I heard a school is planning to merge 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 set for admission...this will be done in other to balance there debacled academic calender..........although yet to be confirmed..

Unilag and UI is located in the western part of Nigeria, without doubt ONDO is among the catchment area of these UNI'S. If you are willing to stay in your Geographical zone these two uni is best for you.

UNIBEN:- Ondo peeps do rush in to Uniben yearly. I know no reasons for this,may be Ondo is among the catchment area of Uniben. Although,people have Always criticise Uniben for their admission process,but to some extent the skul has been fair.
ADEX097 now an Uniben student who hails from Ondo can explain more.

UNIPORT:- I know nothing much about Uniport.
Uniport as a skul has no catchment area. She treats all state equally just like Uniabuja.

This info might look scanty,but I hope it's helpful.

Ondo state is not among the catchment area of Uniben.
From the lil I know, I think The indigenes of Ondo probably rush into Uniben due to the closeness of Ondo and Edo (Geographically).
Back to the main issue here, just as you've said, the admission process @Uniben is kinda fair [to some extent].
As a matter of fact, I won't advise a "below average" (academically) aspirant that's not an indigene of Edo to choose Uniben.
The truth is indeed bitter but we've gat to be realistic when it comes to making some crucial and significant decisions in life.
