To love is to grow vulnerable Not to ailment's ailing touch but to hate's trepid lurch For as the ocean hasten to the sandy shore So does our hearts budges to its soothing succour When pride dines with prejudice at ego's table Then we must feel the numbing pain of love To love is to die of hunger Not as a salivating tongue languish in famish But as a glowing ember loses its kindle in the rain's shower For as a fish gasp for breath when thrown in earth So does all mortals walk in pursuit of bliss that could be felt When pleasure becomes incapacitated in contempt's seizure Then we must dance to the slow-killing tune of lonesomeness To love is to stay unrepentantly agog Not as the day awaits the night's embrace But as a deserted wife long for her lover's homecoming When the strings of the violin of love breaks Then the melody of life goes out of key Then we must hear the echoing silence of brokenness! mikuz, its takes time you'll definitely get there I notice that you try to adhere to the rules of rhymes The same mistake i had as a poetic-baby Use rhymes that don't rhymes, its sweet that way Who says poems ain't sweet without rhymes, anyway! ![]() Dont just write, write out your mind Your fellow Wordknight Tenibegiloju Smartfingers |
