Nairaland / General / Charles Dukwe Feeds Families In Kibera Slums In Nairobi Kenya by adebakin2016(m): 7:14am On Apr 28, 2016
Eradication of extreme poverty and hunger is one of the key tenets of the Millennium Development Goals. Dukwe has for a long time envisioned a world where food is available and affordable to as many people as possible. It is not an easy task bearing in mind that food shortages are frequent especially in Africa mainly due to poor agricultural policies, hostile climate, corruption and high levels of poverty.

Kibera, the largest slum in Nairobi and Africa is a hotbed of poverty. This is a slum where unemployment rates are high, HIV/AIDS rates are high, cases of sexual assault common, literacy levels low, clean water still scarce and latrines few. Cases of insecurity, ethnic intolerance and xenophobia occur in this slum whenever elections approach. Hygiene related diseases such as cholera are part and parcel of life; diarrhea is not strange due to the filth and dirt which are not easy to clear.

Dukwe saw it necessary to help these slum dwellers with food, one of the basic human needs. This is part of his charity works among the underprivileged and marginalized in the society. The food was received with a lot of gratitude and the residents of Kibera slums for once felt their plights had reached some well-wishers. It was joy and lots of thanks from the recipients of the food and cash do donations as they were assured of food for days to come.

On top of the free feeding program, Dukwe provided the residents with a monthly certificate of financial support from profits accrued from his vast business empire. This was to ensure hope was instilled in the hopeless and a form of food security in the near future.

The Kibera feeding program has enabled Charles Dukwe get in touch with the needy in Kenyan and it also gave him a first-hand experience of the life in Kibera slums. This experience has challenged him to continue with the spirit of humility and service to the needy people. Charles Dukwe has committed himself to seeing that food and Agriculture is a major part of his plans for Africa Development.

Career / Charles Dukwe Builds Massive Recreational Centre For His Staff by adebakin2016(m): 9:30am On Apr 27, 2016
One of the keys to the success of any organization is the level of motivation of the staff. When the employee is highly motivated, they give their best and this, in turn, translates to high output for the organization. The number key to the high motivation of staff is providing them with proper working tools and conducive work environment. Most companies stop at just providing the staff with just the tools to form their duties and do not provide employees with social amenities for spending their free time. Most of the employees hence have to part way with much cash to go to the gyms, swimming pools, golf courses, football pitches, running tracks and basketball courts.

Dukwe being a smart businessman who knows that a healthy and a happy employee will produce more for the organization. He decided to build a state of the art recreational Centre for his employee inside his office complex in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This recreational Centre includes swimming pool with qualified instructors who are well trained in diving and lifesaving skills, floaters and swimming costumes are provided.Trainers are available to teach learners, debutants, and amateurs on swimming techniques. A lounge for social gatherings and meetings with a standby DJ for good music, various outdoor sporting equipment for table tennis, badminton, Gym for indoor exercise.

Dukwe having gathered lots of business experience from his days in corporate consulting in the United States of America knows that staff training is also very import to maximize employee output. As a result, he also built and massive training center called “The tent of Knowledge” for his staff. This has been the venue for regular staff trainings, meetings, and worship sessions for his employee.

This state of the art recreational facilities is located inside the massive office complex in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. It is has become a point of interaction with colleagues in various departments hence bonding takes place among the staff. The bonding aids in cohesion and unity among the staff who not only view each other as work mates but also as friends and buddies. The office complex is the call center location for UCA.

Career / Charles Dukwe Buys 12 Pricey Suv's For His Staff! by adebakin2016(m): 9:02am On Apr 27, 2016
The key to the success of every organization is the employees. Employ motivation is one of the biggest strength of Charles Dukwe. He has employed people of various certifications, qualifications, and proven track records. The organization is where hard work, commitment, dedication, and integrity is highly rewarded.

This is the major reason why Dukwe decided to take employee reward and motivation to a new high by giving over 25 awards and 12 Sport Utility Vehicles to his staff. In Dukwe eyes, hard work never goes without rewards and also whatever you sow you shall reap.

Charles Dukwe was moved by compassion to acknowledge the good work these noble men and women have put in. Their dedication, commitment, sacrifice, and competence captured his eyes and he moved to appreciate them through awards and SUVs.

Incentives such as vehicles have ensured the employees feel part and parcel of the organization, their morale is boosted and most if not all of them are contented and satisfied with the working environment.
It is such acts of giving to the people that have made Charles Dukwe who he is today, a man loved by his employees who sacrifice to see that all the tasks given to them are met in the specified period of time. The employees appreciate the positive impact he has had in their lives during their interactions at work.

Webmasters / Re: Whats Wrong With Nairaland by adebakin2016(m): 11:48am On Feb 08, 2016
Seun,

Nairaland has grown to be a very effective medium for education, information and knowledge transfer. I have personally benefited from the several experiences shared by members of this forum on various subject matters. Nairaland is highly informative and educative. I think an area of improvement should be that Moderators and Administrators should inform members who make complain about a post or topic of their decision to the request. In as much as I strongly support freedom of expression, some members use this forum as a means to spread false and malicious information in order to smear the pubic image of the people that they have grievances against. A very important case to note is that of Goodness Amadi using the accounts of Nobody and dukweuk4africa, who has written several false and malicious posts about myself, my colleagues, our Chairman and the company. UK4Africa on this nairaland and . You have removed the some of the posts but these two below are yet to be removed:
