Kano State Ajingi LG. CPC 18632. ANPP 10223. Pdp 6523. Makoda LG anpp 9093 cpc 11985 pdp 11470 (Source Buhari's supporters on facebook). If this is true then GEJ is not performing badly at all. This is more so because Kano has 6million out of the 17 million voters in that zone. So if ANPP takes a good chunk off it and GEJ gets a reasonable figure, it would be a big dent to the 'high' votes Buhari expects from that zone. |

tatiana009: Trust me, Buhari WOULD NOT get a higher number of votes. Most of the results from the Northern states are trickling in and from what we see, Buhari is getting 60% of the REGISTERED voters there. GEJ would get between 80 - 90% votes of REGISTERED voters in the SS and SE. Do the maths. |
![]() |
Sweet T: Maybe you have also not figured it out that Buhari only has votes in the North with GEJ stealing just the amount that he needs while Buhari has nothing close to 10% in the south south and south and less than the required 25% in the south west |

Pataki:Wow! That means GEJ has won cos he is getting serious votes in the North while Buhari does not exist in the South. BTW, when you say majority is in the North , i hope you are not stupid enough to think that the 19 Northern states are voting for Buhari? |

Concept: Prayer for myself May my home be as organised & as beautiful as Rivers State. May my life savings increase the way Amaechi has been saving 1billion naira every month for Rivers State. May my family experience the peace & love that has returned to Rivers State May all my debts be written off the way Nigeria debt was written off I say Amen to these prayers thats why Im for PDP. Prayer for you May your family members be arrested and executed the way Buhari arrested and execute people. May you find it diffcult to fund your education and that of your unborn children the way Buhari made it difficult when he introduced tuittion fee. May your always be arrested and detained without trial with your hair shaved. May you indebted the way Buhari plunged Nigeria into debt. May you contitnue to cry the way Buhari cry when his loss became imminent. I hope you said amen? |

Just wondering how Buhari would meet the constitutional requirement of 25% in 2/3 of states. |

Nobody can win elections by relying on his region alone especially with a relatively new party like the CPC.This is what Buhari failed to realised and it has boomeranged. |

Before my sojourn in politics, I had no house, account or property outside Nigeria and all my kids schooled in Nigeria. When I became President by the grace of God and the wish of Nigerians my story did not change. Everything remains the same. My political offices never altered my taste for things Nigerian. Till the day I die, Nigeria will be the centre of my world. GEJ |

Yakassai, Zoning Advocate, Campaigns for Jonathan By Ahamefula Ogbu 13 Apr 2011 A staunch opponent of President Goodluck Jonathan’s candidacy in this Saturday’s presidential election and member of the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPFL), Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, Tuesday made a u-turn and asked Nigerians to vote for Jonathan. The repentant Yakassai, who was a special adviser to former President Shehu Shaghari in the Second Republic, also appealed to the electorate to shun ethnic and religious considerations while casting their votes for the president. He spoke when some influential Northern leaders led by former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ghali Umar Na’Abba, paid the president a courtesy visit and to congratulate him on the success of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last Saturday’s National Assembly elections. He noted that the results showed that Nigerians voted for individuals who have the ability to deliver. He said an analysis of last week’s elections showed that voters shunned ethnicity and religious sentiments and voted for those who could change their lives and asked them to continue with the voting pattern and return Jonathan to power as all would be the better for it. “From the results, it is clear that Nigerians voted individuals and not the parties regardless of their religious affiliation and ethnic background. I appeal to Nigerians to continue to do that so that we can build a great nation. “One thing I always observe is, if you go to the market, you find Hausas, Ibos, Yorubas and other ethnic groups interacting together. They never had a fight in any market in Nigeria on religious or ethnic basis. The common man in Nigeria is tolerant, if you find trouble along religious and ethnic lines, it is something organised from outside, not by the people.” According to him, Jonathan had already started by demonstrating sterling leadership qualities by refusing to manipulate elections which led to the credibility of the exercise and signposts what he was willing to do in future to put the nation back on track. He also had kind words for the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jegga, for showing leadership and ensuring that the image of Nigeria was redeemed through conducting credible elections last Saturday. “I am highly delighted at the outcome of the elections; it shows Nigerians can do what many people may not believe that Nigerians are capable of doing. We give our gratitude and appreciation to INEC under the leadership of Prof. Jega. Also, we appreciate the attitude of Mr. President because without his cooperation, we will not have free and fair elections,” Yakassai said. Also speaking, leader of the team, N’Abba, observed that the manner and result of last Saturday’s elections was a proof that Nigerians could live peacefully together, adding that, “The unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable; the people of Nigeria have shown that they can live together, He praised Jonathan for demonstrating a commitment to keep democracy working in this country, even as a candidate, noting that, “Hitherto votes never counted, now they do count and I believe this will go a long way in changing the psychology of Nigerians about democracy.” He counselled politicians to accept defeat when the outcome was not favourable to them as “in all elections, we will win some and lose some”, and predicted that, “on the balance, our party is leading and on Saturday, we expect that President Jonathan will win the presidential election” |
