Possibly the simplest instrument to trade. I trade it on the 1H, plot my S/R on the 4H and use a 20SMA as a filter, chikena. Oh, also make sure your candle stick knowledge is up to date grin

Pls advise, what strategy do use for trading DJIA?

I am humbled.

naijababe:

Look for US30, that is the symbol on FXCM's MT4. I dunno what other brokers use.

Naijababe,

naijababe:

Mama, Yes, XM is a 5 digit broker I know

naijababe:

Which really mean a spread of 4.4, your broker is also a 5 digit broker.
Business / Re: Forex Trading - Season 15 by adeniyia33(m): 2:45pm On Mar 30, 2015
The 1st thing to know b4 setting an order is ur spread. Even as I punch these keys, GJ spread stood at 44

naijababe:

Do you know what spread is? Besides, it is not 30 pips but 3 pips. Your broker is a 5 digit broker.

iheanyiebeneze:
I THINK THIS WILL HELP SOMEONE.

Five Habits of Successful Traders

1. Know your rules and stick to them

We’re regularly told about the importance of having a trading plan … and sticking to that plan. Your plan doesn’t have to be restricted to technical indicators – you can add in time-based factors, and rule out trades when markets are too choppy, or too flat, when spreads are too wide, or when a major announcement is imminent.

But when it doesn’t fit exactly, don’t feel that you have to ‘make something up’ to fit this special situation that’s arisen – don’t be afraid to just sit out.
That’s the thing with ‘special’ one-off situations – they just don’t happen often enough for us to gather data to make any kind of reasoned case for or against action.

If the set-up isn’t perfect, don’t risk your cash.

2. Know the strengths and weaknesses of your system

Every trading strategy has things that it’s good at spotting, and flaws where it comes up short.

We can spend our time forever adding new indicators to try to plug these gaps, but no indicator is perfect, and we’ll end up with a bank of criteria that will never let us into the market!

Instead, if we know where our system’s weak spot it (perhaps it’s when we have a strong, extended trend … or when prices are range bound …), then we can either add criteria to try to protect us from these bad trades, or we can introduce risk-reduction measures to limit our exposure.

Again, don’t be afraid to sit out.

3. Hone in on the best trading times

With all trading – but especially with automated trading – the temptation is to get as many trades as we can.
Surely the more we trade, the richer we’ll become?
So, if trading involves nothing more than flicking my computer on … I could be raking it in 24/7 … right?
Wrong.
Focusing on the most profitable trading times can be one of the quickest and easiest ways to filter out duff trades, and hone in on the best ones.

4. Give your trades time to mature … but don’t leave them hanging on …

Time is a crucial component in trading that is too often ignored.

5. Keep monitoring, keep improving …

Just because we’ve got our rules and our system sorted, doesn’t mean that we can just sit back for the next 10 years and watch the profits roll in.

Markets change … what worked a treat in the bull market you developed it during, might start coming apart at the scenes when the market tops out … or what pulled in great profits in a volatile market, might struggle in quieter times …

As traders, we must always try to stay ahead, because the markets will take any chance they can to get the better of you!

I’m hoping that you’ll have noticed a theme running through these habits … it’s that we shouldn’t be afraid to sit out of trades. The fundamental habit that sets successful traders apart is not that they have winners (any mug can do that) … it’s that they seriously limit their losers.

Thanks ,
more pipsss .

All u need is the ability to FOLLOW THE PRICE ANYWHERE THE PRICE GOES (learn price action) as for the timing I will recommend London session and if u dont mind, upload ur email address and I will send u a dox on fx timing and sessions

Consider PRICE AS THE MASTER, FOLLOW IT ANYWHERE, THEN, U WILL BE AT PROFIT

It is well

toxco:

Thank you very much, have done that and I think am OK about the demo trading, what I need is how to know which pair of currency am I going to trade and time to trade them, I don't know sites to get the real information about the market, because I know people do visit sites to get information.
Business / Re: Forex Trading - Season 15 by adeniyia33(m): 12:33pm On Mar 17, 2015
Hello Boss, with respects to guru on Naira Land, FX is a market that requires training and stable mindset. All u need is dont rush into a real account (practicing with real money). Open a DEMO account with any of the brokers around with a reasonable amount of virtual money e.g. btw $500 - $1000. All experiences u can gather from the demo could then be transferred to the REAL ACCOUNT. DO NOT OPEN A REAL ACCOUNT UNTIL U ARE ABLE TO TRADE PROFITABLY ON UR DEMO ACCOUNT.

Also remember that, FX is not a get rich quick (ref. to 12ema fx Aler 14). So if u need quick money dont come to forex...

I will recommend www.babypips,.com for your training

Best of lucks

Boss,
It really help me.. Thanks for sharing the truth. God bless u PIPly

iheanyiebeneze:
Forex market trade LEVELS (RESISTANCE and SUPPORT), entering at these levels will make you PRAGMATIC and PROFITABLE trader, because you are sure that when the market goes against you, it will SURE come back to the level you entered it, this allows you to either exit at breakeven or at least small profit.
Sometimes SUPPORT turns RESISTANCE or RESISTANCE turns SUPPORT , before the trend continues.Thats why its good to enter at these levels.

Hope this will help someone.
Business / Re: Forex Trading - Season 15 by adeniyia33(m): 4:46am On Mar 10, 2015
Thank you boss. Will act accordingly

Kashif:

If you need education on the bolded, PLEASE DO NOT OPEN A $1,500 account. You will surely lose it. $$$$ is expensive now biko!! Do demo more, and if you cannot control the impulse to go live, trade a micro account with $100 max.
