Hi Solax,

For STeDe, the interview was mainly conducted in French for selected candidates from English-speaking countries and vice versa to test your knowledge of a second language. Also, the panel comprised three representatives from the participating universities. Questions asked included why you chose the particular course, how you intend to contribute to sustainable development in your country etc.

I hope this is helpful...as long as your knowledge of the French language is presently above average and not rusty like mine, I believe you should be fine. Good luck with your interview!

The request is for a research proposal of your prospective
MA thesis which should include all references cited.

guys, please look into this, I was about applying to M.A. European Studies at The University of Regensburg and they request for this "a thesis-driven academic essay (including works cited) in English of 12,000-15,000 characters including blanks. Please note: The topic will be posted on the American Studies website (here!) by April 15" do they mean my BA thesis? like that 61 pages minimum? or they expect me to write/ compose a new thesis for the MA? just like ML? and yes I mailed the school for clarification but they are yet to reply.

Sure, I did inform them while responding to the interview email...but when one of the panel members asked me why I looked a bit uncomfortable during the interview, I knew the consortium coordinator hadn't informed them. Anyway, God knows best.

But you should have informed the Panel with evidences that you did that you are not feeling fine. Perhaps they will understand and favour you accordingly.

I sent certified copies of the application form, CV, bio-data page of international passport, motivation letter, degree certificates and transcripts, French certificates (to certify knowledge of second language). I didn't send reference letters because the information on the application form stated that it wasn't required at this stage.

I did! Any news yet? Saw a tweet on the selection committee meeting in Jo'burg on the 15th.

I also applied for STeDe...was part of the 30 shortlisted for an interview (It didn't go so well as I just had a major surgery about a week prior), but I'm on the waiting list. Anyone else applied for STeDe?
