The job
We are looking for an Agritech Officer at our office in Ikom, Cross River State, who will work with other team members to support the effective implementation and monitoring of our digital agricultural systems. The officer will be responsible for data collection and will actively support field-level activities aimed at improving farm productivity and sustainability.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Implementation of RA farm requirements/standard and yearly Work-Plan of project activities, supervision of project farmers and Farmer Field Schools in assigned location.
• Data collection on the field for documentation of farmers’ profiles which includes the collection of demographic data, signing of farmer contracts, farm inspections, risk assessment, yield estimation as well as the development of other tools and templates needed for successful external audit.
• Support the maintenance of the Internal Management System and identification of lead farmers for step-down training to farmers on topics relevant to RA and sustainable agriculture.
• Ensure that producers understand the requirements of the RA standard and clients’ requirements and ensure that farmers are improving their techniques.
• Recognize and report interesting stories and provide a progress report on-field activity.

The Job
We are looking for a Data Analyst based in Akure, Ondo State, to support the implementation and monitoring of our digital agricultural systems. The role involves collecting, managing, and analyzing data to generate insights, as well as supporting field-level activities that improve farm productivity and sustainability.
Role and Responsibilities
• Management of data sets collected by field officers through MergData.
• Through analysis on
o First layer: high over check on data quality
o Second layer: in depth check on data quality through interpretation.
 Overseeing annual surveying activities related to certification, namely farmer registration, farm profiling and farm inspection and training attendance.
 Overseeing GPS mapping and data transfer of shape files to the central database, as well as conducting analyses on the polygon data with GIS software.
 Conduct polygon and deforestation analysis for all plots in the BB supply chain
 Ensure geolocation information on all plots of production.
 Ensure GPS data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
 Verify and update existing maps to ensure accuracy and completeness.
 Follow-up with field officers on data quality issues.
• Create and manage trackers and dashboard for GMR survey
Requirements
• A well-motivated and proactive person
• B.Sc. degree or Higher Diploma in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any other Social Science related courses with a minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience.
• Knowledge of statistics experience using statistical packages for analyzing data sets and data visualization (Excel, SPSS, SAS, STATA, GIS, Power BI etc.) and database design and management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail.
• Proficient at queries, report writing, and presentation of findings.
• The position will be based in Akure with occasional field trip visits to project areas.
• Proficiency in GIS software, GPS equipment, and remote sensing technologies.
• Ability to accurately collect, record, and manage data, and ensure data quality and completeness.
• Ability to communicate technical information and data to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a changing and dynamic environment and adapt to new technologies and approaches.
• Basic knowledge and skills in general agriculture, especially cocoa farm management/agroforestry
• Experience with field data collection and GPS equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance.

The job
We are looking for a Community Development Officer at our station in Ondo, Ondo state, who will work within the CommDev team of Beyond Beans to ensure smooth implementation of CLMRS system. The officer is responsible for data collection using the digital CLMT tool and be involved in remediation activities to combat child labour. Data collection includes daily interactions with farmers and their families and farm visits. Also, the officer will work to establish and monitor VSLAs and carry out training and awareness sessions on child protection in our supply chain communities.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Continuous digital data collection as part of CLMT and VSLA activities.
• Verify identified cases of child labour in our supply chain.
• Implement remediation activities with our cocoa-growing households
• Carry out awareness sessions at individual households and community levels.
• Report all field activities to the CommDev Project Manager, including the collected data.
• Support in the training of child labour liaison officers in the Assess and Address Committee.
• Work together with other field officers, including assistance, coaching, any other (CERT+) projects, or other relevant activities.
• Monitor the activities of Village, Savings, and Loan Associations.
• Carry out follow-up visits and adequate monitoring of households.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by the CommDev Project Manager.
Requirements

• Strong communication, Training and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate in the local dialect (Yoruba/Pidgin)
• A good diploma or University Degree in agricultural science, social sciences, social works, humanities, education, or other related fields.

• Computer literate and able to use basic digital data collection tools and applications
• Independent, capacity to work with little supervision as well as in a team
