Let me give a total breakdown.
First of all,evry1 had d opportunity 2 mak a presentatn contrary 2 ur expectatn,bt must first submit a memo(a written form of d issues u feel should be adressed by d gvt) wic would be taken by d committee.
I ws informed late abt d memo ish,so I couldnt finish writin mine b4 d day.It ws a dialogue for South South states i.e Edo,Delta,Rivers,Bayelsa etc.
D hall used ws pweety small, abt 1000 capacity.
It ws nt until 1pm dat d program rili started.
While in d hall,I ws opportuned 2 see som Political giants,bourgeosies,bulldogs n Lions of d society,many of whom smelt notin but Crude Oil n ASO ROCK.
Lookin outside d hall ws lik a war zone,as security personells numbered in deir hundreds n I could bet dat d cars parked outside wer more dan d people inside.
It startd wit an openin prayer as spokesmen of dft assosiatns wer called first 2 share their thoughts,most of wic centered on ethnicity,resource control,effective representatn of d grassroot n an indirect insinuatn 2 divide d country.
They wer each given 5-10mins.Jst wen abt 4 persons had took d stage, Adams Oshiomhole(Gvnr of Edo state) stepped in as a standin ovation welcumd him.
Afta greetin dos he deemd fit wit a handshake,he went 2 d high table.
Jst afta 2 oda peeps gav their views,Oshiomhole came out 2 speak.....n contrary 2 d expectatns of d pple der,he started condemnin d whole excersice....
He said d programm was ill planned first of all bcuz no clear cut topic ws made,he later said d conference will nt achieve anyfin,dat smtin lik dis hv been done b4 n wasnt implimentd,bla bla bla....
Dis spooked d people around n enraged em....as they stood up n startd shoutin at him,d uproar ws so intense n pple startd scaterin n liftin chairs,screamin at d Govnr 2 leave d hall...bt he waited,tinkin d hulabaloo will eva stop.
Bt d rage continued until he succumd 2 d booing of d crowd n fled d scene cuz a physicl attack seemed imminent as many threw water cans at him.
Many left d hall,feelin a serious violence wil break out,odas left feelin dissapointd n som odas left bcuz dey felt d meetin had abrupty com 2 a close.
So dat by d end of d rantin,only 1 quarter of dos in d hall remaind,includin me ofcourse.
Tho d programm continued,d deed had been done n many claimd dat dis ws d mission of d govnr there.Bt if truly Oshiomhole's plan ws 2 scatter d programm,he jst achievd 1st class success.
Tho a few odas spoke, no 1 rili listened as many wer discussin wit d nearest person 2 dem,(wic made me establish relatships wit a few bulldogs) while odas wer eatin d "heaven made" delicasy dat ws served.
Jst wen we all tut dat evrywer ws calm,som thugs came in n startd threatenin sm individuals 4 embarassin d Govnr...esp d Youths around der....sayin"they will nt leave wit their lives"
One of d youths took 2 d stage n claimed dat Oshiomhole had sent his thugs 2 attack dem n dat d Committee chairman sud provide security 4 him n his pple while leavin.....D place ws nw a mess,n d chairman decided 2 close d dialogue at 4.15pm...much to d delite of virtually evry1 der.
Many pple dint get d chance 2 talk,n I said 2 myself,even if my memo ws ready,I wouldnt hv spoken anyway....dat sought of compensated me.
Though all dat happnd,nt a single shot ws fired as many had feared dat at least 5 pple wil lose their lives der.
I left finally n sought of laughed tinkin of all d ish.
Bt I neva regreted goin....not a single bit....n if I hv d opportunity,I'll attend more.

D only country where evry1 is insensitive to odas feeling..who noticed dat Jamb 2014 form is out? I'd advise you to choose a federal university that has your state of origin in its catchment area .

L0L...you are on your own if you do that o....if ASUU strike no end next year or next 2yrs (God forbid) , that won't stop jamb from organizing their entrance examinations (private unis need jamb too) ...the only thing wey go happen be say, jamb admission go would be in batches in all FED/STATE ASUU owned universities , like batch A (that's 2013/2014 set) , batch B (2014/2015 set) , batch C (2015/2016 set) and so on .... All the batches can't resume @thesame time....you should know that by now . Every federal institution has its own carrying capacity.
