teejay231: A spouse of a settled person gets 2.5 years x 2 (5 years route) before indefinite. 2.5years x 4 (10 years route) is for parents of a settled person or for spouses who do not meet the financial requirements but qualify under exceptional circumstances. Correct! |

joygirl2017: You could have just written that in full but anything can happen to tomorrow uk are good at changing immigration laws No wahala we good . Have a good weekend . @erico2k2 10years route are mainly for those who do not meet the financial requirement the normal way according to d new rule and some other situations. But if u meet the financial requirement not on probation and ur spouse is British, u have the 5year route. |

obiw24: I'm not sure they have anything against laminated documents. They only ask that you add copies of documents you'd like returned. I submitted laminated copies of my doc but I never get visa yet so I'm not an authority on the matter. @readynow I submitted laminated certificates and got my visa. As long as u meet all the requirements (financial, English and accomodation "original or certified documents), and strong proof of relationship, u good to go. Also, pray and trust God |

Did you get your documents back, from what I have been reading priority is taking between 50- 60 working days. God help us day 42 days today. My application is different. I mean decision was made in Warsaw . so I submitted all docs to d TLS center in Austria, they took it to Warsaw...and sent all my docs (documents) today with my passport and visa. Just yield all to God ... Nothing is impossible with God. |

sholeke: Is really unfair we are day 40 today. I agree with you. You will get a decision email soon, judging from the other group on fb, most priority application(from peoples timeline) are done at the moment within 40-60days for the 90 & 120days standard also within 35-55 days for the 60days standard. Sheffield have about 3million applications at the moment (according to what ukvi told an applicant who called ) Our cases are different, I am not dwelling on it... Just keep yourself busy with other stuff, pray and Trust God totally & u get decision soon. |

sholeke: I called the UK Visas and Immigration today and I was told we may have to wait till 12 weeks before they can send an email as priority application is taking this long and I told the lady this should not be so. We are on 8 weeks tomorrow, is not fair to pay extra money and not get what you pay for. I pray to God not to wait this long , all our plans has been messed up. Really feeling sad now Yes, same stuff they told me. Though today is my 17th working day (priority, application submitted in Austria) Below is their reply

@lexusgs430 @justwise and other gurus Please in regard to this section with a yellow mark (see attachement below).
Is it suppose to be filled after ticking 18600 (applying with no child under 18 or is it meant for those whom have more than 3 children ? Because if you noticed above the yellow mark, it is written to indicate how many children you have , then I felt in the section (market yellow), let's say u have 4 children, then u to indicate in the space = 29,600.
But if without children, is ticking just 18,600 above satisfactory or you still must state 18,600 again in section market yellow?
Just wana be sure if I did it right. Thanks.

You try to plan things you can do with your partner when you finally meet.try to occupy your days to make the time pass by .I joined the firm "I love my foreign spouse" on Facebook .They are very supportive and everyone report their progress so you know it's right around the corner . Very true. Am also a member of the group. |

@ooooyes Yes, a living room is counted as a sleeping room. So it is fine. In the application u be asked how many sleeping room, u answer one and they will also ask how many other room (aside, kitchen n bathroom..), then u shud add one....making it a total of 2 rooms. If u have extra cash , get a property inspection report. That will state if the property is suitable for u , ur son and husband. https://www.hussainarchitecture.co.uk/property-inspection-ukba |

ooooyes: Hello everyone. Please house I need help with the answer to a very pressing question. I just applied for settlement visa. Bsed on the advice from this forum i know I am on track, meaning I meet all requirements but my concern is the accommodation. My husband lives alone in a spacious one bedroom flat but myself and our two year old son will be joining him. Though we've been there before but it was on a visiting visa. Now that I am applying for settlement visa, will eco consider the apartment too small? Please note that my son is British so the application is just for me alone.
Please house, urgent response will be appreciated thanks @ooooyes Check out the screenshot I sent Nb: children under 1year old are not counted. But 1year-10years old are counted as half. So in your case you are 2.5 number of people. Also if the apartment has a separate living /sitting room, then it is counted as 2 rooms. If that be your case, then it is okay and not overcrowded.

tosine: As long as you have other supporting documents such as emails, chat logs, phone logs, pictures of time spent together before during after wedding, marriage certificate, evidence that you have visited each other along with the proof of money transfer will confirm that your relationship is genuine. Thanks |
Travel › Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by AdimO1(m): 9:54pm On May 27, 2017 |
deept: If you are doing a cover letter you can explain the reason for the transfer especially since it is from the sponsor to the applicant not vice versa (could be seen as arranged),i believe it will even support your proof of relationship.
i know an applicant who sent substantial amount of money to the sponsor to support as part of deposit to buy a house, they explained it in the application and even put proof of emails with estate agents, mortgage promise from bank, etc. He got the visa.
I believe it can help your application, just add EVIDENCE.... Thanks |

@lexusg430 @justwise @tosine and the house, i was told that proof of money transfer (as show of support ) from Sponsor to Applicant will be viewed as non genuine relationship, especially if the said sum is a large sum or if sent monthly. please would like to know your opinion. thanks |

To the GURU's in the house: please as regards this, "Where Appendix FM-SE requires the applicant to provide specified evidence relating to a period which ends with the "date of application", that evidence must be dated no earlier than 28 days before the date of application."
Does the date of application mean "the date you submitted online application" OR the date you go for " biometric appointment? "
Anticipating your response. Thanks |
