Please, so back to do and request for combined hormone (estrogen + progestrone)

Hi Doc..I've not mensturated since january. I was given gynecosid after the doc tested that I wasn't pregnant.. Could it be infection or what?

Alright. Gyencosid is estrogen only pill. You need a both progesterone and estrogen. Go back to your doctor and ask for combined oral contraceptive. You need both hormones to regulate your period properly.

First, get a pregnancy test and confirm non pregnant state. Assuming, not pregnancy, then:

You have secondary amenorrhea then. There are many causes that you need to rule out. Get a TSH and prolactin levels at some point to rule out thyroid problems and high prolactin.

But, let's say it's purely hormonal imbalance.

gynecosid is an estrogen. Are you still taking this taking this drug?

You need a proper balance of estrogen and progestrone to get back to your normal bleeding.

You are getting constant estrogen without bleeding, you may be progestrone deficient. Go to your doctor and ask for a medroxyprogestrone. You should get a withdrawal bleed within 7 days, if you don't, then seek for a combination of estrogen/progestrone contraceptive.

. I only took a dose of gynecosid..and six days later i had my normal menstrual cycle. And I'm very sure am not pregnant

And how old are you?

I am 25y/o. I mean my menstrual cycle is no longer frequent.. It skips for 1 or even two months..I went to see a doctor. And he prescribed gynecosid..dat was january. And until now I've not seen my period.

And how can dis be stopped?

What's the major cause of irregular periods??
