Art, Graphics & Video / Photographers Are Mathematicians by Addegbuyi(m): 11:44am On Jan 21, 2018 |
Despite what you thought about math in school, it does have applications in the real world. Photographers, for instance, use math to calculate a number of settings for their cameras, including shutter speed, aperture and focal length. Math is also applied to the composition of a photograph using the rule of thirds. Step 1 Change the shutter speed to adjust how much light is allowed into the camera for a certain length of time. The camera's shutter speeds are calculated in fractions of seconds, which are usually 1/1000, 1/500, 1/250, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1. Calculating the correct shutter speed to use is a matter of understanding geometric sequence. As you increase the speed from 1/1000 toward 1 second, each increase multiplies the amount of light entering the lens by a factor of 2. Step 2 Determine the aperture to adjust the diameter of the camera lens. The larger it is, the more light is taken in by the lens. Aperture is measured by the diameter of the lens or mirror, while its ability to gather light is affected by its area. Understanding how to adjust the aperture of the camera telescope requires an understanding of the area of a circle, which equals pi times its radius squared. Step 3 Calculate the relationship between the aperture and the focal length. A lens with a 28 millimeter focal length and an aperture of 14 millimeters photographing a 20 meter by 30 meter wall has an area four times greater than a 55 millimeter lens with the same aperture. Find the area of both shots by using the measurements of the wall, which equals 600 meters squared. The 55 millimeter lens has twice the focal length of the 28 millimeter lens and an area of 150 meters squared. The 28 millimeter lens has...... https://fotoservetutor..com/2018/01/introducing-mathematics-of-photography.html Do you wish to be professionally trained in Multimedia, talk to us today on 08034179147. Agriculture / How Feasible Do You See Cotton Farming In Southwest Nigeria by Addegbuyi(m): 1:05pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
Before now, cotton has been made to be believed that its best grown in the north but findings have shown that even the international market does not really reckon with the type of cotton being grown in the North (as there are various types of grown cotton according to the specie of the seed cotton). I want to know peoples' view about growing cotton here in the southwest and how viable do you think it can be. Thank you

damidele:Lets start from the beginning, all makes of cars can be converted to dual mode of power set-up. As for the cost, I would suggest you visit our workshop/office with the vehicle to be converted. The refilling point has not really been spread around but we are working out modalities for easily and accessible refilling points around the country. As for safety during vehicular collision, the following should be noted: 1. The cylinders used for CNG are stronger than the regular cylinder for our cooking gas (LPG) 2. Unless, there is a great impact in the hit from rear or the cylinder is expired, there can't be accidental explosion of gas. 3. CNG is lighter than air so anytime the gas escapes into the atmosphere, it dissipates rapidly. 4. CNG will only ignite when there is an air and gas mixture of between 5 and 15% ratio. Any mixture outside the range wills not lead to combustion. 5. The installed hardware are well sealed that so no breakage can lead to gas leakage. In refilling the gas, an opening is created byt he conventional petrol refill point. see the picture. i hope i have been able to answer your queries? thank you |

Car Talk / Obasanjo Planned To Make Vehicles Run On CNG by Addegbuyi(m): 2:44pm On May 18, 2017 |
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday said his intention during his regime was to develop the nation’s natural gas for vehicles to use and reduce dependence on imported petrol. Obasanjo said he gave out licences to companies in a bid to achieve this, adding that by now, 50 per cent of the vehicles in the country should have been running on gas. Curled from http://punchng.com/planned-make-vehicles-run-gas-obas Unfortunately, over a decade after the license, the country is yet to have enough vehicles run on CNG. I was talking to a friend on converting his car engine to using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and he brought out a list of questions. Here are some excerpts of his questions: 1. What does "Dual-Fuel" mean? Dual-Fuel can be defined as the simultaneous combustion of two fuels. In the case of the Dual-Fuel System, natural gas is utilized in conjunction with petrol fuel to operate the engine. After conversion, the engine is able to operate on either 100% petrol fuel, or alternately, on a mixture of petrol fuel and natural gas. 2. On which fuel does the engine start? During initial startup, the engine operates on 100% petrol fuel. After which, it automatically switches to the usage of gas. 3. Does the conversion de-rate the engine power? No, the conversion does not de-rate an engine. Full power is maintained by providing the necessary energy to the engine as needed. 4. What happens to the engine operation, if gas supply is lost? It automatically changes over from Dual fuel to petrol Operation. When natural gas pressure is restored, the process is reversed back to Dual Fuel, uninterrupted. 5. Does the Conversion change anything on the Engine? The conversion does not interfere with the engine integrity. The conversion technology has been designed to allow engines to run freely without the need to change or modify the design of the engine. The conversion hardware is installed externally on the engine and does not re-modify the engine neither does it alter any critical engine parameter. 6. Can the engine be converted back to petrol?: Yes, it can be converted back to petrol usage. Once the hardware installed is removed, the engine is back to petrol usage only. 7. How much will I save if I run my vehicle on CNG? You will be saving more than 50% of your normal cost for buying petrol when you run your car engine on dual-fuel. 8. Is the CNG option safe as a vehicular fuel Yes, it is absolutely very safe as vehicular fuel Do you have more questions? Please add yours to the list and the answers will be supplied. But what I am sure of is CNG is the best alternative to petrol in every ramifications. Waiting for your questions...... or you like our facebook page - CNGTECH GAS INNOVATIONS or follow us on twitter- @cngtechgas cheers #LETS GO GREEN 1 Share

Car Talk / Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) A Best Alternative To Petrol by Addegbuyi(m): 11:24pm On Apr 26, 2017 |
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a natural gas that is compressed to high pressures so that large volumes can be stored in small spaces. Just as said earlier, it is predominantly methane (about 90%-95%) that is compressed to a very high pressure of 250 bar (3,600 psi) to enable transportation in cylinders at economic quantity. Converting a petrol/diesel vehicle to run on CNG can be done in various ways depending on the type of the factory fitted engine of the car and this also determines the type of conversion kit to be used. SAFETY ASPECTS OF CNG Natural gas is a safer fuel compared to most conventional liquid fuels in the areas of ignition, dispersion and burning features so also with its low toxicity. Natural gas is buoyant in air so it moves rapidly upward if released. Liquid fuel form ground hugging vapor layers and pools when spilled. Carcinogenic and irritant properties relating to skin contact and inhalation of fumes have been identified in liquid fuels whereas Natural gas has no such properties. Carbon monoxide is an unavoidable by-product of hydrocarbon fuel combustion and is the main contributor to the increase in global warming. Natural gas primarily consists of methane (over 85%) and is inherently a clean burning fuel. It has less carbon per unit energy available as compared to petrol and diesel and hence the amount of carbon monoxide produced by Natural gas is much lower. BENEFITS OF CNG A. Financial Benefits: -Lower operating cost as CNG is cheaper than petrol by over 60% and as 45% for diesel on dual fuel mode - Lower maintenance cost. i. CNG is a cleaning burning fuel and hence has lower carbon deposits ii. Due to absence of any lead or benzene content in CNG, the lead fouling of sparks plugs is eliminated iii. CNG systems are sealed and this prevents any spill or evaporation losses B Environmental Benefits: - Reduction in harmful vehicle emission that cause local air pollution - Reduction in global warming - CNG is non-toxic so neither soil or water gets contaminated nor toxic vapour is released at filling stations. C. Benefits to the General Public - Reduction in the cost of running the vehicle - Dual- fuel option is flexible and easy to use - Reduction in exhaust emission leading to improved quality of life and reduced health cost.
