@ ChinenyeN
are you saying that your people can from no where bc of all archaeological survey, Australopithecus garhi remains the oldest, in Africa. Have you noticed that apart from Nigeria there is no other place igbo is spoken. i believe that there is every likelyhood we came from thesame place though not at the same time. and the village wars we fought against each other is a factor in establishing our history bc some groups were alienated, some were force to move to another side, while smaller groups moved towards stronger ones for protection. how sure are you that the ohuhu people were not your brothers who moved during crisis but later moved back (obviously the offsprings). Do you know that there are Ohofia people in oraukwu of anambra state where they are not regarded as strangers. if the descendants move back to ohaofia, will they be considered strangers bc they cant point out their father's obi? However, our language remains that big clause that holds us together. Dr Elizabeth Isichei is a good author to read. she recounted a lot of issues as told by very old/dead forefathers. even the original igbo writting technique. Its interesting.

CultureRe: Meaning Of Nri by adaide1: 5:00pm On Nov 25, 2011
its not far fetched. though there is no proof. alot of igbo idoms and proverbs, have the same meaning with Hebrew ones esp. when translated directly. you might be right after all.

CultureRe: Meaning Of Nri by adaide1: 3:38pm On Nov 25, 2011
@ mbatuku
obiageriaku (obiageri) or obianaujuaku (obianauju) are of the same meaning. aku means wealth or prosperity, while eri is a verb meaning 'to eat' .You're  right, Nri is the son of eri. both are ancient igbo word that have been so distorted. however eri is the father of agurueri, nteje, agukwunri, okuzu, enugukwu, and they are also found in some part of enugu state. agukwunri (nri people) are the levities in the igbo traditional religion. they are found all over igbo land. 'Nri' as food is pronounced and used differently.

CultureRe: Shrines And Justice In Igbo Culture. by adaide1: 2:07pm On Nov 24, 2011
Today their is no justice but then when it is believed that 'ani' can kill bcecause of a lie or for killing or involving in any kind of societal nums; that chineke or osebuluwa (olisa bu uwa) or olisabi na igwe (who had no shrine or image but greater than all the gods that lived on earth with their shirnes) gives direct justice. Justice was given. In the era of old,  justice is given not just because of  oneness, fear for the most high (chineke),  love and pride in who they were but they had conscience and were truthful to each other. Much more truthful than what we have in churches today. Their only sin was the use of shrines as means of enforcement and it worked for them. today it is a symbol of wickedness than justice. sad
