Thank you for your response. I called them today and they said it was a general issue and it's been escalated. Preator: You already booked an appointment with them before( even if unpaid)? Call them to delete that one and you'll be able to apply. |

6 months visa alert for my retired mum!!! She went for her biometrics at Ikeja on the 5th of January, and we got an email/SMS notification that her passport was ready for collection on the 12th of January.
This is her second time applying for the U.K visa, the last time was in 2019, and she travelled with my dad for a work Conference at the time. I assisted her with the application and chose the self-upload option, and these were the documents I provided.
Passport document(I scanned all the pages of her passport as instructed on the VFS page) Past visa(Expired U.K visa) and existing visas (She has a valid U.S & Canadian visitor's visa) Home ownership document and Utility bill National ID card Hotel reservation My dad is her sponsor, he has a business and also lectures so I provided his Bank statement, Bank reference, CAC documents, Tax clearance, (Business), Work ID, Letter of employment (Lecturing) Sponsor's passport data page and existing visas (he has a valid U.S & Canadian visitor's visa too) Her Bank statement and Pension statement Letter of explanation of her finances for huge amounts Reference letter from her bank Marriage Certificate, Wedding Pictures, & Family pictures Pictures from their last trip to the U.K. Cover letter/Self-introductory letter Sponsor's letter stating he will be bearing all the cost of the trip Proof of application Degree Certificate (wasn't necessary, I was just being extra) |

Alright, I'll do just that. Thank you! davodyguy: Which one be Yoruba na?
What of those that can't speak Yorùbá? Ejowo óo
Anyway, there's someone here that was denied Italy Visa just because he didn't show up at the embassy after he returned back to Nigeria.
You're very correct.
Once that caveat is there, make sure you come back to the TLS or Embassy upon your return |

I tried again on Wednesday and it worked, I was able to schedule an appointment for 12 noon and picked up my passport today. The whole process was pretty fast as I didn't spend more than 20 minutes at the OIS office. Zeni06: Hi. Any luck with this issue? Please use the chrome browser as some browsers don't work properly with the website and use desktop version if you're using your phone. From the screenshot, it means you've been able to check your status and all. Just select country, select city (VI, Lagos for OIS pickup) select OIS under type and book your appointment. Let me know how it goes. |

I am unable to go past this page after verifying that my passport is ready for pick up. Can you kindly assist on what action to take? Zeni06: My interview was on the 5th of December, when I got home I checked the status and it showed "Approved". On the 6th the Status changed to "Issued". I proceeded to check for my passport on OIS website and it kept showing "passport not ready for pickup" until yesterday morning when I checked and it showed "passport ready for pickup". I filled out the necessary information and booked a pick up for this morning. Thankfully pick up is free till the 31st of December. Hope this answers your question.

Thank you so much for your response. I already picked a date in Lagos for December. OyoTunjiUSA: 🤠
1. Yes if the system allows and accept your booking. But you must go and fill another Lagos- oriented DS -160 to match up. Then take both new and old DS-160s along on the day of your appointment.

Your dom card for which bank please? I have tried 2 foreign and 2 local USD cards and it keeps failing.
It's so sad because I may have to forfeit the money paid to First Bank since i am not able to proceed beyond verifying the payment. |
