i just got a 2008 kia cerato but just found out the engine smokes but not so much... just little..
Was told to remove the engine and replace it with a mazda 626 engine....

some said the engine can be ringed....

others said i should simply get another kia engine.. (very ezpensive .. about 500k


What do u suggest... can it be ringed?? and after which it would function well

Cause i also learnt that kia cerato engines a difficult to repair or are probably not repairable....

Pls help, my Toyota Corolla 2007 model developed a strange sound and was inspected by a mechanic who told me it was a knocking sound from the engine and that I need to buy a toks engine. I bought this car less than 2 months ago and I'm really confused as to what to do. The sound comes from the bonnet and when the engine is idled and on drive, the sound gets worse and embarrassing. Funny enough, I didn't see any signal to check engine from the dashboard.
Pls advise me on whether to get a toks engine or rebuild the engine. It's VVT-i Engine. And perhaps, cost of buying toks and cost of repair or rebuild of the engine. Toyota Gurus pls help.

Good day guys, I just got hold of Hyundai sonata 2006, the recommended engine oil is 5w- 20 but it is not available in my location.
The available is 5w-40, which everyone around me seem to advise that I buy.

Is the 5w- 40 a suitable replacement for 5w- 20

The radiator fan of 2008 Toyota Highlander randomly comes on for approximately 2mins when the car is switched off. What could be issue.

I have been having issues with my car AC. Spent too much money on it. Just recently, the car cools (not very chilling though, just manageable) very early in the morning and late at nights while blows hot during the day.

Thanks for the Op that created this thread ..I am on the verge of paying for a Kia Rio (2014) Model today , even though it’s Nigerian used with a mileage of about 68,000km .aesthetically , the car is clean but I am still skeptical about purchasing this vehicle .. on the other hand , I got another deal at about the same price with a Toyota Corola 2010 Model ( Made in South Africa) with a mileage of about 200,000 .

I am so confused as to which to go for between the two vehicles .
