Workers in Osun State have declared their intention to begin an indefinite strike following the refusal of the state government to revert to paying them full salary and arrears despite the receipt of the third tranche of N6.3 billion Paris Club loan refund.

The workers under the umbrella of the Osun State Joint Public Service Negotiating Council gave the strike notice in a statement issued on Friday following an emergency meeting of labour leaders on Thursday.

The notice of strike was signed by the Chairman JPSNC, Bayo Adejumo; Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Tunde Adekomi and the Trade Union Congress Chairman, Bowale Adekola and leaders of various affiliate unions.

The notice read in part, “Consequent upon the refusal of the government of Osun State to accede to the demands of the workers and pensioners as contained in our letter of Tuesday, December 5, 2017, the workers of Osun State will be proceeding on an indefinite strike by 27th December , 2017.”

The labour leaders enjoined the workers to stay at home until they received another directive from them concerning the strike.

The labour leaders had on Tuesday disagreed with Governor Rauf Aregbesola over his insistence on paying November salary with the modulated scheme which makes workers from grade level 08 and above collect between 75 and 50 per cent of their salaries.

The workers had insisted that the state had the financial ability to pay them full salaries, saying most of them had been collecting half salaries since September 2015. But the governor in a statement issued by his Commissioner for Information, Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, pleaded that they should exercise more patience till the state was able to revert to paying full salary.

Tertiary institutions like University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) and University of Ibadan (UI) have released their 2017/2018 admissions merit list. Obafemi Awolowo University has also released hers.

This was confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE in a meeting with an officer of the admissions office. The officer who spoke on behalf of the Admissions officer, Kehinde Idowu, made it known that the office has sent the merit list to the various departments.

The Federal Government has approved the sum of N400 billion for infrastructural development and provision of basic needs for Nigerian universities in line with its plans to make them meet international standards.

President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) Comrade Samson Ugwoke stated this at the weekend while addressing union members at SSANU’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the University of Abuja.

Ugwoke said document on the approval will be made available today at the meeting of the Presidential Committee on Implementation of the needs assessment in the universities with the leaders of SSANU, National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

While briefing members on the activities of the Governor Gabriel Suswam’s led universities needs assessment implementation committee, Ugwoke said the mentioned sum is different from the N100 billion Governor Suswam has raised to tackle the problems of Nigerian universities in the year 2013.

Let me give you a tip of what the Needs Assessment Committee is doing. The President has approved that within the next

four years, N400 billion would be expended in infrastructural development of Nigerian universities to transform the universities to international standard.

“N100 billion has been raised by Suswam Committee; he has done that already. Sixty one universities have been pencilled down as contained in the Needs Assessment Committee report. These 61 universities will share the N100 billion in various categories which include refurbishing and renovation of lecture theatres and lecture halls, refurbishing and renovation of laboratory/library and the renovation of hostels.

“The second category is building of new hostels of international standard; self-contain rooms, the latest model in the world. That is the standard to be built in every university, and also the state of the art laboratories as well as classrooms, lecture theatres and the halls,” Ugwoke said.
Speaking of welfare of members, Ugwoke said: “I know that our members will be saying that what does the committee says about our members. I can assure you that our members will never be relegated, they will never be sacked or retrenched, there is nothing like that in the terms of reference of the Presidential Committee on the Implementation of Needs Assessment.”

The Academic Staff Union of
Polytechnics has said it will embark on
strike with effect from November 13 ,
2017 to press for the implementation
of its agreement with the government .
It accused the government of treating
polytechnic education with disdain
and levity .
Rising from an emergency meeting on
Monday in Abuja, the ASUP National
President, Usman Dutse , said his union
would commence an indefinite strike
after the expiration of its earlier 21
days ultimatum .
He noted that the conciliatory meeting
organised by the Federal Ministry of
Labour failed to produce a positive
result “ because the Ministry of
Education was not interested in
resolving the dispute.”
The ASUP leader also accused the
government of using endless
verification to delay the payment of
entitlements of members of the union .
He stated that the union was not
against the verification , but he added
that it should not be used to deny
workers their rights .
He said that despite the 21 days ’ notice
given to the government, it did not
consider it necessary to address the
demands for an improved funding of
polytechnic education in the country .
Dutse said , “ Our union is therefore
constrained to lament again that our
sector is on the verge of collapse and
needs all the emergency attention it
deserves.
“ Until now , it should be noted that the
issues raised here today have been
there since 2014 and none of them has
since been concretely resolved to
improve the sector .”
He identified the issues to include non -
implementation of the NEEDS
assessment report which
recommended the injection of N6 .5
billion into the polytechnic education
in 2014 , adding that this has risen to
about N 8 bn now .
He also mentioned the non- passage of
the Amendment Bill of the
Polytechnics Act.
“ The delay and indifference to the
passage of this bill is viewed as a ploy
to fester chaos and continued crises in
the sector ,” Dutse stressed .

If you were privileged to be raised in a typical Yoruba family and you were so privileged to have an older sibling (male or female), then we must definitely have shared a similar experience of calling those older siblings ‘brother/aunty’ while growing up. Well, that’s the beauty of our indigenous languages which, unlike the English language, boast of peculiar lexemes for honorifics with which we show politeness to elders. For example in Yoruba, we can have a reply such as: Won jade (They (HE) went out) to the question ‘where is your DAD’, where ‘won’ (they, a plural pronoun) serves as a respect marker for an elderly male individual (the dad- singular noun).
Unfortunately, the English language performs poorly in the concept of honorifics; hence, many may see the language as lacking in ways of showing whether we are polite or not. Permit me to disagree with you on this because our lexical (word) choices during conversations using the English language medium really show how polite we are.
Basically, we see politeness as a form of respecting elders, and even peers. Politeness ensures a good relation with your listener or reader. There are several strategies we can adopt to show politeness during conversations. Let us just pick TWO for now:
1. Indirectness: This is the strategy used to appear not to be too direct when we speak or write. It is achievable in a number of different but related ways:
a. Using HEDGES: Hedges are softening words which make a speaker appear as respecting the feelings and face of the hearer(s). So how does this work? Let’s see these examples:
INSTEAD OF SAYING: Turn down the volume of that radio
SAY: Do you mind turning down the volume of that radio
INSTEAD OF SAYING: It’s cold in here. Let’s close the window
SAY: It’s kind of cold in here, isn’t it? Could we close the window?
b. Using MODALS: Modal verbs convey specific kinds of meaning, one of which is to show politeness in conversations. Certain modal verbs, especially their past forms (could, might, should and would), are used to show us as being more polite or less direct. We often do this when we ask for something or ask someone to do something:
INSTEAD OF SAYING: Solve this question for me.
SAY: Could you take a look at this question and help solve it?
INSTEAD OF SAYING: Do not address an elderly person in that manner
SAY: You should not be addressing an elderly person in that manner
INSTEAD OF SAYING: Daddy, I need a new laptop
SAY: Daddy, would you please buy me a new laptop
c. Using PAST TENSE: Sometimes, we change the tense of the verb from the present to past form even when referring to a present time. This is mostly done with verbs such as: hope, think, wonder. For example:
I WAS WONDERING if you COULD tell me how to operate this machine.
I THOUGHT you might want to rest for a while.
2. Honorifics: Basically, honorifics are the words or phrases used to show respect to someone of higher status. Like I said earlier, the English language, unlike our indigenous languages, has a limited vocabulary for honorifics. However, you can use the following
Sir/Madam: I wouldn’t mind more explanation on this sir
Titles- when this is used, make sure you complement the title with THE SURNAME of the person so referred. For instance, Professor Odekunle (not Professor Kehinde)
In conclusion, words like ‘please’ and ‘sorry’ can also be used as markers of showing respect or showing how polite we are when in conversation with people older than us. You MIGHT want to check your dictionary for possible ways of using them.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has urged the Federal High Court in Lagos not to order the return of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.
The anti-graft agency described Diezani’s prayer to be brought back to Nigeria as a ploy to escape justice in the UK, where, according to the EFCC, she is being investigated for several financial crimes by the Metropolitan Police.
According to the commission, investigation by the Metropolitan Police in Diezani’s case had reached an advanced stage and her prosecution in the UK was imminent.

It, therefore, said it would not be in the interest of justice to grant Diezani’s application seeking to return to Nigeria.
The EFCC said this in a counter-affidavit it filed in opposition to Diezani’s application before Justice Rilwan Aikawa, wherein she is seeking an order compelling the Attorney General of the Federation to facilitate her return to Nigeria.

In the said application, which she filed through her lawyer, Mr. Onyechi Ikpeazu, Diezani said she wished to appear before the Federal High Court in Lagos to defend a criminal charge bordering on alleged laundering of N450m, where her name was mentioned.
The main defendants in the charge are a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Belgore; and a former Minister of National Planning, Prof. Abubakar Suleiman.

But opposing the application, the EFCC, in a counter-affidavit deposed to by one of its operatives, Usman Zakari, explained that when it began investigation into the case involving Belgore and Suleiman sometime in 2015, Diezani spurned its invitations to explain her role and rather absconded the UK.

It said subsequent efforts by its operatives to interview her in London were blocked by her lawyer in the UK, John Binns of BCL Solicitors, who contended that Nigerian investigators could not interview her as she was outside Nigeria’s jurisdiction.
The EFCC said Diezani’s bid to now return to Nigeria was nothing but a ploy to escape justice having realised that her trial might soon begin in the UK.

Zakari said, “That the applicant, seeing that the investigation by the Metropolitan Police had reached advanced stage and that trial in the instant charge before this honourable court is proceeding smoothly, had designed the instant application to distract and scuttle both her investigation and imminent prosecution in the United Kingdom the trial before this honourable court.
“That the applicant, who knows full well that she is on bail in the United Kingdom where she is being investigated for several financial crimes, and that she would not be able to leave that country in view of the ongoing investigation and imminent trial, is seeking the order of this honourable court for the charge before this honourable court to be amended to include her name on the face of the charge in order for her to escape from investigation and prosecution in the United Kingdom under the guise that she is coming to face her trial before this honourable court and also to scuttle the trial before this honourable court.”

Arguing the counter-affidavit on Monday, the EFCC lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo, described Diezani’s application as a violent abuse of court processes and urged Justice Aikawa to reject same.

Belgore’s lawyer, Mr. Ebun Shofunde (SAN), also opposed Diezani’s application, contending that if the charge was amended to include Diezani’s name, the case would have to start afresh, a situation he described as unjust.
But Diezani’s lawyer, Ikpeazu, maintained that justice of the case demanded that her client should either be given the opportunity to defend herself or the charge sheet should be amended with her name being expunged.
Justice Aikawa adjourned till Wednesday for ruling.

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Babachir Lawal, as the Secretary of the Federation (SGF).

He has been replaced by Boss Mohammed.

This was contained in a statement sent to DAILY POST, by Buhari’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

It read: “President Muhammadu Buhari has studied the report of the panel headed by the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, which investigated allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir David Lawal, and the Director General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke.

“The President accepted the recommendation of the panel to terminate the appointment of Mr Lawal, and has appointed Mr Boss Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The appointment takes immediate effect.

“President Buhari also approved the recommendation to terminate the appointment of Ambassador Oke, and has further approved the setting up of a three-member panel to, among other things, look into the operational, technical and administrative structure of the Agency and make appropriate recommendations.”

Others members of the investigation panel were: the National Security Adviser, General Babagana Monguno (rtd) and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

President Muhammadu Buhari suspended Babachir and Oke on April 19.

The panel investigated allegations of violations of law and due process made against Lawal in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE), while it probed Oke on the discovery of huge cash by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in a residential apartment at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, for which NIA laid claim.

A Senate Committee on Humanitarian Crisis in the North-East, which had earlier found the suspended SGF culpable of alleged complicity in a N200million grass-cutting contract to clear “invasive plant species” in Yobe State, had demanded his resignation and prosecution.

After two goals in the space of a week won Alex Iwobi a lot of favour with fans of Arsenal and Nigeria, we’re looking at whether goals are necessary for the 21-year-old to be an important part of the Gunners’ first-team.

Before I get started, I think I need to point out that obviously an Iwobi scoring goals is better than one that isn’t. Just as Nacho Monreal is better when he’s scoring, or Jack Wilshere. When players do the job they’re in the team to do, and then score goals as well, that’s the ideal situation.

Arsène Wenger seemed to agree with this sentiment in a recent interview. He told his Brighton post-match press conference (via ESPN): “A player like him must score 10 goals, and he must as well give between six and 10 assists, and that’s what I want from him.

“He is the kind of player who has good availability, helps you a lot to get out of pressure and creates spaces. But what you want from him is final balls and goals as well.”

Adding goals would be a welcome addition to Alex’s game, so if Wenger can push him to convert more chances, that’s clearly a good thing. However, I wouldn’t drop Nacho or Jack if they didn’t score, and although Iwobi plays a forward role, I think he always has a part to play, scoring or not.

Iwobi contributes a lot more to the team than just goals and assists, and I think that’s something often overlooked by fans. After the goal against Brighton, and then the goal that qualified Nigeria for the World Cup against Zambia, Iwobi drew praise from fans on social media, with the added qualification that he has to keep scoring now.

But I’m not sure he does ‘have to’. Personally I’d play him either way. Last season, when Arsenal were at their best, before the Everton and Manchester City matches, Iwobi had only scored one goal in 10 matches, and yet the team were unbeaten in all 10.

Against Chelsea, in the third match of that run, Iwobi didn’t score or assist, but won man-of-the-match as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners. Whilst he wasn’t the one scoring or providing the goals, he was facilitating the play. For Theo Walcott’s goal, Iwobi found space behind the midfield and collected the ball from Özil. He played a one-two with the German, then executed a through-ball behind the defence for Hector Bellerín, who provided the assist.

No goal, no assist, but there’s no doubt the goal couldn’t have happened without him.

Iwobi executes these kinds of moves every time I watch him. He finds the space and receives the ball, often in tight areas. Then his first touch, decision making and eye for a pass do the rest. Other players get the ball in positions where they can score or assist because of him. The team retains possession where they’d otherwise lose it because of him.


In addition, you shouldn’t overlook the fact that Alex is an academy product. That fact alone helps in multiple ways. It means he has a connection to Arsenal greater than anyone who made the move for a big transfer fee and high wages. It means he goes down as a homegrown player on the squad lists, and makes him a role model for Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and the rest. It gives the fans someone to be proud to call their own.

So yes, I want Iwobi to score more, and I’m glad he’s been showing he can with the goals against Bayern and Benfica in pre-season, then Brighton and Zambia in his limited competitive appearances. But a team of eleven goalscorers wouldn’t win many matches, you need more than that.

In sports, substitutions are generally made to replace tired or injured players or to replace those who are not performing well. In relationships, the game of substitution is also played. Someone else is being used as a filler or to replace a significant other for a variety of reasons. Often, it is a game where the party involved doesn’t even know he/ she is playing it. The substitute boyfriend/girlfriend just seems to creep up on you like a habit you didn’t know you had. It doesn’t even matter whether one or both of you are in a relationship. Chances are it can still happen if you’re not careful.
At the outset, the said person just seems like a good friend-someone who gets you and that you really connect with but later on becomes a filler for a relationship in more ways than one. Let’s take a look at some of them

Characteristics of substitute partners

1. They are right beside you: Most often, the substitute partner is someone who you often come in close contact with. They might be your neighbors, flat mates or people you work with but they are people who you very likely have to see every day. The regular contact is usually the stimulus that plunges you into the relationship in the first place.

2. You make plans together both short term and long term: You find yourself hanging out a lot with this person whether it’s going to the movies, to have dinner or just to spend time together to talk over your day. Sometimes they fit you into their long term plans like ask you to go with them to their sister’s wedding coming up in three months or invite themselves to your social event at the end of the year as your escort.

3. People start regarding you as a couple: You have to answer embarrassing questions especially from your same sex friends. Endless teasing about how this person likes you and when you guys are going to start officially dating. Your explanations of your just being friends even begins to sound hollow to your ears.

4. You communicate throughout the day: Just like a regular relationship, you keep on communicating even when you’re apart for some hours whether it’s with phone, text or e-mail. If the other person has to travel even for a day, there are expressions of how much he/she misses you.
All in all, you guys act like you’re a couple! And at the back of your mind, you begin to believe that you really are a couple even though nothing has been said. Now that we have noted some of the characteristics of substitute partners, let’s examine why people have them in the first place.

Reasons for having substitute partners.

1. Loneliness: One party may be single and the friendship started out of a desire for companionship but rapidly progressed into something else yet there has been no mutual agreement for dating. Another scenario is that this person seems to be more readily available than the person you are actually in a relationship with. Some people started dating so early that being on their own terrifies them and they need someone to depend on so they don’t mind filling in with substitutes.

2. Greed: One or both of you may already have a partner and everything is going well in the relationship but you love the thrill of seeking for more out of plain greed. The truth is, no one person has it all. Even if both of you are single, you are doing yourselves a disservice by robbing the other of the opportunity to meet other potential partners.

3. Less communication with the real partner: Perhaps due to one problem or the other there is not enough communication with the real partner. There is something about good honest communication that keeps a relationship going. If it is not happening there might be the temptation to look for a substitute.

4. Long distance relationships: This increases the risk of it happening because if both partners are far apart physically, there is room for someone else who is much closer physically to fill up that need. This does not mean that everyone who is in a long distance relationship automatically has a substitute. 5. As filler for a breakup: After a breakup, the substitute game can be like a rebound thing. One party is hurt and feeling vulnerable and will accept any form of comfort that comes their way even from a substitute.

The real partner may dissolve the relationship. In the long run, playing the substitute game is never worth it. No one scores any goal or makes a touchdown. At the end of the day, a lot of energy and time has been invested in something that wasn’t meant to be. Never get tempted to play the substitute game. Stick with the player God has given you and try to fix whatever is broken. Chances are that’s when you’ll score a winning goal in the game of life.

Veteran gospel singer, Mama Dr Bola Are, is in a celebratory mood and the reason is not farfetched. This year marks the 40th year she released her evergreen hit song, ‘Baba Ku Ise,’ and she is not sparing anything to celebrate.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, the singer said all is set to mark the milestone achievement in her career next week Saturday in Ibadan. She revealed how the song has changed the lives of its listeners like a man who was once mad and some barren women as well. She said, “There was a time I went to Alapere, Lagos and I was singing my song, ‘Baba ku ise,’ there was someone around called Tawakalitu, who had been pregnant for about four and a half years. The Lord told me to keep singing the song because someone there was in bondage, so I continued. Shortly after, a lady fell down and on the third day, she was delivered of a baby girl whom was named Tosin. Three days ago, Tosin called. There was also a lady, Deborah, who was pregnant for about three years but the song served as a means of deliverance and she gave birth shortly after my ministration. Her child came to my church recently to visit me. This lady lives in Ketu, Lagos. There was also another day I was singing the song in the presence of Archbishop Idahosa at Olubadan Stadium many years ago and during my ministration, a man who had been mad for about 12 years named Gabriel was healed. The man rushed to the stage and everybody ran out of fear but the spirit of the Lord told me to be brave and stand my ground. He had got close to me but the Lord said I should keep singing and ask for his name. I listened to the instruction and immediately the mad man answered me, he began to cry; then he fell down. That was how he became sane again.”

Taking a trip down memory lane, the singer toldSaturday Beats how the Lord taught her the song in 1973 but she forgot the lyrics shortly after her trance. She said, “I was not the one that made that album, ‘Baba Ku Ise,’ about 40 years ago. What actually happened was that I was heading to work, Tewogbade and Sons Ltd. Ibadan, where I worked as a store keeper. I was passing through the house of the late Obafemi Awolowo when I heard a voice that commanded me to stop at the narrow path I was. The Lord gave me the song on the road at about 6:30am; it was as if I was in a trance because everyone who passed by me greeted me but I did not respond because I could not hear them. It was when the Lord was through teaching me the song that I was aware of my surrounding once again. After the encounter with the Lord, there was a woman passing by called Moji and I was instructed to tell her and her friend Grace, to pay me a visit at home at about 4pm that day. The lady came with her friend to my house later that day and we formed my first band. That day was June 26, 1973. Unfortunately, when I got to work, I had forgotten the song because I was not with a biro or paper and there was no recorder at that time. I began to cry at work, so when my Muslim bosses saw that my eyes were swollen, they asked why I was crying but I could not explain to them because they could not understand; so they asked me to go home and sort myself out.

“I left work and went to CAC Oke Iranti, Challenge, Ibadan. I met my Pastor, Kehinde, and when I explained what happened to him, he simply said that the Lord would send the song to me again after three months. Immediately he told me that, I began to fast and pray for three months before I was taught the song again. All through the period I was fasting, I always went to that CAC church during my lunch break. On the third month, the heavens taught me the song again and ever since then, you would hardly see me without a biro, paper or a recorder. That is how I got inspiration for the song.”

She implored all those looking for the fruit of the womb to ensure that they attend the event for blessing. She said the power-pack event would have many ministers of God ministering.

Mama Dr Bola Are said, “Those who do not know me would think I am only a singer but I am also a prophetic evangelist. It was the Lord that instructed me to celebrate forty years of the song’s existence. He had told me since May to celebrate this album and I am following his instructions. That day would be epic and my fans should expect miracles especially women who are looking up to God for the fruit of the womb.”

Just as you are typing the last words of your quarterly report, one of your keyboard keys starts sticking. Luckily, you have a few simple options available to clean out your keyboard. Sticky keys can happen because of dirt and debris in the keyboard, but they can also be a result of spilled drinks or other stickiness. Method 1:
Shaking out the keyboard
Unplug the keyboard. If you have a laptop, turn it off.
Turn the keyboard upside down. You can also hold it at an angle, as long as part of the keyboard is pointing towards the floor.
Gently shake the keyboard. Let the crumbs shake out to the floor or table.
Brush away any extra crumbs. If there’s trash on the keyboard, brush it away.
Check the keys again. See if they are working.
Method 2:
Blowing out the keyboard
Buy a can of compressed air. You can find it at almost any place where electronics are sold.
Turn the computer off. If you have a desktop, unplug the keyboard from the computer.
Use the air to gently blow around and under the keys. Don’t tilt the can, as it can pour out liquid.
Brush away any debris. If dirt or food is blown out, brush it away from the keyboard.
Try the keys again. See if the keys are unstuck.
Method 3:
Cleaning sticky keys
Wipe up any spills as they happen. If you spill a drink on your keyboard, unplug it and wipe it down.
Clean the keys with alcohol if the drink dries. Make sure the keyboard is unplugged first, or your laptop is powered down. If the spill is mostly on top of the keys, use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to clean the keys.
Rub the tops of the keys. Make sure they are free from stickiness.
Use the cotton swab to go around the edges. Going around the edges should help with sticky keys, as it releases the bottom part of the key from the keyboard.
Check to see if your keys are unstuck. Once the alcohol is dry, check your keys to see if they are better.
Method 4:
Removing keys to clean the keypad
Gently pry up the jammed key. Use a screwdriver or other flat instrument to get under the key, and pull up slightly on one of the edges. You can also use your nail.
If you are working on a laptop (whether PC or Mac), the key is held in place by a flimsy plastic clip, which also serves as the spring. The keys are attached in slightly different ways on each type of keyboard; so removing them will be different on each type. If you’re unsure if or how your laptop keys come off, consult your manual.
Das keyboards (called by their company the best mechanical keyboards on the market) should not be fixed by prying at the keys. They provide a special clip that will pop individual keys off of the keyboard.
Don’t remove all the keys at once, as you may have trouble remembering where they all go. Don’t do more than a couple at one time.
Carefully wipe the inside of the button and the slot from which it was removed. Clear out any obstructions or crumbs that are jamming the key or the hinges underneath. You can use tweezers or toothpicks to help.
Use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean off any sticky areas. Be sure not to have so much alcohol on the swab that it drips.
Let the key and keyboard fully dry. You don’t want to leave any liquid underneath the keys, even rubbing alcohol.
Insert the keys back into their original places. Gently press the key down. It should snap back into place.
If using a laptop, insert the clip into the position it originally held before you place the key back into its spot.
Check your keys. They should be unstuck now. If not, you may need to take it to someone who repairs computers.
