I was born before 1992 and I did a new birth certificate from NPC last year. I don't think the regulation is overly binding.

Maybe it was the fact that I already had an NPC birth cert and just needed a correction of name in other to finalise my permanent social security.

You can visit any NPC office, preferably the one at Surulere and liase with them.

I reckon it’s cos you had the old one. Almost impossible to get a new birth certificate from NPC without the old one if you’re over 18

But the only problem here for someone like me is that I was born before 1992 and NPC can only issue Birth Certificate to any person born in Nigeria after 1992, any person born before the 1992 can only get attestation of birth certificate from NPC.
Though I have a birth certificate issued to me few years ago by my local government when I misplaced the one I was using before,all my names on it is the same as my names on my passport.But I am thinking maybe they will not recognize it because it was issued by local government

My advise: don't bank on Attestation. Get a Birth Cert. from NPC

Rah I’ll just have to stick with attestation and hope for the best; quite difficult getting Birth Certificate without the old one.
Also, I’ve translated it but I was told I might have to legalise it at the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs also. How did you get yours done?

Yh attestation is fine. I think the problem is translating it to french and authenticating it.

Has anyone translated and legalised their birth certificate? Heard it’s required for several processes there

Myself and 2 of my friends got our visas this week. People are getting visas.

Was it delivered to you? And if so how long did it take? Mine’s been en route for 2 days now

I think issuance of visas is still yet to resume. This was in an email from campus France few weeks ago. I really hope they do soon cos September is just around the corner.

Well, I’m not sure myself. But the Campus France guy said 2 weeks max. The VFS guy said 3 weeks minimum.

Lol that’s conflicting info.
Do you know of anyone that’s gotten a response? I think issuance of visas might not have resumed even though submission is allowed

Says application sent to french embassy. No new update since that.
Around how long dyou reckon the process takes?
