All your contributions are very interesting but let it be more practical, concise and direct. |
adejide2: Research says mercury villager 2000 model is very rugged but I need nija owners and expert mechanic who have worked on it to comment about their fuel consumption and reliability. |

ping2ping: Mazda MPV is.....oh, sorry. You only requested for comment from @Sienna.. Your own contribution on mpv and why nigeria are afraid of buy mazda product is also welcome. |
ziccoit: ^^^^^ lol. Toyota zombies.. That is why I am open to every counseling. Just give your own and leave the rest for those who will hear. |
smartchoice: If that's true then you should know that a car's reliability and dependability are subject 2 a lot of variables which are not universal! Hence your quest can be likened to a man chasing SHADOWS!. Far from it, I am an open-minded fellow. Surely the contributions of people are being noted, but let's make them objectively and constructively. |
Nothing like confusion when I am not daft |
Get me right I am looking for perfect car but relatively perfect one which I know is possible. Experience is the best teacher. I just need the experience of people to get good and not perfect car. However I appreciate your comment. |
ukandi1: talking about vehicles with auto transmission failure, Honda is top on the log followed by toyota... Its true toyota disappointments are always overlooked and excused cos of the psychological acceptance of toyota by nigerians... This is interesting and informative. Do you mean vw is more better than toyota and honda in terms of transmission? Is it all model of vw? What about mazda and nissan, are still better than th two? What brand of car can you recommend as a nigerian that will be durable and reliable and easy to maintained? |

ukandi1: Volkwagen Sharan is a better option to me. Its very durable, mostly manual transsmission, easy to fix and fuel economical... Preference for toyota versions as suggested by many here is psychological.. Sharan wil serve ur purpose better though not as beautifully designed as others.. I had vw. Come with some problems like transmission and engine and electrical? Does this free from such because I know some are auto. |
adex2000ng: The vehicle you are talking about that look like sienna is Toyota previa (i think 2000 model) the dashboard interior is superb. it is a very good car. You mean toyota previa has passenger wind down window? Is it fuel economy, easy to maintain, strong as sienna and come in auto because I prefer auto car? |
Once again thank you for contributions. However let us try to limit our jokes because I believe so many people will benefit from this thread. Surely, I would have preferred picnic over sienna because of maintenance cost, I learned it is not found in US. Please my people what is the actual problem of vw sharan or vw model as a whole? |
Exactly, I have camry 1996 that I treated like an orphan. Now it has gotten back at me by nearly empty my pocket. If I should have given a proper treatment I know it will serve me very well. In addition, how and where the car is purchased is very important. I got mine from cotonu delivered in a bad condition. From the day of delivery I have to start paying through my nose. In fact I can never go back to cotonu with that experience. That is why I am seeking for counseling this time around. |
A-ZeD:. Good. Let us again asked how many production companies founded by govt are still alive today? Or how many of them can successfully sustained themselves? Remember nepa, nitel, peagout, nicon and vw where are they today? In fact if not because of enough availability of money to milk out in nnpc it would have gone patapata. Also they should have informed Odua to wait for nigeria made bulletproof car instead of squandered that big amount of money to buy from other country. Look I know president will not allow it because he still wants us to vote for him in 2015 full stop. |
A-ZeD: |
I appreciated the opinion all contributors on this thread. I have asked my mechanic. He gave me only three brands to stick to namely toyota, honda and nissan. I am not really concern with bogus car but only that which will serve me well with little or no trouble and also available in US because somebody wants to send one to one to me |
Thank you all for your contributions. I enjoin all the mechanic friends in house to lend in their own advice. |
Trac: My mistake. I mistook the Sharan for the Routan. I've never seen a Sharan.. What are the two types and which of them is good to drive in nigeria. |
I have somebody in US who promise to get me one family car with the exception of sienna because of high cost. Do you know other family car in US that is reliable and durable apart from honda odyssey that is good for nigeria road and has cheap running cost. |
chucky234: Dodge Cavaran and Ford Windster are both durable and affordable.. Are they reliable and relatively free from problems. |
ping2ping: I want to suggest this vehicle but i'm not sure if you can get it at your budget of N1m. I am still waiting for your suggestion. |
The use of dodge and ford cars are not common in nigeria especially dodge probably because of maintenance cost and low reliability. Please I need more counseling on this to avoid falsehood in the forum. |
Thank you for your suggestion. What about their running cost. Are they almost problem free and parts cheap and readily available? |
Thanks for the info |
Highly grateful to all your contributions. We are six in my family. Mention the name of the car and price. Does anybody knows the car that look like toyota sienna with wind down window? |
God will hear your cry as you try to clear my doubt. One of the commentS said sienna is functional, honda odyssey is ellegant and vw sharan is durable. Please I need more clarification on this. Do you mean in term of reliability and durability vw sharan is number one of them all? Again I saw one toyota yesterday that look like sienna with passenger wind down windows, unfortunately no name was written at the back of the bus. Sirs do you any of model of toyota like sienna with that kind of feature? Once again thank you all for your responses. However I am still expecting the comments of the ogas at the top like Ikenna and Sienna. |
Don't mind my grammatical errors, I use my bb to type it while in a bus. But I believe the message is clear, if not, feel free to ask question. |
You are entitle to your opinion. Accepting christ into the heart is done after repentance and believe(trust) in Him. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12). It is when you that you received. You receive into something. But this time into the heart. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9,10). In "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (Ephesians 2: we know that salvation is the gift of God. In IIcor 5: 17 quoted is us to see a change of heart or attitude in person who received christ. Whether person who received Him into his heart backslide is not anybody business because p people who received, believed or trusted Himself during His earthly ministrations and that of his apostles backslide. Christ Himself said the first the first shall be the last. Please refrain ourselves from saying what will hinder the preaching of the gospel. If we are not clear with any in the bible we free to ask from pastors otherwise we make ourselves a false teacher. |
Please I am still for your response. Remember your little comment now can save me and many of future agony. |
