Education / Why Students Fail WAEC(1980-2006) by ADESOLA96(m): 11:37am On Apr 26, 2015
You would agree with me that during this era the rate at which students fail is unheard of. Then WAEC and JAMB work hand-in-hand; and at anytime JAMB can say they need only 1,999 and WAEC will do everything possible to make 2000 students pass.
The question that most people ask is "why". The answer is not far-fetched;reason being that. The amount of higher institution is limited. Unlike now where we even have more than enough, to the extent that schools will start rejecting thereby, giving rooms to other institution to accommodate students.
Nowadays, you'll see 15yrs old in the tertiary institution, how come? Unlike then when at the age of 22yrs you are still struggling with JAMB$WAEC.

Education / What To Think About Tomorrow by ADESOLA96(m): 7:48pm On Apr 09, 2015
It doesn't matter where you are today, what you are today;what matters most is how will your tomorrow look like. Do you climb on others to get to the top and had forgotten that you "mind the people you meet on your way up because you may meet them on your way down". Those you see while climbing the ladder of success are the instigator that push you up. Think of tomorrow, please.
Politics / Why Pa Abraham Adesanya Rejects A Governorship Post. by ADESOLA96(m): 10:41pm On Apr 03, 2015
Late Abraham Adesanya, like many
other world class leaders also
suffered persecutions during his
political life on many fronts. For
instance, at his country home; he
suffered persecutions for not
accepting the governorship position
which his people in his native Ijebu
land had deemed more beneficial to
them than his personal choice of
senate. But history will find
justification in the fact that rather
than enforcing draconian laws as a
governor, reticent but tactful
campaigner Adesanya was more
interested in encouraging and
legislating friendly, home-cooked laws
for his people and the generality of
Nigerians - a people just emancipated
from the shackles of colonial rule and
two post colonial rule military
aberrations. On the leadership front,
his Yoruba and Afenifere leaderships
were heavily burdened by contentions
from his opponents’ tiny quarters, but
he left no one of them in doubt that
he was truly in charge with the strong
character of honesty and consistency
as-well-as pragmatic approach he
often adopted in handling issues.

Religion / Hardened Criminal Turned Pastor. Must Read by ADESOLA96(m): 6:56am On Mar 30, 2015
Shina Rambo (born c. 1963) is a
former bandit who terrorised South-
West Nigeria in the 1990s. After
serving jail-time for his crimes, he
was converted by an evangelist and
became a Christian evangelical
pastor.Shina Rambo now Mathew
Oluwanifemi was a name that sent
shivers down the spine of people who
lived in the South West of Nigeria
and even outside Nigeria, like Benin
Republic and neighborhood, in the
1990s.
He was a hardened criminal, a terror
and killer, one whom men of the
security agencies will never forget in
a haste.
A man mountain, towering about 6 ft
5inch, well built, dark skinned and
sweltering eyes, he carried out his
operations, like a movie, in the broad
day light, with sophisticated weapons,
and bullet belts and explosives
strapped roundabout him.
He specialized in robbing exotic cars
on highways and banks. Nothing could
stop him, not even security operatives,
he was totally invincible. He was Shina
Rambo! He was born in the year 1958
to a military man who was a bad egg in
the service. His father was from
Abeokuta in Ogun state, but his
mother was a native of Sabongida–Ora
in Edo state.
His father had over 18 wives, as was
the norm for soldiers to impregnate
virtually every woman they met where
they were posted to.His father used
his military influence to rob innocent
citizens, and always brought huge
amount of money home.
This used to entice little Shina. He
recalls, “I remembered when I was
about 7 years old, my father came
home with a lot of money, foreign
currencies, with blood on it, and they
were using something like a woman’s
scarf to wipe it, then I asked him, is
this an animal’s blood, or human blood?
But he wouldn’t answer me, they were
just drinking, smoking, and merry
making.
”Shina was already indoctrinated into
the underworld by his father at a
tender age of 7 without him knowing
it, as he would sit in front of his son,
to dismantle and assemble all sorts of
weapons and then polishing them in
preparation for an operation. This
went on for so long till one day, little
Shina, entered into his father’s room
while he had stepped into the toilet,
and saw a dismembered gun on the
floor.
He sat down in front of it, and bit by
bit, he had assembled it effortlessly
in no time at all. His father came out
of the toilet, and saw his son, with a
loaded gun in his hands. Shina flashed
back and said, “That day my father
was so disappointed, that he wanted
to kill me, he grabbed the gun from
my hand and shot straight at me, but
I miraculously escaped out of the
room. Then he waited for me to be less
alert at night he came to my room
with a machete and tried to behead
me, but once again, I escaped, but the
machete caught my left leg. (rolled up
his trouser to show us the large scar,
that made everyone sighed in pity).
It cut me so deep I thought I was
never going to walk again. That day I
knew I had graduated, all that was
left was to pull the trigger, and I was
so eager. Shina Rambo became so
notorious in no time, and was hell bent
on succeeding in his career as an
armed robber, that he went through
any length to secure spiritual powers
for fortification.
To the extent of pounding over 27 live
new born babies in the mortar with a
pestle, cutting off about 100 human
tongues and cooking them to eat,
visiting the spiritual river called river
of life in Ogoja, Cross Rivers State,
living in an Iroko tree for days, and
sleéping in the cemetery.
He was given a spiritual wife who
always followed him for any operation,
she dressed like an Alhaja, people
thought she was human, but she was a
spirit, that was why they never saw
her face.
He said she was his personal driver,
that she could drive from Nigeria to
Cotonou, in the speed of light.
Hear him. ”I was involved in so many
rituals, that I can’t start naming them
now, I was so powerful, I went
underground, inside trees that looked
like a city, a lot of beautiful houses
inside the tree, I had my own too, I
went into a river called River of life in
Ogoja, where a lot of politicians and
wealthy men used to come, I had
several personalities, I could change
my form whenever I wanted to, that’s
why the police were busy killing
innocent people, and thought they
were killing Shina Rambo.
The 9 herbalists that gave me that
power, I became stronger than them,
one day I went to their shrines, and
killed all of them, so that they don’t
reveal my secrets. I had too many
powers; my spiritual wife could drive
any car in this world or out of it, no
police vehicle, or anyone for that
matter, could ever chase and catch
me during an operation.
She was out of this world, and when
she had completed her operation, they
took her away from me. I could give
anything to get powers, and the elders
knew, so they also gave me anything I
wanted.I once beheaded hundred
men, and gave them the heads fresh,
they were so happy with me that they
made me invincible.
No matter the kind of bullet you shot
at me, it was just like pure water on
my body. I could give anything to get
power, but of all the things I did to
get power, the one that still breaks
my heart the most, is sléeping with my
mother. My father is dead now, but
my mother is still alive, and she lives
with me she is 85 years old, whenever
I set my eyes on her, I just start
crying.
I can`t bear it. Shina Rambo was a
raging terror, he was infallibly
dangerous, the police dreaded him,
both in Nigeria, and Benin Republic,
his place of interest for business.
He would go to police stations, in
broad daylight and kill every
policeman there, drive to check points
and open fire on every policeman on
duty, he didn’t like the police at all,
and was never afraid of them, he
operated in broad day light armed to
the teeth looking like Johny Rambo, in
the popular Sylvester Stalone movie,
“First Blood”.
He once robbed 40 exotic cars in one
day and drove all of them in a convoy,
from Lagos to Cotonou, unstopped. He
was powerful; he was wealthy, and
impenetrable. He was a tin god,
apparently belched from the very
arroyo hell, we all dreaded him. He
had a wife and three children, but he
lost all of them in one day during a
bloody police raid whilst he was away
on operation.
His wife was his stabilizing factor his
life changed afterwards. He says “my
wife was everything to me,
I was forbidden by the elders to
sléep with any other woman apart
from her, I could gather about 50
women around me in a hotel, and they
will just be playing with me, we would
smoke, drink, and sniff cocaine, I will
give them money but I will never sleép
with them. I will go back home to my
wife and sleép with her. That was why
the police never caught me. She knew
my job, she knew what I was, I never
left them alone at night, I operated in
the day time and go back home to my
family at night.
I had everything, I was very wealthy,
I once spent 50 million naira in a day.
I did it a lot, there was one day that
we were coming from an operation and
it seemed as if my powers were going
to fail me, the police and the army
were almost closing in on us, so we had
to drive into a crowd and threw
millions of naira in the air, there was
commotion, everybody was busy
picking naira notes even the police,
until we escaped.
I was too rich, but anything the devil
gives you never lasts, he will collect
more from you, it’s only the devil that
will give you Fila, (cap) and ask for Iro
and Buba.(wrapper and top). I lost
everything, all the money, my family; I
was so powerful the police couldn’t
catch me but I lost it all.I had to
surrender myself to the police, and I
was arrested and jailed for 11 years.
When I was serving my jail term in
Agodi prisons, Ibadan, Prophet T.O
Obadare came visiting, and having
been encouraged several times by the
Christian brothers and sisters in the
prison to give my life to Christ, he
prayed for me and converted me, and
changed my name to Oluwanifemi, and
it was so miraculous, the next day I
woke up and started speaking in
tongues. It was during the time of
President Olusegun Obasanjo, that we
were granted freedom.
At this point, I was glued to my seat,
the revival where Shina Rambo gave
this exclusive confession was on an
open ground revival in the ancient city
of Ibadan, right in front of me, on
stage, was Evangelist Mathew
Oluwanifemi, the once feared Shina
Rambo, clad in a loose fitting shirt,
black pants and a pair of leather
sandals with a black Holy Bible in his
hands, gigantic dark skinned and bald
headed, still had those fiery looks,
and stealth movement.
I was more transfixed than focused,
God is indeed awesome, he picked the
offering basket raised it to the
congregation prayed and asked who
had anything to give to God, at first I
was reluctant, my mind was occupied
and out of an innate compulsion, sheer
curiosity I stood up, dipped my hand in
my pocket walked towards him briskly
and calculatedly brought out my
offering, dropped it into the basket,
and looked deep into his eyes, I had
too many things to ask him, there
were too many questions unanswered.
He looked back at me, and spoke in
Yoruba, saying God bless you my
brother; we know your type when we
see them.The congregation broke into
a mild giggle, as all eyes were on me as
I went back to my seat, with a lot of
things on my mind, and the red light on
my midget still blinking, in the bosom
pocket of my jacket…

Education / The 1998 Letter Of MKO by ADESOLA96(m): 12:04am On Mar 30, 2015
MKO's letter to Pa Abraham Adesanya in 1998. Papa, Please make photocopies for
others at your discretion I ask you to
greet them well.
My dear Senator Abraham Adesanya, 5-7-98
My eternal thanks for your
steadfastness in the face of
overwhelming odds, may God crown our
efforts with unqualified success.
I have just heard, yesterday that our
Papa Ajasin died sometimes ago. May
his soul rest in peace. I will write a
separate letter to Mama.
I learnt that a newspaper published a
disinformation about my meeting with
Kofi Annan and Chief Anyaoku. Yes,
they asked me for a signed statement
that I will not declare myself
President again after my release. They
believe such a signed statement will
enable the FMG to give me an
UNCONDITIONAL release.
Firstly, the release, I said, ceases to
be unconditional if it can only be
brought about by the type of
statement they demanded. Secondly,
any statement will be worthless, being
obtained by duress. Thirdly, my
declaration, of 11/6/94 was made at a
big rally with thousands present. A
private statement of the type they
demand will do a discredit to me and to
FMG. No withdrawal of the earlier
declaration can be valid if not made in
the same way as the one it wants to
negate. Fourthly, I do not need to
make another declaration since the
11/6/94 one still subsists and has
served and is still serving the purpose
for which it was made. It is this last
point that must have been twisted as a
withdrawal.
Tell me, sir, if I was told to withdraw,
was it to the two diplomats that I
would withdraw? Something seriously
must have been wrong with them.
The second major point they made was
that after five years, the mandate has
lapsed. Anyaoku said he sought a legal
opinion which I said in my replies that
(1) the lapse was caused by a series of
illegalities and criminalities
perpetrated by IBB and Abacha. IBB's
purported cancellation and Abacha's
determination to usurp my legitimate
position by locking me in one room until
I pass away. Can a criminal profit from
his criminality? They had no answer to
that.
(2) On legal advice, I told the
diplomats that no political crises is
ever settled by "legal advice". I told
them confidently that the logic of
events will disprove their theoretic
diplomatic fancies. "God willing, (and
by the way I learnt the "London
Times" asked for my recognition in its
last Friday edition.) Enough for their
"time-lag" arguments.
Both of them behaved as diplomatic
advisers to the FMG.. God willing, they
will have no effect on our progress.
Thank you, My love to Chief Ajayi and
your whole family. How is our Mama
HID? Please, give my love. I love you.
MKO"

Politics / The Times Of Pa Abraham Adesanya by ADESOLA96(m): 11:50pm On Mar 29, 2015
Abraham Aderibigbe Adesanya (July
24, 1922 in Ijebu Igbo - 27 April
2008) was a Nigerian politician,
lawyer, activist, welfarist, aristocrat
and liberal progressive. He was the
son of a famous and powerful
traditional healer, the late Oloye
Ezekiel Adesanya aka Baba
Obu’keagbo who lived between the
19th and 20th centuries.
Education
Adesanya attended Ijebu Ode
Grammar School after which he
worked as a teacher before travelling
to United Kingdom to study law at the
then Holborn College of Law.
Early Political Life
In 1959, Adesanya returned to
Nigeria as a qualified lawyer and
joined the Action Group led by
Obafemi Awolowo. The same year, he
was nominated and eventually elected
to the defunct Western House of
Assembly to represent Ijebu Igbo
constituency in the December 12,
1959 House of Representatives
Election.
Having qualified as an ambassador of
the Action Group's core social
democratic ideals, he secured another
nomination to the second republic
Senate. He was said to have
preferred his senatorial appointment
to the Governorship ticket that was
originally offered him by the Unity
Party of Nigeria, a successor to the
Action Group. This principle was to be
further justified in the roles played
by him in the effort to re-define
Nigerian politics and Nigerian
democracy.
He was a religious Awoist. He led a
team of lawyers that defended Chief
Obafemi Awolowo against the
Nigerian Federal Government's
exaggerated charges of treason in
1962.
As a Leader and Activist
In the aftermath of the deaths of
Obafemi Awolowo and Adekunle
Ajasin, Adesanya assumed the
honorific title ' Asiwaju of
Yorubaland ' and simultaneously
became more active politically, allying
with Bola Ige (Ayo Adebanjo, Ganiyu
Dawodu, and Bola Tinubu to fight
their way to victory in six states of
the defunct Western region, with
their political party, Alliance for
Democracy (AD).
Later, Adesanya under the auspices of
Afenifere and the Yoruba council of
Elders, alongside others led a
congress of Yoruba elder-statesmen
through a congress that rose to
pronounce that the convocation of a
constitutional conference, where new
confederating terms would be
determined for the country, was
inevitable for the good of Nigerians.
Adesanya was the deputy leader of
National Democratic Coalition
(NADECO), a pro-democracy
movement formed in 1994.
Turbulence and victory
At the peak of military persecution,
many of the then pro-democracy
activists, including his leader in
NADECO, Chief Anthony Enahoro fled
the country on exile, but Abraham
Adesanya remained at home solidly
behind the Nigerian masses alongside
others like late Gani Fawehinmi, Femi
Falana, Olisa Agbakoba and a host of
others to achieve victory which came
gradually - first when IBB bowed out
of their way in 1993 - a period that
saw Adesanya acting as the
mouthpiece of Nigerians, persistently
condemning the General Ibrahim
Babangida’s (IBB) annulment of June
12 Presidential election won by late
Chief MKO Abiola and second, when
General Sanni Abacha attempted to
transform from a military head of
state to a civilian president - a period
Adesanya firmly stood his position as
a pro-democracy activist and a
progressively minded politician, siding
with Nigerians and ardently opposed
to Abacha’s ideas, and lastly when in
1999, democracy was eventually
ushered in. These feats saw him and
the group he led for five eventful
years rise to the international
limelight in reported news and
commentaries.
Late Abraham Adesanya, like many
other world class leaders also
suffered persecutions during his
political life on many fronts. For
instance, at his country home; he
suffered persecutions for not
accepting the governorship position
which his people in his native Ijebu
land had deemed more beneficial to
them than his personal choice of
senate. But history will find
justification in the fact that rather
than enforcing draconian laws as a
governor, reticent but tactful
campaigner Adesanya was more
interested in encouraging and
legislating friendly, home-cooked laws
for his people and the generality of
Nigerians - a people just emancipated
from the shackles of colonial rule and
two post colonial rule military
aberrations. On the leadership front,
his Yoruba and Afenifere leaderships
were heavily burdened by contentions
from his opponents’ tiny quarters, but
he left no one of them in doubt that
he was truly in charge with the strong
character of honesty and consistency
as-well-as pragmatic approach he
often adopted in handling issues.
On Tuesday 14 January 1997, his
uncompromising stance to the military
misrule led to an attempt on his life at
the behest of the then head of state,
General Sanni Abacha. Adesanya had
just left his law chambers on the
fateful day sitting at the back of his
car when an unknown team of
assailants (later unveiled to be
General Sanni Abacha's killer squad)
struck. The front and back screens of
his Mercedes Benz car were
shattered and the car seats
perforated by bullets from the
assailants' guns but he escaped
unhurt with his driver.[1] The car was
later transferred to a Lagos museum.
Illness and death
Before Adesanya later became
incapacitated by illness which
confined him to his Lagos Apapa
residence and made his role
appreciably gravitate to advisory on
important matters affecting Yoruba
and Afenifere only; the two
leadership caps he unarguably wore
till his death, his fame travelled wide
and far among Nigerians and non-
Nigerians for his pro-democracy
activities in Nigeria.
He died on the 27th of April 2008
while having lunch at the ripe age of
85.
Since his death, he has been
immortalised in several ways,
especially by the six South-Western
states of Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo,
Osun and Ekiti.

at me, it was just like pure water on
my body. I could give anything to get
power, but of all the things I did to
get power, the one that still breaks
my heart the most, is sléeping with my
mother. My father is dead now, but
my mother is still alive, and she lives
with me she is 85 years old, whenever
I set my eyes on her, I just start
crying.
I can`t bear it. Shina Rambo was a
raging terror, he was infallibly
dangerous, the police dreaded him,
both in Nigeria, and Benin Republic,
his place of interest for business.
He would go to police stations, in
broad daylight and kill every
policeman there, drive to check points
and open fire on every policeman on
duty, he didn’t like the police at all,
and was never afraid of them, he
operated in broad day light armed to
the teeth looking like Johny Rambo, in
the popular Sylvester Stalone movie,
“First Blood”.
He once robbed 40 exotic cars in one
day and drove all of them in a convoy,
from Lagos to Cotonou, unstopped. He
was powerful; he was wealthy, and
impenetrable. He was a tin god,
apparently belched from the very
arroyo hell, we all dreaded him. He
had a wife and three children, but he
lost all of them in one day during a
bloody police raid whilst he was away
on operation.
His wife was his stabilizing factor his
life changed afterwards. He says “my
wife was everything to me,
I was forbidden by the elders to
sléep with any other woman apart
from her, I could gather about 50
women around me in a hotel, and they
will just be playing with me, we would
smoke, drink, and sniff cocaine, I will
give them money but I will never sleép
with them. I will go back home to my
wife and sleép with her. That was why
the police never caught me. She knew
my job, she knew what I was, I never
left them alone at night, I operated in
the day time and go back home to my
family at night.
I had everything, I was very wealthy,
I once spent 50 million naira in a day.
I did it a lot, there was one day that
we were coming from an operation and
it seemed as if my powers were going
to fail me, the police and the army
were almost closing in on us, so we had
to drive into a crowd and threw
millions of naira in the air, there was
commotion, everybody was busy
picking naira notes even the police,
until we escaped.
I was too rich, but anything the devil
gives you never lasts, he will collect
more from you, it’s only the devil that
will give you Fila, (cap) and ask for Iro
and Buba.(wrapper and top). I lost
everything, all the money, my family; I
was so powerful the police couldn’t
catch me but I lost it all.I had to
surrender myself to the police, and I
was arrested and jailed for 11 years.
When I was serving my jail term in
Agodi prisons, Ibadan, Prophet T.O
Obadare came visiting, and having
been encouraged several times by the
Christian brothers and sisters in the
prison to give my life to Christ, he
prayed for me and converted me, and
changed my name to Oluwanifemi, and
it was so miraculous, the next day I
woke up and started speaking in
tongues. It was during the time of
President Olusegun Obasanjo, that we
were granted freedom.
At this point, I was glued to my seat,
the revival where Shina Rambo gave
this exclusive confession was on an
open ground revival in the ancient city
of Ibadan, right in front of me, on
stage, was Evangelist Mathew
Oluwanifemi, the once feared Shina
Rambo, clad in a loose fitting shirt,
black pants and a pair of leather
sandals with a black Holy Bible in his
hands, gigantic dark skinned and bald
headed, still had those fiery looks,
and stealth movement.
I was more transfixed than focused,
God is indeed awesome, he picked the
offering basket raised it to the
congregation prayed and asked who
had anything to give to God, at first I
was reluctant, my mind was occupied
and out of an innate compulsion, sheer
curiosity I stood up, dipped my hand in
my pocket walked towards him briskly
and calculatedly brought out my
offering, dropped it into the basket,
and looked deep into his eyes, I had
too many things to ask him, there
were too many questions unanswered.
He looked back at me, and spoke in
Yoruba, saying God bless you my
brother; we know your type when we
see them.The congregation broke into
a mild giggle, as all eyes were on me as
I went back to my seat, with a lot of
things on my mind, and the red light on
my midget still blinking, in the breast
pocket of my jacket…

Politics / INEC Extend Election! by ADESOLA96(m): 6:28pm On Mar 28, 2015
The Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) has extended
voting in the Presidential and
National Elections to Sunday.
INEC has therefore directed all
Resident Electoral Commissioners in
the country to conduct election
on Sunday in areas where there were
hitches.
The Chairman of INEC Committee on
Information and Voters Education,
Mr. Chris Iyimoga, who addressed
the press at the Media Centre of the
National Collation Centre in Abuja,
said with some hitches in some parts
of the country, there was no way the
Presidential and National Assembly
Elections could be concluded today
(Saturday) .
He said: “Each REC has been
informed to conduct election on
Sunday where there are hitches with
accreditation or voting. I cannot say
exactly the number of states
affected but the problems are not in
all the states.”
Other National Commissioners at the
briefing were Ishmael Igbani;
Muhammadu Wali; Engr. Nuru Yakubu;
and Gladys Nwafor.
On his part, National Commissioner
Igbani said: “No one can really say
what went wrong in Otuoke but the
machine or the card readers could
not capture the fingerprints of the
President and the First Lady. Where
such a situation arises, we have to
use manual system.”
Politics / Winners. Chapel Burnt Down by ADESOLA96(m): 6:23am On Mar 28, 2015
A branch of the Living Faith Church,
popularly called the Winners Chapel,
in Giwa, headquarters of Giwa Local
Government Area of Kaduna State,
has been set ablaze.
The church, founded by Bishop David
Oyedepo, was reportedly set ablaze
by two unidentified arsonists.
During the incident that happened on
March 20, 2015 at about 2:30pm,
nothing was saved from the church.
The burning of the church came a
few months after the reported
endorsement of President Goodluck
Jonathan by Oyedepo.
A terse statement issued on
Thursday in Abuja by the President
of Tarayyar Masihiyawan Nijeria
(Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri Christians),
General Ishaku Ahmed Dikko (rtd),
and the Director of National Issues
of the Christian Association of
Nigeria, Sunny Oibe, entitled:
“Presidential Elections 2015: Signs of
what to expect,” called on security
agencies to act fast to avoid violence
in the area.
According to Dikko and Oibe, the
Christians in the North, particularly
the Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri speaking
Christians, who are indigenous in
these states and live within and
among their kith and kin, “are in
serious jeopardy”.
The statement reads in full: “Giwa is
the Headquarters of Giwa Local
Government Area of Kaduna State.
On Friday, 20 March, 2015 at about
2:30 pm, two (2) unknown hoodlums on
a motorcycle drove into the premises
of Living Faith Church (Winners
Chapel) and set it ablaze.
“The Church was razed to the ground
and nothing was saved from the
Church including the building. This
action surprised the Christian
Community, especially the Church
members, as there was no tension or
any sign of it between Christians and
Muslims in the town.
“It is, however, a known fact that
the people of the Local Government
have not been friendly with the
Christian Community even though over
90 percent of them are of the same
Huasa-Fulani indigenes.
“The incident actually became more
worrisome when no effort was made
by a passersby to assist in putting out
the fire. In fact, it was a Fulani
herdsman that saw the fire and
reported to the Police Station. Only
one Policeman and a Christian
volunteer that ran to the scene and
attempted to put out the fire but of
course could not achieve anything.
“This situation and the circumstances
surrounding the incidence are a cause
of serious concern. If this can happen
more than a week to the Presidential
Elections, what shall we expect
during or after the elections? Is this
a sign of what to expect or a dress
rehearsal of a repeat of 2011 Post –
Election Violence? This is a wakeup
call to the Federal, State and Local
Government Authorities,especially
the Security Agencies.
Oyedepo’s Church, Winners
Chapel burnt down over
purported support for Jonathan
“The Christians in the North,
particularly the Hausa, Fulani and
Kanuri speaking Christians, who are
indigenous in these States and live
within and among their kith and kin
are in serious jeopardy”.

wrong for President Jonathan to order

Politics / Best Solution To Insurgency . by ADESOLA96(m): 1:01pm On Jan 18, 2015
With the abduction of theChibok girls,President Goodluck
Jonathan has
refused to exchange the girls for the imprisoned Boko
Haram members as
was stated by the leader of Boko Haram sect, Abubakar
Shekau who made
an order demanding a swap of some of the abducted girls
for boko haram
members held in government prisons.
In March 2014, 20 Boko Haram suspects detained at the
department of
state security service, Asokoro-Abuja were killed by the
agent for
attempting a jail break.
Also on the 13th of May,2014,residents of kalabage
village in Borno
state who were frustrated by Boko Haram attack, killed
over 200 of
them, arrested 10 of them and handed them over to the
security agents.
Also on the 14th of April,2014,Nyanya bomb
perpetrators were arrested
through the efforts of interpol,Nigeria police and
department of state
security service. Having a good number of Boko Haram
suspects in
prison and their continuous arrest, I can fully say that the
government are trying their best in putting to an end this
Boko Haram
saga.
The question that begs for urgent answer is who are the
sponsors of
Boko Haram? The ruling party (PDP) has severally accused
the All
Progressive Congress (APC) in this direction. Dr. Ngozi
Okonjo-Iweala
also concurs on the fact that boko haram Is the brainchild
of
unscrupulous politicians.
This insurgents and terrorists claim to abhor western
education but
make use of products of this education system. If they
are sure and
fully know that they want to put a stop to western
education, they
should have as their first priority, the issues of not using
products
of western education.
Finally, this Boko Haram saga could be put to an end
through dialogue
and roundtable conference and practicing their religious
reforms on
their own not involving the general public, if they think
western
education is a sin.
