Car Talk / Re: Reason Your D4 Is Blinking! by adeddao: 6:25am On Jan 30, 2020
Hello everyone, for honda 1999 and above.

Honda has the best gear among others, but many people are not aware of the secret.
If you observe any or those fault in your Honda gear. The only thing to do is to get a good Honda mechanic, tell him to remove the two solenoids also called gear changers ( see the picture below). These solenoids are have filters like engine filters, they are two on the gear box. They need to loose the air filter component and battery before you can see them on the gear box. The two solenoids get clogged over time and that’s normal to remove or prevent dirts from entering the main gear.

So when these two solenoids get clogged, there will be a restriction in the flow of oil into the gear and you begging to see all these various symptoms like delay in gear changing, blinking, gerkings etc.

Also the mechanic should test the solenoids with battery and two wire to see if the pumping system is still working, because if the clogged dirt is too much it would have damaged the solenoid pump. So in this case you have to change the solenoids.
After the cleaning it is better to change the gear oil as this indicates that there are dirts in the gear oil.

I recommend oando dextron III from a good oando filling station .
Stop buying oil on road side shops to avoid buying fake.

Don’t just rush to change your gear. I pity many people who have dropped their gear for this little reason.
Many mechanics don’t understand this basic no matter how expert they are in other aspects.

Pls feel free to ask me any question in case you are confused.

Vibration, Roughness, and Rattle are moslty due to damaged Engine Mounts on Honda Accord. Though other things may contribute to this but this top event experience of vibration is mosly due to bad mounts.

Let us take for instance, if your shock absorber is not good, you can only feel it whenever you are on a bad road. Now let me ask is the noise or experience due to bad road or due to a bad shock absorber? The answer is your shock absorber is simply bad.

So most vibrations in engine are due to bad mounts, which you only notice
1. when your car is on low idle,
2. When you apply brake or on stop light or hold up
3. when a plug is bad.
4. When an additional load is added on the car like A/C or some other accessories even full light in some cases as we have experienced.

Another common error is that there are fake or substandard engine mounts in the market, many people end up buying these, so you need to buy a good engine mount from a trusted shop.

Some mechanics also fix it wrongly. You need to get a good mechanic.

Absolutely true. If you experience vibration in your honda dont just panic, dont mess up your car further, just contact us in portharcourt, we will look into it the mounts and have it fixed / changed for you at low cost.

D way some Nigerians think is just ridiculous. MUST WE DO EVERYTHING LIKE THE WEST? So because there is University of Manchester, all our Universities too should follow suit. Rubbish!!! angry

Must we change Unilag to make the name known, if we want a̶̲̥̅̊ university named after abiola why can't we create a̶̲̥̅̊ new school Ãήϑ name it after him. Afterall,we still need more schools in Nigeria.
Education / Re: UNILAG Renamed 'Moshood Abiola University' by adeddao: 2:24pm On May 29, 2012
Unilag now MAUNI. This is a slap on Unilag as it portrays an act of illiteracy Ãήϑ stupidity. If at all we need to protest at this moment, this is not ‎ΨЂÅƮ we need. A lot of things are wrong with the nation Ãήϑ right actions are urgently needed. Not changing the name of your institution. Our president will feel he has given us something now. How has this affected us. Fuel subsidy was removed, all the promises,we are yet Τ̲̅ȍ see anyone manifesting, school fees are rising up everyday, no jobs, a lot of students are dropping out. Thought U̶̲̥̅̊ guys would protest FO̶̷̩̥̊͡Я something better. Unilag has disgraced all Nigerian universities
