Yes, but even if we remove corruption, the problem with subsidy is that the cost of producing a liter of fuel changes.

Like now, assuming we had kept fuel price at N65 , by now the cost of subsidy per liter would have risen from N34 per liter in 2011 december to N800-900 per liter now.

At the end, we would be spending an increasing amount of money from other parts of the budget over the years, just to keep fuel at N65 PER liter.

Even this reintroduction of subsidy that tinubu is doing...

1.No money was budgeted for subsidy beyond June...so where is the money for the new subsidy coming? Other bits of the budget.

2.At the end, that creates a deficit which can be filled by taking more loans and more loans.
