To all livestock farmers, a new energy feedstuff with the capability to substitute maize in feed formulation and rations has been introduced by ILRI (International Livestock Research Institute).

The CassaPeelMash is an energy feedstuff processed and milled from fresh cassava peels into mash free from dirt, impurities and toxins and has been ascertained to be capable of effectively substituting up to 75% of maize ration used in pig feeding and other ruminants and also 10-15% inclusion in poultry.

The cost-benefit analysis on CassaPeelMash vis-a-vis maize and other feed grains cannot be over emphasized due to the prevailing price of maize (N130-N160/KG) compared to CassaPeelMash (N45-N55/KG).

The value proposition remains that quality feed can be obtained by the inclusion of CassaPeelMash at a much lower cost.
