Does anyone know if it is necessary for me to submit evidence of my change of name with my application? If yes, what kind of evidence do i need to submit?

Pls am stuck here. My husband is about to request for the letter from his employer but we are not sure what the ECO means by "the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary to be relied on". I would also appreciate it if someone can show me a sample of the letter from their employer. Thanks dearies!

They've stopped taking passport photographs well as at mid April at VI. I think it's one of the new changes they made in how they operate
Does it mean I will have to send my passport photograph to hubby?
Thanks for the info

Hi Everyone,

Are these the only documents submitted by applicant here in Nigeria and the rest sent to sponsor in the UK for postage to UKBA:

- Application form of course
- Applicant's passport
- TB test result
- IELTS Test Certificate

Please I need your help.
Passport photograph too. The sponsor can submit the IELTS straight to Sheffield . Depending on the TLS center you use, some of them refuse to collect the IELTS certificate.

ttymyluv:

Dear nma01, please at what stage/ or month did you do the TB test?

Its important i hear from you.

Thank you

@ttymyluv.....if this helps.....I went for the tb test at 9weeks pregnant. I took the option of the sputum test because I was still in my first trimester. 8weeks plus is a long wait but my child comes first. At IOM, they desperately tried to convince me to go for the double shield protection xray, claiming the risks were minimal. I called my gynaecologist, another independent gynaecologist and a radiographer. They were all against it, saying that some of the rays MUST get to the baby. IOM prefers the xray stuff because it saves time and cost for them (the sputum test is done for 3days and their staff must be there by 7am each day to extract the sputum from you). The highlight of the whole experience was that I was given a consent form and guess what it read.....that in case of pregnant patients going for the chest xray, that the patient fully understands that there are risks and that IOM is not responsible for whatever happens to the baby as a result of the rays. I shook my head, they all tried so hard to convince me to go for the double shield whatever knowing there were risks and expected me to sign a consent that absolved them from any consequences.
In the end, it's the patient's decision to make.

Lexusgs430:

What year was your son born? A change in latter legislation means kids derive nationality from their mothers.

@Lexusgs430....Are u saying that if the father is British and the mother Nigerian that the child can no longer be British? Pls can you explain further? Is there a link to where we can read this?

Hello All,
Please I need some advice. I am about to complete the online form but have not done my TB test. I plan to do the test when I get to Abuja for my biometrics and then submit it there. Am worried if the home office may say that my TB test should be dated before my online application. Please can anyone help me with answers.

Again, I am seven weeks pregnant. I don't know how this can affect my tb testing. Has anyone heard of someone that did the test at this stage?
Thanks all

Hello all,
Please, regarding the printed whatsapp chats to show evidence of our communication, someone told me that my husband and I will have to print ours and tag them separately and submit. She said it is so that they can verify if the two of them correspond. Please, is this true? Can we submit only his own? Because I have changed my phone a number of times since we met so I only have chats from early last year whereas we started chatting in 2012. He has all the chats on his phone. Can we use only his own printed chat records to apply?
