Properties / Why Your Current Home Is No More A Home by Adelakstaichi(m): 9:43am On Jul 14, 2019
Sometime in January 2018, the Lagos State government commenced a major BRT LANE project from Tollgate to Oshodi and the outcome of that project so far has caused a major inconvenience for Lagosians especially those working at ikeja. Traffic that could last 3 hours which has turned a 30 minute journey to a 4 hour journey. Lagosians are tired and really are confused on what to do.

However, in life, I believe planning is the most important aspect of a man's life. If our government could not plan their projects well, we citizens should have done better. Most Lagosians obviously including the government did not envisage how this will affect the citizens. This is because if Lagosians had done a critical thinking, we should have seen that our CURRENT HOME IS NO MORE A HOME.

I believe a home should be a place of relaxation. A place where you are eager to go to.
A place that is within reach and easy access.

Based on that definition, I believe every commuter from tollgate to Oshodi no longer lives in a home. That is why it is not too late to make a decision to find your new home and plan accordingly.

How?

One location very few people have exploited in Lagos is Ibeju-lekki and I believe is the new home for any forward looking Nigerian.

Ibejulekki is becoming a major business hub in Africa and it currently houses four major internationally recognized and patronized business opportunities in the world today.

Look into the future and you will see your current home is not a home especially not with the stress you go through everyday in traffic. You have the power to plan the next 30 years of your life by finding your new home.

Don't think it's okay if you spend 3 hours in that traffic everyday for the next 25 years just because you want to keep that job. Because that is not even guaranteed.

However, you can plan for the future. Think of how you can get a better comfort from your next job?

How?
Develop your capacity for your next Job/business opportunity

Be focused on that goal and give yourself a deadline to achieve that goal that will bring an end to your current challenge.
Invest in your new home by getting a landed property closer to your target job/business location

But HOW?

Think Ibeju-lekki

Always here to cheer you on because Nigerians deserve a better life in Nigeria

Your dad is absolutely right.
i bought a piece of land for 25,000. i had no intention of buying the said land then. infact, i was forced to buy against my wish.
I'm yet to develop it and potential buyers are already pricing it for almost 2 mil.

just like your dad said anywhere you see land Buy o but try as much as you can not to be scammed

Chai, na wa oooo. Do you know he also bought a land at Abule Odu, Faith bus stop, Lagos. The land shares boundary with NNPC filling station and Zenith Bank Idimu branch. He bought in 2005 for N1.8 million then. Baba, that land is nothing less than 50 million naira now. And am selling landed properties ranging from N300k to 5 million most of them around Ibeju Lekki and someone is there contemplating whether to invest or not.
I just dey shake my head grin

Late last month cum earlier this month (July) i had a little fiasco with my father who was not happy by the way i handled my move out of his house. I recently moved out of his house and didn't wait for him to get back from his numerous trip before i left. I and my twin brother only told him on phone and left My father did not call me for 5 days because of this and he was known for calling his children. Anyway we resolved our differences one early Monday morning but this is not why am posting this. One of the reason my father was against my move was because of the distance and he said something profound while discussing with us (i mean myself and my twin brother). He said I am not disputing the fact that you guys are not old enough to cater for yourself and i have thought about this. One of the mistakes i made in life was not buying Landed properties in locations shown to me some years ago. Now this time my father was advising us and he said in conclusion, NO WHERE IS BUSH. He does not care where the bush is, he would buy it. This is because investing in landed properties is one of the best investment decision you can make in your life time.

And am deep into real estate and have seen how it works. The beauty about real estate in this era is that you don't have to break the bank to invest. Its simple, do your due diligence and nobody will scam you. Even though there are scammers everywhere, its normal but it is advisable not to lose sight of the genuine ones. See it this way, in the future don't let your children ask you this question daddy when your mates were buying land, what where you doing?

I rest my case

Business / Does A Freelance Tax Consultant Require Any License To Operate. by Adelakstaichi(m): 11:25am On Oct 06, 2016
Hi guys,
I recently came in contact with a freelance tax consultant who works at an audit firm but does freelance service by the side. I need to know if he needs a license to operate as a freelance tax consultant since he is Chartered. He offers to do a good job for us but all letters issued out for the purpose of his job will be in the company's letter head paper since he is not a registered company but a consultant.
