Nairaland GeneralEnjoy 2GB All Night With Just N200 On Etisalat by Adecaller(op): 1:09pm On Sep 24, 2016
As other network providers have night data plans, so also does Etisalat has. The Etisalat night data plan offers 2GB for Just N200. The night plan is valid for a period of 5 hours. Yes! You have 5 good hours to download and stream videos online as well as play online games, for game freaks. The data runs from 12:AM to 5AM.

HOW DO YOU SUBSCRIBE FOR THE ETISALAT NIGHT PLAN?
This is simple as you only need to dial a particular code. To Subscribe for the etisalat night plan, make sure you have up to N200 in your etisalat SIM; then, dial *229*3*11# and you will receive a welcome message.

Once you reveive the welcome message... Of course, you know the next thing. Download till your hand says, "Oga, haba! Spare me now". Yeah! That tells you that the internet is in trouble!!!

Phones[rumour] Whatsapp Chats To Be Shared With Facebook; A User's Opinion by Adecaller(op): 12:10am On Sep 11, 2016
ATTENTION: VERY SOON, YOUR WHATSAPP PRIVATE CHATS WILL BE SHARED WITH FACEBOOK. GO TO SETTINGS, ACCOUNT..... AND BLAH BLAHH...

I have come in contact with this type of information above, in different WhatsApp groups and I think, at this juncture, I have to make known my opinion (which may or may not be right) for the benefit of everybody.

If we are to critically and logically look into the claim that our private messages would be shared on Facebook, we would definitely realise that such a claim is wrong, one way or the other.

Ok, let's face it. No one can dispute the fact that we chat, almost on a daily basis, with our respective friends on Facebook and fb messenger without any third party being able to view our private chats. So, how will a third party be able to view your chat on WhatsApp through Facebook, even if they are eventually integrated? Again, is messenger not integrated with Facebook? Can any Facebook user view your messenger chat?

Also, it has been stated that our chats won't be shared; not even our numbers. So, why, for God’s sake, have some people ventured into the non-profitable business of spreading a false rumour!?

Even though neither I nor anybody can tell what Mr. Mark Zuckerberg has in mind for the integration of WhatsApp into Facebook, one should not just conclude based on what one perceive.

We should however note that I have only expressed my opinion on the latest rumour going viral and I have not held anyone guilty of being a liar.

PhonesDo You Want To Root Your Android Device? Why Don't You Check Out This Thread!? by Adecaller(op): 12:18am On Aug 28, 2016
As it is known that Kingroot is the best and easiest rooting app for all versions of Android (MTK) smartphones, I care to share, with the great fans of this Blog, the way to go about rooting one's android phone. This is due to the fact that some still find it difficult to root their respective android smartphones after many different attempts.

I have mentioned that Kingroot is the best rooting app for MTK android phones because it roots your phone in less than 5mins without the help of a PC, provided you have a fast internet connection (NOTE: It uses not up to 5mb of data) .

Again, a new version of Kingroot (v4.9.5) has been released and i bet it is definitely going to be quite effective as it has always been; thus, rooting any persistent Android smartphone. If you have any problem rooting your Android smartphone, i will urge you to give this latest version a try.

STEPS TO ROOT YOUR ANDROID PHONE USING KINGROOT

*Run and install the downloaded KingRoot v4.9.5 on your device.

*After successfully installing the app, start the application and wait for Kingroot to fully analyze your device. After a few seconds, you will see the main window.

*Click the Big Blue Circle encompassing the word, "ROOT" on your device's screen and wait for a few minutes (make sure you have a good internet connection).

*Wait for the rooting process to be 100% complete after which King User app will be installed on your phone.

*Also installed on your phone will be another app called,  "purify". It is important that I get you informed that the forementioned app,  "purify" is an app that helps you kill unwanted background apps so as to extend your battery life.

WHERE TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST KINGROOT V9.5

Android users, kindly download it Here

PC users, kindly download it Here

HOW TO VERIFY THE ROOT STATUS OF YOUR ANDROID DEVICE

To verify that your Android smartphone has been successfully rooted, simply go to Playstore and download root checker; Install and run it. If your phone has been rooted successfully you will get a success message (a green mark) but if not, the root checker will also tell. If the root checker says that your phone has not been rooted, you will have to repeat the rooting process. This points to the fact that you need to be careful so that you don't miss any step.

Nairaland General(disclaimer) CBN Press Release: Skye Bank Is Not Distressed by Adecaller(op): 9:13pm On Aug 21, 2016
For the sake of Skye Bank customers and for the sake of my fellow Nigerians, I wish to share this vital information so that nobody is misled again and so that the already misled can be reorientated.

Being a customer of Skye Bank, I received a mail renouncing the so much rumoured liquidation of the bank. The mail is a letter affirming that Skye Bank remains healthy as it has not been liquidated by the CBN. Also assured in the letter is the safety of customers' deposits, therefore urging the customers to disregard any earlier information telling them to withdraw their deposits.

It is however also important to note that Skye Bank truly had some management issues but the problems have been resolved with the help of the CBN. To read the full letter, you may simply view or download the snapshot associated with this post.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS OBSERVED

*If any message is sent requesting for your bank details (Any Bank); please kindly ignore such a message as no bank will ever request for your personal details such as ATM pin and the likes.

*If you also received a message that your ATM has been deactivated owing to BVN upgrade by CBN; please ignore it totally. It is fake! I received such and I called my bank's customer care where i was told that the message was fake. So, before you respond to any message regarding sensitive information, I guess it is quite safe to contact the customer care of your bank first.

PhonesThe Release Of The New Huawei P9 And P9 Plus.(dual Camera Phone) by Adecaller(op):
After months of speculations, rumors, and a lot of leaked images, We Can now say that the Huawei P9 has finally been launched. It was also launched along side the Huawei P9 plus.

The new P9 variants come with dual cameras by Leica. The double 'O' being teased the past weeks are two cameras placed side-by-side, one for color photos and the other one for monochrome. The dual camera setup is innovative because two sensors can capture better images compared to just one. Huawei separated black and white (monochrome) and color into two unique modules. Both come with 12 megapixels.

The smartphone can capture light three times better and offers 50% better contrast. These improvements in specs result to more details and vivid colors of images even when captured in low light situations. Huawei partnered with top brand camera maker Leica to produce the dual camera setup. However, Leica didn't manufacture the cameras. A more appropriate description is that they co-engineered the lenses. You can say the lenses are Leica-branded.

The P9 and P9 Plus differ in many aspects. The P9 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display while the P9 Plus has a bigger 5.5-inch screen. The basic Huawei P9 features a Kirin 955 octa-core chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB onboard storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion, and a 3000mAh battery. A dual SIM option will be available in China. The larger P9 Plus boasts of a 4GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB internal storage, microSD card support, and a 3400mAh battery.

The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are all cased in a very thin aluminum chassis. They also come with 8MP selfie cameras, fingerprint scanners, and USB-C ports. The smartphones run EMUI 4.1 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Pricing starts at ($683) for the Huawei P9 while the 4GB RAM, 64GB version will be ($740). The slightly larger Huawei P9 Plus will start at ($853).
