A Nigerian lady named Vera Udechukwu, who resides in Ghana with her Nigerian husband, has been killed barely two weeks after her traditional wedding in August. This sad story was shared by a Facebook user Onyebuchi Ememanka, who is demanding an inquiry into what could have led to the death of the young lady. In his post shared on Facebook tagged “WHO KILLED MISS VERA UDECHUKWU?”, the Onyebuchi said Vera was found dead in her husband’s apartment in Ghana on September 10th and up till now, no one knows the cause of her death as the husband is currently on the run. Read what was posted online below; “Ladies and gentleman, In the interest of justice and public safety, I am compelled to make this sad story public. I simply could not stomach it. The story was brought to my attention by a friend and I am convinced that the public should know about it and be on guard. Miss Vera Udechukwu is, sorry, was an indigene of Oba in Anambra State. She was 24 years old. She met and fell in love with a young man called Jerry Ugochukwu Ohale, an indigene of Urualla, Ideato in Imo State. The guy is based in Ghana. They decided to get married. Late August this year, they did their traditional wedding at Oba and the girl joined the husband in Ghana immediately after and they started planning their white wedding. Then tragedy struck! Barely two weeks after the traditional wedding, precisely on the 10th of September 2017, Vera was murdered in cold blood. The Ghana Police authorities discovered her body and managed to establish contact with her family in Nigeria. The family was contacted the next day, September 11, 2017. The intriguing part is that the husband, Jerry, is nowhere to be seen. The Police in Ghana has since launched a manhunt for him. They suspect he has fled Ghana and returned to Nigeria. Preliminary investigations by the Ghana Police show that the girl was brutally tortured to death. She was killed in the most gruesome circumstances. Many questions arise. Who killed this young lady? Could it be her husband? Why is the guy on the run? Why has he disappeared? Meanwhile, the girl’s family is naturally distraught. They don’t understand how their daughter whom they barely gave out in marriage barely few weeks ago is now dead. As we speak, the family is battling to retrieve the corpse of their daughter from the Police in Ghana and send the body home to Nigeria for burial. Sadly, the girl’s family is not even sure of what their in-law does for a living. Their daughter simply told them that he is an international businessman. Please share this post. Let it go viral. Let the world hear this story. Let’s put the murderer under pressure. The family has requested that any person who sees the guy anywhere should immediately contact the Police. Meanwhile, my apologies for the gory pictures. I just couldn’t help it. May God bring justice to the murderer of this young girl whose only offence was to agree to marry someone who lives “abroad”. Finally, dear young lady…you…yes, you. That guy who lives abroad that you lose sleep over…yes, that one you call everyday…sends you money…do you know him well? What does he do for a living?”

Mrs.Attah, a 28 year-old housewife, has been sentenced to death by hanging for a grievous crime. She was sentenced to death by a Delta State High Court, sitting in Effurun, for stabbing her husband, Pastor Darlington Attah, with a kitchen knife and setting him ablaze. She was pronounced guilty on the one-count charge proffered against her by Justice E.I. Oritsejafor. According to The News, the Prosecution Counsel, Patrick Mekako Esq, told the Court that the accused who was married the deceased, with four children, had on 6 July, 2012 at Effurun attacked her husband with a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the neck as a result of an alleged phone call from the husband’s lover. He further told the Court that the accused was infuriated by the telephone call at a time they were having a ‘nice time’ which prompted her to rush to the kitchen, collected the knife and armed herself with grounded pepper which she rubbed on her husband’s face to immobilize him before stabbing him in the neck. Not satisfied, the convict doused the husband who was already weak as a result of excessive bleeding with fuel and set him ablaze and he later died at the Warri Central Hospital where he was rushed to. The offence is punishable by death under Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code Law, Cap C21, Volume 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006. Delivering the death sentence on the convict, Justice Oritsjafor, held that the Prosecution was able to prove beyond all reasonable doubt the essential ingredients of the offence of murder against the accused person. “From the evidence before this Court and in particular the extrajudicial statement of the accused person, Exhibit A and the evidence of PW1 and PW2 which corroborates and is consistent with the facts contained in the said extrajudicial statement Exhibit A, I hold that the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that the accused person murdered her deceased husband on or about the 6th day of July, 2012, and I find the accused person guilty of the murder of Darlington Attah as charged. Accused person is accordingly, hereby convicted of the offence of murder. The sentence of this Court upon you, Mary Attah is death by hanging by the neck till you be dead and may the Lord have mercy on your soul,” Justice Oritsejafor held. |

New Deadly Disease Worse Than HIV That Condoms Can't Stop Unmarried men too seem to prefer condoms as the popular method to protect against STIs. But for a virus whose disease has no symptoms, the inefficacy of condoms allows for faster and wider spread, especially amongst those with multiple sex partners. The only 100 per cent effective way to prevent HPV transmission is abstinence from any sexual contact, including oral, anal, and vaginal sex. See also: Morning after:That ‘oops’ moment when women’s emergency pills backfire Since abstinence may not be a realistic option, Dr Mugo advises remaining monogamous while in a relationship, vaccination and screening for women. Women can also pass viruses without having any symptoms. But the chance of females infecting men is estimated at less than five per cent of the rates of male-to-female transmission. There are more than 100 types of HPV and about 13 of these are cancer causing, with HPV types 16 and 18 causing approximately 70 per cent of all cervical cancers worldwide. Sadly, it’s physically difficult to tell whether your partner has the HPV virus unless they have private part warts, yet those who do not have visible signs can also spread the virus. The other interesting aspect of this particular virus is that you do not need to have sex for it to be passed on from one person to another. The virus is found in the flora of the man-hood, scrotum, vagina, vulva or anus of a person who has the HPV. One can get infected through kissing or touching an infected sex organs or through MouthAction. Since cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among adult women, in the developing world, and the second most common cancer among women worldwide, preventive measures include getting a pap smear for women and/or getting vaccinated. Better still, it’s important that you be honest with your partner about your sex history. Immunizing all girls before becoming sexually active ideally aged nine to 13 years in order to lower the risk of HPV took off in Kenya under a pilot project in Kitui County in 2013, targeting 20,000 girls
