Politics › Let Us Not Hear Of House Arrest by aderadio1(op): 5:32pm On Aug 03, 2024 |
Seeing some protesters waving a foreign flag in what ordinary suppose to be an internal issue is way out of ordinary.
Please everyone should be careful now, it's obvious the protest have been infiltrated by foreign powers. Let us not use our hands and bring deserter to our beloved country. Politicians, please redress your wrong footsteps to avoid this avoidable earthquake.
Pbat, pls do quick to arrest this situation, stop scoring own goal, address the protesters and assure them of positive change. Your VP is talking but no one is listening to him. As the father of the nation pls say something.

MossadAgent: You are the illiterate if you can't see that pricing our crude in naira will see to naira demand .
If we took this step further and decide to price all crude exports in naira , you will see potential buyers of Nigeria's crude opening FX accounts with the CBN to purchase our Naira .
If you can't see how that will strengthen the naira and also reduce excess liquidity and thus reduce inflation to the barest minimum then you have no business opening topics complaining about what you obviously don't know jack shit about. You know it's not possible to price crude in naira for foreign buyers. Nigeria is not Russia. Dangote is a local buyer so he can buy with local currency. The advantage of Dangote is the jobs, taxes, exports(Fx) it will earn the economy otherwise selling him in dollars or naira makes no difference to the economy. When he source dollar to buy in dollar, the dollar still remains with us like wise using naira. |

TopBanter: Please speak for yourself and don't include those you do not know in your own complicity. When all were cowering in fear, I called out Buhari's and his inner cabal of Malami etal here.
In fact, on this same forum, I was virtually alone engaging Obidients insisting Naira redesign, fuel scarcity etal were machinations of the Buhari cabal, using 'hatchet men' Emefiele and co, to cause disaffection against Tinubu so he would not win and the monumental sleaze of the Buhari regime would not be exposed.
They preferred Atiku of PDP become President if they failed to get a stooge like Lawan as APC candidate.
I remember many discredited Nairaland Obidients and Igbos, like PrinceOfLagos etal, praising Buhari "champion of Nigeria's democracy" over his Naira redesign scheme while I insisted it was unneeded, punitively cruel on Nigerians and nothing but a ploy to frustrate BAT.
I have since been proven right about everything and with revelations about Buhari's leadership of Nigeria.
Some Nigerians are exposed and analytically intelligent enough to know how to be progressive followers who give leaders a chance but call them out uncompromisingly when they fail.
I am not part of any "us" group who failed to speak against Buhari. So naira redesign is the only failure of buhari? Can you mention me anywhere you called buhari out for the scarcity of petrol, subsidy removal of multiple times, bandit and herdsmen killings and many others. |

DeLaRue: I agree.
I told my sister yesterday that Federal government cannot start setting up pepper or tomato farm.
She too can help Nigeria by planting something edible in her backyard.
After much argument, she said '...it's true sha'.
But I don't think she'll do it. Most educated Nigerians think working the soil is beneath them.
Everyone is waiting for government. Ok o. So if electrician charge them high they should go and learn to be electrician too. Same with plumber, mechanic, faulkernizer, battery charger and the rest. Interesting. If butcher charge you high, go and be a butcher. If cement price is higher be a dangote and make your own cement. If price of harri is high, fry your own garri so also rice, beans, dodo, tomato, onion, carrot, cucumber, orenge, mango, pear and the rest. Let us not defend every thing pls. What happens to tenants on upstairs flat, maybe they use one room or sitting room as garden right. |
Politics › Re: Northern Group Rallies 19 Northern States For #endbadgovernance Protes by aderadio1: 4:52am On Jul 27, 2024 |
TopBanter: You people are too myopic to see the big picture.
The same North could not protest against Buhari in the eight years he was President with banditry, illegal weapons and death proliferating.
The agricultural sector was totally decimated across our entire nation under Buhari with bandits and herdsmen destroying farms, demanding 'settlement' money from farmers and making it near impossible for even the bravest to continue farming.
They never protested against such that has generated some of the problems Tinubu is attempting to turn around today. These development only show neutral Nigerians the real nature of our so-called unity.
They should protest peacefully in their States and include the immediate deliverance of regional autonomy as a non-negotiable demand if they are serious.
No one not even the desperate Northern leaders and born-to-rule Hawks, can sponsor regime change against Tinubu under false pretences. Take that to the bank.
Anything else they wish to do in their land, to include an odious show of hypocrisy and insincerity, is fine. I had a felling that the north will betray Jagaban and we are partly the cause. It was obvious that Buhari was not doing fine but we kept adamant. I told a friend then that Northerners will not take this kind of bad leadership from anywhere in the south. Now it's crystal clear I was right. Now you have admitted that bubu was a failure but when he was in aso rock it was all praises from all of us. Hypocrisy is our biggest undoing. |

Planned Protest: Foreigners arrive Kaduna from neighboring countries – Group raises alarm 7 hours ago0 6,194 3 minutes read
A Group, Middle Belt Forum (MBF), Kaduna state, has alleged that reports reaching the executive has indicated that foreigners from northern neighboring countries had already arrived in Kaduna State ready to join the demonstration and make it violent.
The group however, kicked against the move, saying it will jeopardize the safety of the event and compromise the message of the demonstration, according to the communique of the forum’s second executive meeting made available to newsmen Wednesday in Kaduna.
According to them, “While the Kaduna State Chapter of the MBF acknowledges that peaceful demonstration is legitimate and necessary over the current hardships faced in the country and the need to draw government attention, the involvement of violent sponsored foreigners has raised genuine security concerns to the Chapter.
“Consequently, the forum advised all our youth from the Middle Belt resident in Kaduna State to refrain from participating in the protest not only over security and safety concerns, but not to be used to achieve the curious objectives of the sponsors. Our youths, known for their orderliness, civility, and discipline, must not be associated with inappropriate acts.
“The security situation has been reported to the national president of the MBF, Dr. Bitrus Pogu, who is currently gathering feedbacks from other states of the Middle Belt before issuing an official position on behalf of the entire Middle Belters.
Earlier, the communiqué signed Yusuf Solomon Danbaki, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Kaduna State Chapter, MBF, stated that the meeting was chaired by Chairman of MBF, Kaduna State Chapter, Comrade Luka Binniyat, who relayed the congratulatory and goodwill messages of the President of the MBF, Dr. Bitrus Pogu, to the newly elected exco of the Kaduna State Chapter.

“The Middle Belt Forum (MBF), Kaduna Chapter held its 2nd executive meeting yesterday in Kaduna. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Luka Binniyat, Chairman of MBF, Kaduna State Chapter.
“Binniyat relayed the congratulatory and goodwill messages of the President of the MBF, Dr. Bitrus Pogu, to the newly elected exco of the Kaduna State Chapter.
“According to him, Dr. Pogu regards the Kaduna State chapter as very critical in the scheme of the MBF, bearing in mind its strategic location in Nigeria and its cosmopolitan nature that accommodates a huge array of Middle Belters.
“A key item on the agenda was the outreach to over 40 ethnic nationalities represented in various socio-cultural ethnic groups from the 14 Middle Belt States resident in Kaduna State and other 57 ethnic nationalities indigenous to Southern Kaduna, which make up the MBF, Kaduna State branch.
“The meeting, which was attended by 22 out of the 27 exco members, agreed that it was time members of the Middle Belt resident in Kaduna State unite as a common front in the interest of their wellbeing, the progress and development of Kaduna State, and Nigeria as a whole.
“With the permission of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the MBF, Barrister Catherine Doosuur Ishu from Benue State was nominated to serve as the Legal Adviser of the MBF, Kaduna State Chapter.
“There was also an initiative for an upcoming Middle Belt Cultural Festival for Middle Belters resident in Kaduna State, for which a committee was set up to kick-start the process.
“It is headed by the Organising Secretary of the Chapter, Hon. Ezekiel Babakarik. The aim is simply to celebrate the region’s rich cultural diversity, taking a break from lamenting the adversity that the Middle Belt has been plunged into for years now.
“During the meeting, concerns were raised about the planned peaceful protest scheduled for August 1st – 10th, 2024. Reports reaching the exco indicated that foreigners from northern neighboring countries had already arrived in Kaduna State ready to join the demonstration and make it violent.
“If so, that will jeopardize the safety of the event and compromise the message of the demonstration. While the Kaduna State Chapter of the MBF acknowledges that peaceful demonstration is legitimate and necessary over the current hardships faced in the country and the need to draw government attention, the involvement of violent sponsored foreigners has raised genuine security concerns to the Chapter. https://thepalacenews.com/planned-protest-foreigners-arrives-kaduna-from-neighboring-countries-in-north-group-raises-alarm/ Are arriving to protest or to support govt? I don't believe this write up if BUA and Dangote price are similar.
Moreover can someone confirm the cement being used on the super highway. |
