HealthRe: Chest Pains: Am I Having A Heart Attack? by AceNY: 5:59pm On Mar 01
See your Doctor. You have no cause for alarm, but see your Doctor for explanations. Do not bring to social media issues your Doctor can easily explain. First degree AV block is not a physical block, it's merely a harmless conduction delay. Dont panic. Cheers
Daphilly:
Good evening to all doctors here, please I will appreciate if anyone can interpret this result for me.

I have been having chest pain for like two weeks now..though it's not that serious but I do feel pain and pepperish sensation in my chest..so I decided to go to a lab to do this test.

I will appreciate if anyone can tell me what this is all about. Because I am a bit scared with the block I am seeing. I hope I am not having heart attack?

What is is the solution please?
Christianity EtcPersistence In Prayer: A Mark Of Faith And Trust In God by AceNY(op): 7:58pm On Feb 15
Prayer is one of the most powerful privileges given to believers. It is the channel through which we communicate with God, express our needs, offer thanksgiving, and seek guidance. Yet, prayer is not always answered immediately. At times, answers seem delayed, and discouragement may set in. This is why persistence in prayer is essential. The Bible repeatedly teaches that believers must pray continually, faithfully, and without losing heart.

One of the clearest teachings on persistence in prayer comes from Gospel of Luke 18:1, which says, “Men ought always to pray and not faint.” Jesus illustrates this principle through the parable of the persistent widow who continually appeals to an unjust judge for justice. Though the judge neither feared God nor respected people, he eventually granted her request because of her constant persistence (Luke 18:1–cool. Jesus used this example to show that if even an unjust judge responds to persistence, how much more will a loving and righteous God respond to His children who cry out to Him day and night. Her story reminds believers that persistence is closely tied to faith. When we continue praying despite silence or delay, we demonstrate that we trust God’s power and timing.

The prophet Elijah also modeled persistent prayer. In First Book of Kings 18:41–45, Elijah prayed for rain after a long drought. He sent his servant seven times to look for a cloud. Six times there was nothing. Yet Elijah did not stop praying. On the seventh time, a small cloud appeared, and soon heavy rain followed. This account teaches that answers may come gradually, and believers must remain steadfast even when there is no immediate sign of change.

Persistence in prayer is also emphasized in 1Thessalonians 5:17, which instructs believers to “pray without ceasing.” This may not necessarily mean praying every second of the day, but living in continual dependence on God. Likewise, Apostle Paul encourages believers in Epistle to the Romans 12:12 to be “patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” Persistent prayer strengthens faith, builds endurance, and aligns our hearts with God’s will.

Persistence does not change God’s character, but it often changes us—shaping our desires, deepening our faith, and preparing us to receive His answers.

Therefore persistence in prayer is a vital discipline in the life of every believer. Scripture teaches that God honors steadfast faith. Delays are not denials, and silence is not abandonment. As believers continue to pray with faith and perseverance, they grow spiritually and experience the faithfulness of God.
Christianity EtcRe: Is The Church The Problem Of Nigeria? by AceNY: 11:49am On Feb 23, 2025
Well said. Accurate. The Nigerian Church has contributed more to national development over the last 150 years than any other religion. An unbiased assessment of the impact of mission schools and hospitals is simple evidence. This is a balanced perspective.

Christianity EtcRe: How I Saved A Friend From Becoming An Atheist by AceNY:
[b]Ps 77 vs 8 Is his lovingkindness clean gone for ever? Doth his promise fail for evermore?

9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? [Selah

10 And I said, This is my infirmity; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.

11 I will make mention of the deeds of Jehovah; For I will remember thy wonders of old.

Thank you very much for being an encouragement to your friend. The Psalmist also felt so at some point.... God bless you abundantly
Merry100:
2024 seemed to be a very difficult year for many, I am not excluded; it was the kind of year that one might wish they had spent in a coma, only to wake up and find it was another year.

One of my friends experienced a significant business setback, and I, along with others, tried to console her. When she finally regained her composure, she started claiming that there was no God.

Even though I was also having a bad time, her claim didn't sit well with me. There was even one particular client who was frustrating the hell out of me at the time, to the extent that I had to refund his money and tell him that I was no longer interested in doing business with him.

One day, I approached my friend and told her that I wanted to speak with her. She replied that if I was there to give her a sermon, she wouldn't listen. I proceeded to tell her that I was also frustrated and angry with God.

I narrated my bad experiences to her, but I told her that I don't think they are enough reason for me to say there is no God. I mentioned that I still remember those times I prayed and received instant miracles. There was a particular miracle that happened to me in 2022; I had shared it with her before, but I recounted it again during this conversation and also reminded her of a specific miracle she had shared with me.

I included that there are times when we ask our parents for things, and they give them to us instantly without stressing us. However, during those times when we ask and they refuse to give, we might show our frustrations or try to avoid speaking with them or seeing them, but we don't start denying that they are our parents or go to court to sever ties with them.

When I discovered she was reasoning with me, I proceeded to tell her that it was okay to be upset and frustrated, and that she could even vent her anger by misbehaving, acting like a prodigal child, and doing all sorts of things until she felt satisfied. But she should not claim there is no God when it is obvious to her that there is God. This is how I succeeded in reversing her decision.
PoliticsRe: Hajj Fare To Hit N10m As NAHCON Announces End To Subsidy by AceNY: 1:24pm On Oct 09, 2024
MartinCorridon:
I'm a Muslim and it is extremely stupid to subsidise Hajj.

God instructed us to go ONLY if we can afford the trips.

Trillions have been wasted on pilgrimage to Mecca and Jerusalem while our own country has continued to rot. Funny enough Saudi doesn't even need Nigeria. We are just a drop in the ocean. I've been there.

We are the most religious. We pay tithes in churches and go for Hajj.

Same set of "religious" people embezzle, cheat and rape their maids.

Always said it. If I become President, will immediately stop subsidising Hajj and tax the hell out of churches.

You will refuse to pay taxes but you're loyal to paying tithes. Yet Jesus said " Give unto to Caesar what's Caesar's and give unto God what's God".

Funny enough, Arabs and Jews hate Blacks more than excreta yet we Africans have adopted their gods as superior to ours.

Go to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Israel and you will flog our leaders. Useless.
MartinCorridon....
While you tax Churches, remember to tax mosques too. Collections are taken there...and the Imams also feed fat on the sweat of their followers. Both religions take financial collections in one form or the other, not only the Church.
EducationRe: Should I Apply For Medicine Considering My Age? by AceNY: 1:15pm On Nov 02, 2019
Get into a fully accredited school. Go for it. It's worth every effort. Also remember Medicine is an Internationally mobile degree. Go for it, but get into an accredited school to prevent future delays and disappointment. I wish you all the best!

When BH takes over an army base, they plunder grenades and armoured tanks from the Nigerian Army .... but NA overruns BH and all they take off the terrorists are a few guns....was there really an encounter....? Or Bokoboys simply left a few camps for our NA to feel like they got a conquest?.... sad!
