That's how one day I got a ride request from ceddi Plaza around 7pm. 5 of them but the lady that sat in front is equivalent to the remaining 4. I told them I don't take overload & she was still aggressive about. Last last God saved me from their hands & the ride never happened.

Some guys are not smiling at all. How could 5 mature men want to squeeze themselves inside a small corolla?.

I was at Lokogoma area ,when I got a request on Uber to pickup a rider from Canary Street, less than 2km from my present location.

I started moving immediately using the map to the rider's location,when I got to Estate gate ,called the rider and he directed me to his house. More reason why I like uber App,once you get to the rider's location,the App would notify the rider and after 5mins of waiting,the App would start charging the rider for waiting time,and the driver would be eligible for a cancellation fee.

So, I called the rider again after waiting for more than 10 mins,and reminded him that I am still waiting right in front of his house.After few minutes he came out,sat at front seat and ask me to wait for others, in less than 2 minutes, 4 guys emerged and started squeezing themselves at the back seat. At first I didn't realize what was happening,until my car started shaking due to body adjustment and the door refusing to close.

Immediately I told them that it's against Uber policy to carry more than 4 persons in a sedan, and also I do not want to have problems with FRSC. One of them said, "ahhhy, Oga, we go manage am like that,na Sunnyvale we dey go". Then I said no, and another said, "if you no dey go,cancel,cancel" ,they all alighted and I moved like 20m away ,and they started beckoning on me to return,but I have already ended the trip.

Thanks to Uber,as I got cancellation fee immediately.

The only thing that the drivers are growing is their pocket size..otherwise they will be in their village farming ..this guy must JJC

If fares are too cheap, the options are to either quit or take it up with the company (Uber/Taxify). I've noticed many drivers grumbling and acting nasty with a rider after the trip ends and they see a fare that is not as high as they expected.

You people should never take out your frustration on riders. It's disgusting. The fares are set by the company. That's the whole idea behind Uber. It shouldn't be a source for quarrel between driver and passenger.

Bro. If your riders are going shopping, you need to determine the most time you can stay waiting! 10 minutes is fair enough, beyond that, negotiate for offline between 1k5 and 2k5 for 1hour depending on your vehicle.

You were receiving and canceling requests, what do you think would happen to your acceptance rate? This work is a pick and drop-off thing unless you are on hire (meaning per hour transaction). If not, at the end of the day, you might not be profitable to yourself and/or your partner (I car isn't yours).

Lesson learnt.

I got a request to pickup a rider from Bon Hotel on Negro Crescent, got to pickup location and 3 people hopped in the car,a Nigerian and two foreigners,destination was chopsticks and ceasers maitama.

When we got there,I was asked to wait for them to get some food, in my mind,I thought that the waiting would be like 20mins or Max 30 mins,little did I know that it would be a long wait.

While waiting,I keep getting requests, got 4 different requests. After about 80mins of waiting,they came out and we headed back to their hotel. Dropped off the foreigners and took the Nigerian guy to Grand Ibro hotel,then back to Maitama-Ontario Crescent and ended the trip.

Trip fare was N1900, wow, after all this long wait?.

Well, lesson learnt,the good thing is that the guy got me Chinese rice takeaway.

My first week (Fri,Sat,and Sun) on Taxify.
