Hier: Whatever are the contradiction you perceive lies in the Bible is due to your inability to interprete the Bible contextual as there are mindless liftings and presumptive attribution of interpretation by readers. There are no contradictions in the Bible, not even one. Who is a pastor? (Pls don't tell me, a pastor is a person who wears suit on Sunday)
Did the verse you quoted made use of the word 'pastor'? A pastor is an ordained leader of a Christian congregation. A pastor also gives advice and counsel to people from the community or congregation. .... So, there are numerous female pastors....i even have one in my area. |

Firstly, I am not a Christian by religion, I am a Christian based on my relationship with Christ in other words, I'd prefer you addressing me as a follower of Jesus, since the word christianity has been bastardized. Therefore, I am no religious fellow. Secondly, I am not going to argue religion with you. Reason being that - there's nothing I tell you that will change your look of things. You apparently have all the supposed information. Lastly, for the record; what you said about sword is wrong, Jesus wasn't even talking about the physical sword instead he was talking about the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. It is important to remember that Muhammad was a gentle and friendly guy, who never took pleasure in violence, from the greatest kind to the smallest kind. He reprimanded a fellow in his ranks once by smacking him gently. When the fellow complained, Muhammad apologized and said, "Now you have to hit me back, I deserve it." Muhammad stood there and waited for the blow, but the guy was so moved he simply gave Muhammad a bear hug. One time, the father of Muhammad's wife was angry with her, and when he came close to strike her, Muhammad reprimanded him strictly, even though he was one of his best friends. Muhammad was also, quite literally, a tree hugger. Even Muhammad's enemies admitted his truth, honesty and gentleness. Muhammad was not, however, a pacifist. He believed that for a society to run with adequate freedom and safety, military defense and capital punishment was necessary, and outlined strict and limiting rules regarding such actions. |

The Prophet Muhammad was a peaceful and highly respected man until age 40, when he declared that he received Holy revelation from God for a monotheistic and egalitarian way of life. After this, him and his followers practiced MLK-style protest for 13 years, living as Muslims and preaching, but never striking back. Getting beaten, even killed, tortured, humiliated, but never striking back. Then, after migrating to Madinah, Muhammad allowed his followers to fight back in the defensive. Back then, casualties in battle were rare. In the bloodiest battle with thousands of soldiers, only 70 Muslims died. And this was a huge tragedy. It was this battle, the Battle of Uhud, that Muhammad is recorded to have killed someone from the Meccan side, Ubayy bin Khalaf. It should be noted that Muhammad himself was severely injured in this battle; people thought he had even died and he lost several teeth permanently. |

GeorgeTheCoder: I am not confused. I am enlightening you.
The old Testament is the way man followed God after the original sin of Adam seperated God and Man. The New Testament is how man follows God after redemption through Christ. Christians follow the New Testament not the Old. Jews follow the Old.
Second, don't be so quick to criticize the old Testament. Your Koran is based on it.
Last, I notice you have nothing to say either about Mohammeds blood lust nor the violence and terrorism of Islam and its followers today. I'm not surprised.
You have no argument. Go and sit down. Luke 19-27 But those my enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring here, and slay them before me. I guess this is also old testament. 2. WHY IS IT IN YOUR BOOK IF YOU ARE NOT FOLLOWING IT. |

GeorgeTheCoder: You quoted the Old Testament. We are done with that. Christians live under a new convenant. It is described in the books of Mathew through Revelation. It seems like you haven't heard.
Let me mention just two differences between Islam and Christianity and leave it there :
1. Jesus Christ never killed anybody in his 33 years on earth. Indeed, he raised the dead twice, and raised himself to prove his powers. Mohammed was a blood thirsty warlord who killed thousands. When he died he was eaten by pigs, I understand.
2. Christians do not force anyone to believe. Islam kills people who do not believe.
You follow a man whose mission in life was killing and conquest and you say you are peaceful. Lwkmd. You see how confused you are? ... what's "OLD TESTAMENT" , what's "NEW TESTAMENT" ? .... is it not in your bible that your GOD will bless those that slay? |

Hier: Honour the Sabbath and keep it only is an injunction on Christians to gather under the priesthood of a pastor or preacher to hear and minister, these ministers devote productive time to search for interpretation and wisdom of God's word and teach it to the people and God purposed tithing and offering for their welfare. 1. Deuteronomy 14:23 “Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always.” The Bible says EAT your tithe?
2. Deuteronomy 14:25 “Then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the LORD your God will choose.” You also have the privilege to exchange your tithe for silver. . 3. Deuteronomy 14:26 “Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice.” After the exchange of your tithe, you and your household enjoys. |

It is obvious from the diverse ways of beliefs and worship of each denomination, no two "Christian" denomination worship the same God. Their body of beliefs are different, their modes of worship also quite different. Unless you wanna say that the Holy Spirit is the author of confusion. If all Christians believe the same thing why do we have 3 to 4 different churches on the same street of less than a kilometer anyway? |
