First your girlfriend needs to visit the town hall to get the attestation d'accueil to show her apartment/flat can accommodate you.
You need to provide your documents to prove your ties to Nigeria .
If all is in place, you should apply for a tourist visa.

I would advice though: you stand a better chance applying on your own without an invitation. Get all your documentation right.

An invitation doesnt guarantee a Visa you must meet the criteria.

Hello guys, I wish to apply for a French visiting Visa from Nigeria. I have a girlfriend who is student over there, she'll provide an invitation letter.
