tweak then scroll down and tick the last option I.e the backlight stuff then reboot ur phone. That's all.
There are many things u can do with the xposed installer depending on what u want.
Do this at ur own risk but if u follow this step ur phone is 90% safe. Goodluck
bro pls which notification light re u talking abt do u mean like d type on top right corner of blackberry phones
PhonesRe: Tecno M5 discussion thread by Abtundex: 7:06pm On Dec 25, 2013
nani.666:
font installers are risky...they may cause brick while changing some incompatible fonts (although that's not really an issue if you have CWM installed)... and the major difference between this flashing method and using font installers is that flashing fonts change the entire fonts on your device... everywhere.. but font installers doesn't change the lock screen clock font..and the font on some other parts of the device still remains the default smiley

that's why flashing is better
so how do u make it flashable instead of installing direct

HOW TO CREATE
CWM RECOVERY FOR YOUR
M5. First Root your phone.
Enable Usb debugging on ur
phone settings.
Back up your stock rom with
online nandroid back up Google android usb driver dl it
and install on your system (P.C)
Download Mtk droid tools (use
google to search for it) Now your phone must be On tru
out this process, Copy your
boot.img from your phone
stock rom back up to your PC. connect your phone to system
and open MTK droid tools, it will
read your phone and bring out
details of your phone. Check d down part of ur mtk
droid tools and click on root(It
must change from color yellow
to green) Once u are done with dat,
switch tab to
root.backup.recovery Tick to choose d boot.img file And click on recovery and boot Den locate ur boot.img (it will

now in that mtkdorid on ur pc open it and you see a folder named backup open it then you see ur phone name inside it contains all ur backup if you check through you will find a file name boot.img inside it thats what you will use to flash cwm on your phone by following the below process
PhonesRe: Tecno M5 discussion thread by Abtundex: 5:27pm On Dec 22, 2013
It may take at least 30 minutes to
an 1 hour depending on how many
apps installed on your phone. During the backup process you
may see a pop up asking if you
want to make a compressed file
for the backup. You can choose
"No" if you don't want and it saves
some time but I would recommend to choose the later one so you can
have 2 backups at the same time.
Once the backup has been
completed check out the folder
that contains your MTK Droid
Tools application and you will see a folder named backup. The
folder will contain all the images
that you can use to flash using SP
Flash tool and a zip file which is
just a compressed files of the
backup created by the droid tool. You can also see on your phone
that there is a new folder named
clockwordkmod inside that there
will also be a images that you can
use to backup your rom using
Clockworkmod (CWM)

t the backup
option is grayed out. If you want to
learn more about the other
options just hover your mouse on
an item then it should tell you
what that option is all about. Click on the "Root" button on the
lower right hand corner and you
may receive a pop up requesting
for root access choose "Yes" this
only appears if your device is
already rooted. But if your not rooted a different pop up will
appear nevertheless choose "Yes"
to confirm.
Also if your device is not rooted it
will be be rooted temporarily while
we are backing up the rom but after the process is complete and
you restart the phone it will be
unrooted.
When root access has been
confirmed we will see that the
previous options that are grayed out are now available. Since we
want to backup our rom we need
to click on the "Backup" button.
Again if you want to know what
the other option does hover your
mouse and it should tell you what its for.
After we click on the "Backup"
button the process will now start.
PhonesRe: Tecno M5 discussion thread by Abtundex: 5:18pm On Dec 22, 2013
extract pdanet on ur PC. install the
PDA net when a prompt box
displaying "skip USB....bla bla... just
plug in the working m3 with USB
debugging enabled to complete the
driver installation. We now need to open the MTK
Droid tools and just extract the
contents. (Its a self extracting
application by default it will
extract the contents to the same
location of the exe file). The contents would of the file would be
similar to the image below.
Now since all the file for the
computer are finished let us get
the MTK phone ready for the
backup process. We need to enable "Developers options" under
settings and put a tick mark on
"USB debugging". It should look
something like the image below.
Once both options are enabled
connect the phone to the computer.(Optional : Enable Stay
Awake)
Let us now open MTKDroidTools
and you will see your Phone
Information.
Click on "Root, Backup, Recovery" tab. We can see that the backup
option is grayed out.
