A friend chose UNI - IBADAN (economics)

The number of aspirants is more than 4k and she scored 200 in UTME

she's thinking of changing course to less competitive course due to that her score, what are the courses you guys think she can change to. thanks.

U.I jamb cutoff mark is 200, U.I does not use and is not concerned about aggregate(Jamb result + p-utme/ 2 or 4).U.I is only concerned about p-utme score and good ssce result. If ur friend can work hard towards a high score and making the merit list, then she can go ahead, if not she can change her course to some courses like psychology, Educational management, Economics Education, Adult education, Guidiance and counselling and so on. Such courses have low aspirants(check jamb stats on U.I).She can also cross-over from Econs related courses to Economics if she is ready to make a first class in year one. Had the same experience last year with the same course.

lol.....i paid #7,500 for mine and yet my name is not yet out. Instead of waiting till God knws wen, was wat prompt me to obtain anoda jamb form to be on the safer side.

Yeah, some uni will not accept. some poly product no matter d grade the person graduated with. That is why federal poly candidates are more admitted

I agree with u on that. The challenge am having is the Jamb reg no& regularisation. My former poly charged #10k, can u imagine?

Can u imagine the amount i was asked to pay in my former poly for Jamb registration no and regularization? #10k?

Ok, Thanks, but that of reputation, i fear o because have applied to OAU before, no admission given. I was given assurance that since the poly and the uni is situated in the same state(Ogun state), admission is 80% sure.

Futa dont usually disclose pume cut off but the general utme cut off is likely to be 180. About the pume time, it would be around june/july. If you need the past questions, let me know.

Pls do someone need to get Jamb result scratch card before checking result on Jamb website? I tried using my Jamb utme reg card, it's saying 'the pin and serial no is invalid'.

Yes, those questions i answered when i logged in were marked, i have my result now. Concerning ur submission, it could be network failure becos i submitted 3 minutes to my alloted time. did u call the attention of the invigilator? If not, hmm, i don't really know but i think u have to complain at any Jamb Office near u.

Well, i did mine today and during my answering of questions, the computer logged me out and i log in back according to instructions given by the invigilator. My advice is anything u do not understand call on the attention of the invigilator.

U will need 2 combine ur result in order 2 register 4 D.E because d. O'level result u register with wen u ar in OND will reflect in ur transcript

is it compulsory to use the same SSCE result used for ND to register for D.E?

Had 240 last year when I thought I should have gotten 280+.
There came FUTA's incredibly/corruptly high aggregate at end of the day.....

Some scored lower than me, but cushioned it with their hot Jamb scores..

What was the course u choose then?

This is not just scoring of grade...This is test of abilities!
The more difficult questions you answer correctly...the better your chances of getting having great scores...

Item response theory won't minimize or curb guessing at all but it would sure separate the sheep from the pack of wolves.

Yes, it is true. I wanted to apply for accounting in ABU but later found out about the info.

Yes,I chose fisheries from the scratch. if you do not meet up with the cut off marks for the course you chose ,there will be change of course and you will fill in for the available course that match your jamb subject combination and o'level requirements.

Hmm..., maybe this explains the reason (sticking to a course without changing it) why i have not been given admission yet. I scored 76 in the putme, applied for Economics and later changed to Accouting.

I heard it also depend on the universities recognising/approving polytechnics for admission through D.E. How true is this?
