Ameen wa iyaka

The affection i feel for my mother (even other mothers) is somewhat different from the way i feel for fathers. I am not in anyway belittling our fathers, i believe its natural for every human to feel so.

WHENEVER people would come from Yemen, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would ask them, "Is Uways Al-Qaranee amongst you?" until, one year, he met Uways.

He said, "Are you Uways Al-Qaranee?" He said, "Yes."

Umar continued, "From Muraad, then Qaran?" He said, "Yes."

Umar then asked, "Were you once afflicted with leprosy and your skin healed except for a dirham's area?" Uways said, "Yes."

Umar finally asked, "Do you have a mother (that is alive)?" He said, "Yes."

Umar then said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say, 'Uways ibn Aamir will come to you with the delegations from Yemen, from Muraad, then from Qaran. He was once afflicted with leprosy and his skin healed except for a dirham's area. He has a mother, and he treats her kindly. If he was to ever swear by Allah (for something) Allah would fulfill his oath. If you can, request that he ask forgiveness for you."

Umar then requested from Uways, "Ask forgiveness for me." And Uways Al-Qaranee did. (Sahih Muslim)

Allah said:

"And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honor. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: 'My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when i was young." (Qur'an, 17:23-24)

If someone came to you today and offered you a free lunch, no doubt your response would be to smile and speak kindly to them. Why is it then that our parents receive only cold stares, harsh words and bitter treatment and they are who they are in our lives? For twenty or thirty years they fed us, clothed us, washed us, and showered their mercy on our soft skin. Their love for us never dies even if we do; it is a love that goes even beyond us, to our children and even our children's children.

Birr Al-Walidayn is a characteristic of the believer. Al-Hasan Al-Basree defined it saying, "Al-Birr is to obey the parents in everything that they ask so long as it is not to disobey Allah. Uqooq is to disown your parents, denying them all of your goodness."

By the Ijmaa' of scholars, being respectful and obedient to one's parents is Fard (obligatory) .

To better understand what is meant by Birr Al-Walidayn (kindness to parents), the scholars set the following conditions for one to follow:

One: He should place the pleasure of his parents above the pleasure of anyone else, including himself and his wife and kids – everyone.

Two: He should obey them in everything they command or forbid, whether it agrees with his desires or not, so long as they do not command the disobedience of Allah.

Three: He should present them with everything he feels they desire, whether they ask for it or not. He should present it with kindness and mercy, understanding that no matter what he does he will always have some shortcomings in fulfilling the true kindness that his parents deserve.

Allah's love comes when our parents love us. And Allah's anger comes when our parents are angry with us.

Haywah bin Shurayh, one of the Imam's of our Ummah, used to give classes in front of his home. During the class, his mother would call him to feed the chickens. He would stand up, leave the Halaqah, and go feed the chickens.

We all want Allah to accept from us; we would all like to enter Paradise. Look down dear brothers and sisters, and you will find paradise at the feet of your mother (as mentioned in a Hadeeth in Ahmad and An-Nasaa'ee) .

On the other side, making our parents sad or even making them cry is one of the many ways to earn Allah's anger.

A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) to give him his pledge of allegiance. He said, "I have come to pledge allegiance to you for Hijrah and I have left both my parents behind crying."

The Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded him, "Go back, and the same way that you made them cry, make them laugh." (Ahmad)

Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Making ones parents cry is amongst the Uqooq, a major sin!"

Sheikh Al-Qaasim once said, "Subhan Allah! How can we leave our parents sobbing, and then we claim that we want to go for Jihad so that Allah will be pleased with us? Go back and make them happy with your visit as you made them sad by your departure. If they laugh and are pleased with you, Allah will be pleased."

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "May he perish! May he perish! May he perish!"

It was asked, "Who, O Messenger of Allah?"

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "He whose parents attain old age in his life - one or both of them - and he does not enter Paradise (because of his goodness towards them)." (Sahih Muslim)

Assalam Alaikum Warahmatu Llah.

The salafi (somtimes called Wahhabiyya) Daaw'ah has come of age, it has emerged as the only group that teaches the true islam as was practiced by the prophet (peace be upon him) and our pious predecessors.

The call to the to this part was revived in the 18th century by the great mujadid shaykh Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab (1703-92) rahimahullah. His venture was supported by the then Muhammad ibn Al-Saud rahimahullah. None of us would doubt the fact that his mission then was to rid off the then order of the day which were superstitions, blind allegiance, innovations and worshipping of shuyuks.

From my deduction i believe any true muslim is a salafi, ahlul sunna or ahlil hadeeth.

Islam › The Amazing Description Of Iron In Qur'an by abushaheed(op): 1:38pm On Oct 07, 2008
THE Qur'an disclosing some facts about iron unknown in the 7th century said: "And We sent down iron, in which is mighty power, as well as many benefits for mankind." (Qur'an, 57:25) Literal translation. Arabic 'Anzala' means to send down. (Al-Mawrid, A. Yusuf Ali)

It is said that iron is extracted from the depths of the earth then how is it that the Qur'an mentions it as having been 'sent down.'

The answer is as the Qur'an says that 'the heaven and earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them.' (Qur'an, 2l:30). In other verse the Qur'an said: "Then He rose over towards the heaven when it was smoke and said to it and to the earth: come both of you willingly or unwillingly. (Qur'an, 41:ll).

However, this Qur'anic statement was confirmed only in 19th century The scholars admitted that the earth was a gaseous mass, and had in it burning hot magma, after its separation it cooled down and condensed till it was enveloped in a hard layer of 10 to 15 miles of solid crust.

The original gaseous mass had in it all types of metals, like iron, gold, silver, copper and lead etc. Therefore, when the Qur'an spoke of Allah sending down the iron, it referred to the original nebula that contained all the materials.

When the earth cooled and condensed, these metals took their specific shapes along with other matters present in the gaseous mass. That is why these metals can be turned into liquid magma. The earth still contains in it burning hot liquid magma which comes out in an eruption of a volcano. The iron is most important among the metals. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said in an anthentic Hadith "Verily Allah has sent down four blessings from the sky: the iron, the fire, the water and the salt."

No doubt, all these things were the part of the gaseous mass when the heaven and the earth were joined together. Later, after its separation the earth with all its treasures came down, hence all these matters descended from the sky.

The Qur'an speaks of the benefits the man derives from the iron. Use of iron has all along been an inseparable part of our life. In houses, buildings, industrial machinery and in governing a country we use weapons made of iron. Only one thing remained undefined of which the Qur'an spoke: "We sent down iron in which is mighty or violent power."

During the period of the revelation of the Qur'an in the 7th century, weapons mainly consisted of swords, spears, arrows and armors. The people in those times could not comprehend the violent power of iron. In the 12th century when the cannon was invented the people became aware of its mighty power. But after the development of blast furnaces in the 19th century the use of iron shot up many fold. Machines, automobiles, ships, trains, rails, engines, industrial plants, pistols, revolvers, rifles, guns, cannons of very long range, armored cars, tanks, bombs, missiles, rockets and atomic reactors – all the dangerous weapons did prove the violent power of iron.

No doubt the Qur'an is the Book of Allah, which contains His Omniscient Knowledge. Whatever development the world may achieve, it shall never go beyond the Qur'anic knowledge as Allah said: "And We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur'an) as an exposition of everything." (Qur'an, 16:89)
Islam › What Is The Worst Fitnah? by abushaheed(op): 1:09pm On Oct 07, 2008
Bismillah Hir Rahmaan Nir Raheem

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatuallahi wa barakatuhu

Hudhayfah was asked: "What is the worst fitnah?"
These narrations are from Hamud at-Tuwayjri's 'Ithaf al-Jama'ah':

In (1/25), he mentioned that Ibn 'Abd al-Barr reported that Hudhayfah was asked: "What is the worst fitnah?" So, he replied: "That you are presented with the good and the bad, and you are confused as to which path to take."

He also reported from Ibn Abi Shaybah in his 'Musannaf' that Khalid bin al-Walid said: "Fitnah is that you are in a land in which sins are rampant, and when you seek to leave it for a land in which sins are not rampant, you are unable to find such a place."

In (2/223), he mentioned that Hudhayfah said: "A time will come upon you where none will be saved except those who supplicate as if they are drowning."

It was reported in the 'Musannaf' of Ibn Abi Shaybah, as well as in the 'Mustadrak' of al-Hakim, and he said: "It is authentic upon the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim, and they did not report it," and adh-Dhahabi agreed with him in his 'Talkhis.'

Ibn Abi Shaybah also reported that Abu Hurayrah said: "There will be a fitnah such that nothing can rescue you from it except to supplicate as if you are drowning."

All praises are due to the lord who has created all that exists. He who has created Man, and has'nt stopped sustaining him, despite been grossly ungrateful.

Haven digested and comprehended all that has been said, it further re-installs my faith, and i have no doubt that :

ALLAH IS ONE, KNOWER OF THE UNSEEN, LORD OF THE WORLDS, THE BEGINNING AND THE END, THE MASTER JUDGE OF THE DAY OF STANDING AND

MUHAMMMAD IS HIS MESSENGER, ISA IS HIS MESSENGER, IBRAHIM IS HIS MESSENGER, AND THEY ARE ALL MUSLIMS.

It is only rational to expect results as speedy as possible if such huge amount of raw cash have been issued for a period of 4-8 years.

How can we keep talking about fact when the real facts are so glaring.

4 example; how long will it take the OBJ administration to dualize the ABUJA-LOKOJA road, which has claimed alot of liveshuh?
or do we need some sort of customized equipments 2 construct the roadhuh?

not 2 mention but little from the scores of abnormalities that were portions of his so called GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, this MAN has failed us, let him answer the call.
